Just bought the Groview JQ818C last night based off your under $100 review, but figured I'd spend a bit more, ended up being $150. Didn't know you'd be dropping this video today lol. Is it worth the extra $50 to just get the Happrun YG491 over the Groview? Looks like the ANSI brightness is pretty similar, and Contrast might even be better on the Groview. what are your thoughts?
Regardless of price, regardless of size, regardless of closed and open optical paths, regardless of durability, this kind of comparative evaluation really opened my eyes.

You are far and away the best product reviewer on YT. I have been looking forward to this since last year's review. I bought two 818's for $89 based on your reviews. They have both been excellent and the one in the living room must have 1000's of hours on it I would love to upgrade. Any chance of putting the 818 next to the PJ40 Gen3 next to the JMGO N1? Thank You for your Great Work!
One of the top classes of projector reviews. Greatly appreciate your hard work and dedication to inform the important aspects when compared across the projectors.
I bought the Happrun because of the deal you mentioned in the community update, this thing is awesome. Mounted on the wall above the sitting area and the sound quality is actually pretty great it was like having a little home theater. The auto keystoning wasn't great but maybe because of the sharp angle I had it aiming slightly down, but manually configuring it wasn't too bad. Thanks for the testing and recommendations as always!
Since the NexiGo PJ40 (Gen 3) is no longer available on Amazon, would you recommend purchasing the NexiGo PJ40 (Gen 2) with the update, or should I wait? I also learned that the NexiGo PJ40 (Gen 3) has Calibration D65, which makes it better than the (Gen 2). Is that true ?
last year i had been in awe of your methodology of testing. Simply amazing side by side. this year, i'll put my 15 year old viewsonic to rest, and upgrade to your #1 recommendation. On par with Project farm, but, with more Focus... pun intended. ordered with your link, well done.
Another great and informative comparison video! Was waiting for this to come out during my search for a projector, but as you know, I went ahead and took a chance at the Dangbei Atom that I got a good price on. Great video/testing. I am considering buying the Yaber K2S but after this video I am not so sure. At the same time, it seems good (not perfect though) for my living room because of the throw ratio. Does it make sense to buy it just for this? I wanted to avoid lamp based projectors since I am based in the EU.
Good effort, extensive comparison. Based on your comparison i purchased once again, but have had same issue which i experience last year. These projectors are good only in dark, and loose 75% projection even in a small light of 50W bulb or in room in a day time.
To me it's crazy that Amazon companies can straight up lie about specs and get away with it, like projector brightness. This problem is also rampant with battery bank capacities
