One tip I would give (and I feel stupid for not realizing it till late game) when doing equipment checks, do not pay attention to the equipment stats, instead look at the right side of the screen an check the affect of each piece of equipment on the character's overall stats. And piece of equipment that has higher stats might not necessarily improve the character's overall stats and in a lot of cases might be worse than what you already have equipped. Also, stay away from chest armor that negates the use of head or leg armor.
I’m just starting this now, perhaps the game has been more balanced in the past few months, but I’m starting on Hard and it’s totally fine. I rarely die mid level and some bosses kill me a few times before I get them, but this feels like the right place to start to me. Anything easier would be boring imho.
Played through hard without buddies and unaware of the underleveled penalties xD The only mechanic that i didnt like was getting hit and losing soul burst gauge even without blocking or anything and then falling into the ground.
God i eish this game had a jump idk why it's not necessary singe the flying bats are obtainable from the ground but i keep wanting to jump attack so bad!
@@rpgdivision Oh Nice. Don't actually know anything about the game mind you, just remembered from the trailer the guy won't shut up about killing Chaos xD
I was so hyped for the game, on PC the port is horrible :/ I knew the graphics would be bad but I thought the game would make up for it with decent frames but nah... Slow downs when soul bursting too so I just refunded.
@@rpgdivision Do you play on 60fps? I would have liked to play on 120-144 but could barely get 60 most of the time. Even if I could the recommendation is to lower it to avoid having the issue with slow soul burst executions. Shame, the combat looks so fun. Hope you enjoy yourself anyways :)
Playing this now, started on hard, 3/4 gems gained, never struggled remotely even once. Game is absurdly easy. Its too easy. You just mash X if they enemies don't have super-armor, mash Y if they do, parry anything they do and dodge anything else. You have effectively infinite healing since you can at any time just switch to a class with cure and use that and on any class can spend just 1 mp for life drain which is so effective you can gain half your hp in 1 move. If you think its pooly balanced in a frustrating way (rather than the reverse), you're legitimately just bad at games.
@@rpgdivision Your video shows it plays the same in the only ways that matter: You can spend MP to stunlock every basic enemy in the game you can't stunlock by mashing X. The games combat is so incredibly simplistic and so biased in favor of the player that they could make the enemies kill me in 1 hit and it would still be fairly trivial to beat most of the game. You have infinite 0 cost generous invul dodges. It barely matters what anything does.
@@PopstarDracula As I said, things have changed a lot over time. Release date version was anything but easy due to unbalanced mess that typically Team Ninja games are. You keep patting yourself on the back, mate. See if someone cares.

Followed his career religiously. Still prefer Fedor though heh.
@@rpgdivision Mirko is basically my childhood :P Fedor is great, even though he is Russian. Massive respect for both!

Awesome man, was looking forward to you covering this. Nioh was what made me discover your channel back then.

FPS drops happened rarely for me. Annoying but not that big of a deal in the end.

Did you have it at 120fps? Changing it to 60 fixed it for me guess the game slows down if you go below the frame limit you set
60 yeah
I disagree on the hard thing but otherwise solid stuff bro

Do you understand the concept of updates and patching? At launch game was terribly unbalanced. No clue how it is now
