Always good to see SoP builds! And in more options than ever before! I remember using a tyrant/assassin towards the end of the story before focusing heavily on breaker to quickly climb the chaos levels before I really started trying to branch out for different job builds. Can't wait to put this together
Getting good chaos effects on top of the proper affinities is why I'm hoping we get something for affinity customization in the upcoming DLCs (even only 1 affinity of 2 on artifacts) as a way to help ease the affinity grind at least for gear. Would give us a easier time getting the affinities we need or want as an extra bonus; especially for builds that require multiple affinities at 400 and still get another affinity or 2 to 250
@@craigfunk3453 or being able to change chaos effects. Like if I've dismantled a teir V effect I can change another T5 to that effect but only if I've gotten it at that rank before.
Got this game 2 weeks ago. Beat it and now got to the point where I'm farming level 400 gear. I have no idea what build to work toward. I like the battle mechanics, but as of right now I'm getting basically 1 shot by things in the Bahumet difficulty. Any build recommendations to work toward? So many builds on this channel, and I don't know where a good place to start is.
OK so I have this exact build. And yet, I'm doing nowhere near the damage, that you're doing in the video. What am I doing wrong? I don't just have the same Affinities. I have the same and more. I'm the same Level for the Jobs. I put the same Mastery Points into Assassin. I have the same Special Effects on my gear. My gear is Level 420 I'm testing this on Bahamut Difficulty Level 400. I can do a lot of damage with Falcon Dive, when an enemy is flinched/staggered, or when doing a Critical from behind. But with the Exterminate ability, I'm doing about half the damage max. It's still good, but I just don't understand the gap in damage.
Did this get patched out? I’m using the build and against the black knight it won’t even proc Exterminate. I use it, am left vulnerable, and it does nothing.
I have been playing since day one and a lot of them now can be dropped anywhere on Bahamut difficulty. You can also check the exchange shop for good items as well
Honest question, do I need phantom class? Is that what makes the build op? Or can I just use the assassin class? I haven’t gotten to the dlc yet unfortunately. Still at level 160 in chaos

As a Chaos tip, I recommend not trying to go bit by bit -- clearing a level unlocks all the rewards for prior levels, so I find that the best way to get to endgame content is to just take the plunge and go into a mission like Ebon Memories: The Warrior on lv300. You won't ein, but if you kill even a few basic mooks (and you will even at 160) they'll drop lv300 gear and maybe even artifacts, so you can equip those in subsequent attempts and go in a lot stronger. And once you've gotten your gear you can go straight into high level missions elsewhere (or take, for example, level 300 gear into level 240 missions and breeze through them).
You need to run lightbringer with 400 knight affinity or get the accessory with invincibility. Best way to use this class is farming for gear that has a base affinity of 180% for head, chest, gloves, pants, and feet. For the weapon try to get a base affinity weapon of 245%+. I usually get drops of 260% as base affinity and can boost them to 300% which is incredibly useful. This will help you a great deal in modifying this assassin build to run labyrinth content. For the gear effects, Agility, Near Death Damage Dealt, During Lightbringer Damage Dealt are the main things you’ll want to aim for.

@@fnitschej I don’t even use dragoon because of Lightbringer being active. Also Sam is a waste of time because the buff is gone in about 5-8 seconds and you’ve still got other things to proc so by the time you get done it’s practically gone. I never waste my time on it.

@@fnitschej that’s normal, everything is has a higher resistance and it only gets worse when you hit floor 50. I’ve never messed with the assassin enough to run it through those floors. It’s a good and maybe there’s a way to run it on the higher floors but I don’t have that kind of build. The way I have that load out setup is that it has survivability which you do need but over all damage will always be an issue. Also I ran daggers with it whenever I was playing around with is. Only thing I ever run now are Summoner, Red Mage, Berserker, Dragoon, and a Dark Knight I’m still working on.

Man those are hard affinities to get high with chaos effects you want on the gear. Easily double the damage with +assassinate damage on all pieces.

Breaker build is good and works well even solo for dragon trials
Honestly I was using his build where it heals you when you do damage it was broken since if played right with keeping your buffs up your immortal

Mine is bugged. After a few assassinations, it just doesn’t animate

tbh your best bet is to use the dragon treasure system to find the best affinity gear and transform them into what you want with a ALOT of crests

Without phantom you don't get the free stacks on the first cast so yeah, it's pretty essential

Copied the exact same build but getting roasted at floor 40 in laberynth
