    Back this here omnistar-l80-brightest-lcd.kckb.st/403161e7
I spoke to Casiris about the fan noise and as I have a pre production version they said the final retail unit will be quieter.

Hey I have one coming in hopefully next month, do you know if the Bluetooth goes out to other devices or just for incoming signal?

@@anonymous4201 it's good but I do have a couple gripes. First off I have a receiver that connects to it and I cannot the connected Bluetooth to play the sound from the projector thru my surround speakers. I have to use a Chromecast which has a delay. Also when I was downloading the update for the os it keep freezing to the point I couldn't move the cursor and had to hard reset the system. Besides that tho it's good for the price and the picture is bright and clear. There's better out there for much more $ and worst for around the same price so in that price range it's very good.

    Excellent review as always!
That kickstarter price (and honestly even the predicted MSRP) honestly just seems too good to be true with that brightness and how clear the picture looked in this review, I'm very curious to see how this looks next to my Nebula Cosmos Laser 4K

      Did you compare the two?

    • @toolsanonymous
      @toolsanonymous 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

Nebula Cosmos Laser 4K is 5 times the price, so just buy 5 Omnistar and you still will have some spare change for a screen. Also the Nebula L 4k reviews are not great, so I did wonder between the 2 and I opt in for this one. I will see if the less RAM and the lower resolution will bug me. If they do, I will go for the Nebula 4k to compare if it is 5 times better.

GREAT NEWS. The Omnistar L80 is awesome. I've used it in my home theater on 135", in the backyard, and in a garage projected at about 90" on a white painted wall. I'm pleasantly surprised every single time I use it. Super bright, surprisingly good colors, solid speakers. The only "downside" is just the size, it's massive for a "portable" projector. But this really is a great all-around budget projector.
The Nebula Cosmos Laser 4K is obviously a significantly better image (brighter, clearer, vibrant colors), but like @toolsanonymous pointed out, it's 5 times the cost, so that's a silly comparison to make. Using the Omnistar as my new backyard projector has been an awesome choice. I ended up selling my Nebula to help buy a nice 4K epson for my dedicated theater.
I really do think this is the best value projector available

Oh, P.S. I love that they have numerical offset figures in their keystoning - if you're in the same place most of the time and can remember the numbers that work best for you, it would make things so much quicker/easier.
One thing I wish they'd ALL add (including the high-end ones) is the ability to keep your screen display when keystoning, because I'm rubbish at the "perfect circle" thing, but if I have a row of, say, Amazon Firestick icons, I can generally see if they're distorted.

i got mine today. picture quality is good but the fan noise is loud as hell. its like driving a car with open window in high speed. the speaker can not supior the fan noise. its that loud. i got a cheap 100 bucks projector with less fan noise than that. its incredible loud. im so disappointed.

It's quite nice seeing some of these features - like auto-keystoning/framing, etc. coming to cheaper projectors, and them being a decent 1080p rather than the potato quality you used to get at any price point below £800ish.
There's quite a few on Amazon I'm curious about. The Etoe E3 Pro feels like a slightly smaller/more portable version of something like this Omnistar and is generally around the £210ish mark. If I had the spare cash I'd genuinely pick it up just to see what it can do - it's never going to compete with my Horizon Pro, but as something you could nip round to a friend's house with, or shove in a garden at night with a portable screen, for that price point it could be well worth a punt.

Did you notice any screendoor on bright white scenes? Any vignetting? How was the black level compared to DLP? When you get close up how sharp were the pixels?

My first projector was very noisy... I keep it away... I bought a new Projector but ANSI lumens too low... Next which is now, I bought a higher ANSI lumens projector visible in daytime but its Android is useless. Projector should have low fan noise. Anyone used a Dangbei projector before, how is it?

As a seasoned computer builder and user, I'm wary of anything with fans, for two reasons. The first which was touched on, is noise! The second is DUST! Have you ever looked inside a PC that's been used for a few years? The projector optics will get coated in dust, and dust build-up reduces the efficiency of fan cooling! Not a problem if you live in a "clean-room!" 🤣
Three years on, I'm still marvelling at the outstanding PQ of my Hisense 50" 4K ULED, Quantum Dot Colour, FALD, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos TV! ..... Whenever I sing its praises on TH-cam, I'm told how "terrible" Hisense are, which is news to me! Absolutely cracking TV! I could NOT have chosen better at the price! Incredible value and quality! So, "up yours" to the Hisense haters! 👎🤣
