I bought this for my grandkids..amazing..used Amazon and got it for $199.00 bought a 150 cheap screen for outdoors and firestick 1080p..$250.00 total..You sound like Jewel...
Hi! While the P64 has superior visual and audio quality overall. If you're lacking in space or have a budget, I'd consider the P61, but only if you add additional speakers. The shorter distance will enhance the image quality on both models, making the P61 a sufficient choice in regards to image. However, if you don't plan on adding speakers and really prioritize higher image quality, the P64 is a better option. On the P61 I've noticed some shows can be too quiet for its built-in speakers 😊 If you do go ahead with any of these models, let me know if you have any issues. As I have found, the manual isn't always clear about certain things. When I have time, I'll try to create another video or some shorts to help with troubleshooting issues 😊
I thought I'd add. If you plan on watching quite regularly, P64 might be the better choice. I don't watch movies in my room as often as I do in my living. So thats why the P61 suits my random movies in bed. Its worth investing in the better quality if it will be your main go to. You definitely won't find a tv that will produce the large viewing you get with the P64 at that price. So although it's double the price. Definitely worth it as a main device. Sorry hope that helps. I'm quite conflicted haha. Because I enjoy both in each of my set ups. 😂 Also I think the little one looks cute.
@@Flawnte Good evening Mr.. if possible I would like to have some information, I had purchased a Winius P62 video projector about 20 days ago, and in the first few days of projection the images were quite clear but as the days went by initially small brown spots appeared and then become large dark spots on the projection, I would kindly like to know if it is due to a defect?
@saveriolupelli7313 Hi, this sounds like a defect because I've not seen this happen on any of my devices. And haven't read any reviews will this issue. But Ive only read P64 and P61 reviews. However, contact Wimius immediately. They are very good with their aftersales service. I'm confident they will be able to help you 😊
Hi! You're welcome and thank you ☺️ Yes you can ceiling mount this. The screws are under the rubber feet. Sorry I went through this part a bit quickly. But at just after 2:46 in the video. I circle the feet. The rubber feet will need to be peeled off. Under that there are screws ☺️ And in projector settings, you can adjust the way it's projected. Hope that helps!
Happy new year! So the manual says to slowly unscrew the rubber feet. Unfortunately, I tried this and that does not actually do anything. So I dug my fingernail under the rubber feet and lifted it off. It may however separate it from its sticky adhesive. So I wouldn't recommend taking it on and off too many times. But the holes for mounting were just under that. I won't be mounting mine any time soon. And managed to reuse the same adhesive to stick the rubber feet back on. Worst scenario, one would have to purchase new double sided tape 😊
Very good video! Is the Wimius 64 a true smart projector or just accept Wifi-Fi and bluetooth? Because if not; I'll go with the Toptro X7. Thanks guys!!!
Hi Ray! It's just wifi and bluetooth. So you'll have to add a firestick to get this one smarter. But it could also mirror some apps that allow mirrorcast still ☺️ So Toptro it is then! 😂
Hi Magicrock! Unfortunately it isn't built in. I plug in my chromecast to play all my apps. I did notice on their website that there's a Android TV projector. But I haven't seen it in my country Australia yet. It's called the P63. Hopefully it will be available everywhere soon. ☺️
After trying out this projector, I can say the following: First of all, it is uncomfortably loud and lacks an Eco mode to reduce the noise level. Even at a distance of three meters, the noise is really bothersome. While this might not be a problem for someone who exclusively watches movies with loud sound, it's definitely not an option for me. Furthermore, gaming with this projector is practically impossible or at least not enjoyable due to the high input lag. The image brightness is sufficient when it's dark or there's only minimal light present. However, the image becomes darker towards the edges and noticeably blurry. Reading text can be difficult. Another criticism is the limited ability to adjust the image; the menu is very basic and not comparable to a decent projector from well-known brands like BenQ or LG. Overall, it can be concluded that you can't expect a good projector for around €200. My recommendation would be to invest a bit more. Instead, I bought the Optoma 146x and am much more satisfied. The Optoma is pleasantly quiet in Eco mode, suitable for gaming, brighter, sharper, and has many more adjustment options.
Hi Tom, I am sorry to hear about your experience. I didn't find mine too loud at all. It work very well in our space. But we do have set up in a slightly larger space. In regards to gaming, we've only played the two games. And it was definitely sufficient and enjoyable for us. The Optoma you have suggested is definitely out of my budget atm. Although I was given this P64 to test. I would not be able to afford the Optoma 146x, which is selling for $1250 aud on Amazon. Perhaps one day if i can afford pricier projectors, I will check out projectors at that price range. I did have a quick look into your suggestion. But on Amazon its only rated 4.3 stars. Which is a surprise for that price. I look for a minimum of 4.5 stars with all my purchases. That's the main reason I purchased my first Wimius projector. I do appreciate your comment though. And I'll definitely still keep it in mind in future ☺️ I am very new to the world of projectors. So I have much to learn. Thanks!
I understand you, but I got the optoma for 470€ by Amazon, still a decent amoun more than the wimius but not that much. I'm living in Germany. @@Flawnte
@tomreiner8676 Nice! That's a great price ☺️ I'm not sure why it's so much more expensive here for us aussies. Here, the P64 is $300 aud and the Optoma is $1250. So it's quite a big price jump. But for a small price difference. Those wanting to use a projector mainly for gaming, it definitely makes sense to invest a bit more. You are right. We mainly watch movies and tv shows on our P64, so it works great for us. ☺️
I got it yesterday and to my mind the picture is not fluid, not smooth in action movies. It is plugged with Xiaomi box S. Dont know what too think. How can I update the firmware at least? Did not find the official website with firmwares
Hi Soyouz, we use a Chromecast and have no issues with action movies. We watch a lot of Sci Fi and Marvel/DC movies. I can only see software updates in the settings for this project. So you might need to check with the supplier. 😊 But have read somewhere that you can try boosting a projector’s speed by turning off any additional image processing functions such as keystoning. I haven't had a need to try this. So I'm not sure if it will help. But hopefully for you 🤞
Hi, the projector does not come with Netflix. But you can easily add chromecast/firestick etc to view Netflix. Or you can try mirrorcast/airplay on webbrowser versions of the app 😊
Hi Beerussama3158 Thank you so so much for your comment 🤗 It works well, but as long as it's not too bright. I have used it in the late afternoon/early evening and it was bright. But it's much better during darker lighting.
Hi Mohammed, on Amazon it says it can support Ps5👌 But if you are planning to use it mainly for gaming. Please consider one of the comments below by Tom. As he didn't find it great for gaming. I've only played the two games in this video and we were happy with our experience. ☺️
Thx for the review and you have a nice voice as well ❤
