I have been undergoing treatment for glaucoma, retina and uveitis at a famous hospital in Chennai for more than 13 yrs. I regularly go for eye checkup as advised by doctors.. I searched in Google and learnt a little bit about glaucoma. But this video of yours is excellent which even an ordinary layman can understand. Thank you doctor.
Excellent Dr. You explain very well. I was diagnosed for narrow angle and had a laser to put a hole on both sides to let the drainage flow. I did quite a bit research and found out that daily walking reduces eye pressure. I was scared to have that surgery initially but later found that it is simply a minor process and took less than a minute to do that and no pain at all.
Thank you very much doctor. I was diagnosed as glaucoma early stage and that I reported at right time and is prescribed TOVAXO eye drops which I am using since eight months. Every four months once going for check up and my pheriperal vision check is being done. I am 82 years old. Hoping for the best.
I recently(July 2023) got the Cataract and Glaucoma Surgery done Sankara Nethralaya. In my case, my mother and sister had already got the surgery done. Though I faced lots of problem in the vision, I visited multiple hospitals and changed spectacles as per the new power. Though I keep using Eye drops I've. Blurred vision in the morning hours. Sir. I have glucoma. Due to doctors irresponsible awareness I have lost many side visions. All eye doctors just checking our eye and saying to take lot if tests. It's no problem. But doctors duty to explain the problem like you and he has to say this test taken for this reason. I am sure no one eye doctors not telling to anything regarding tests for what purpose. They are thinking patients like animals. Just they will say sit here, show your eye, up down, and go another room test another one and like many rooms. Dam sure patients doesn't know anything what they are doing. If they will give Siever instructions for this glucoma to me I wouldn't have lose my side visions. Lot of people affraiding to pay for tests. So doctors responsibility to explain the patients about test for what purpose and why

And nowadays we eye doctors do an ocular coherence tomography or OCT of the retinal nerve fibre layer.
