Almost 800 years if you start from the first unification battle. There's a lot of debate about why. Some say the "barbarians" were much more sophisticated than history gives them credit for. Others say it's because E didn't have his legions of Astartes yet. To add to those I think that he had to be more diligent with terras ancient cities because he might inadvertently destroy an STC or some sort of DAOT relic that could destroy a continent or the planet if disturbed. Terra must have been completely riddled with dark age tech that was dangerous and useful
@@40kNexus There was some form of world government that lasted for a very long time through the dark age and into great crusade, it's not clear what E's relationship with it was. Source-one of the leather bound horus heresy forge world books.
There’s still Hy Brasil, the Ethnarcy and Europa. Plus you could also after this series is done, do a series on notable battles. For instance I believe it was In the city or region of Vhnori, that after unification decided to revolt and Big E sent in the early 8th legion. Plus the battle of Mt. Ararat , the battle of the Red Frost and the Purge of Orioc. Not sure if there is enough information on any of those, but it would be another good series
Old Albia. The use of steam Dreadnoughts and proto power armoured regiments actually holding the Thunder legions and even inflicting several defeats, such as Histin Ridge, before the Emperor himself brought them into the Imperium through diplomacy and got them to immediately commit new forces to His armies and upgrade His existing formations would be an incredible story.
Love the series so far. Theres just a few pointd that my Nerd ocd has to.point out. -the double headed Eagle wasn't used until after the Treaty of Olympus on mars after the unification of terra and luna. The Emperor's armys used the Raptor and Lightening symbol. - there were no "tech priests" on terra, they were martian. But like i said im enjoying the series.
Fantastic work, this. It'd be absolutely AMAZING if you added either commissioned art or partnered up with one of the many Uber talented 40k artists or other 40k art or lore youtubers to do the same!
Thanks for the interesting story. And let us all admire courage of Nartan Dum, who was not afraid to fight against someone so much bigger and stronger than himself.
You're going to need the right some of the smaller Nations yourself because only the big ones have immense compliance I'm surprised that Germania has one
The problem with humanity on Terra were not that they were weak, even among the ruins of their civilization they were so strong and dangerous that even the disunited tribes could deter any alien encroachment. They had the technological means to sustain large populations to be fed into constant wars even with a destroyed biosphere. The problem was they were too empowered by these technological remnants that enabled the various madmen and tyrants to be locked in unending conflict that never burned out. It was a planet too angry to die but too stubborn to advance until the Emperor could unify its strength and turn it outwards.
Jeans that were constantly hopping between conquest I would have expected us from Merrick to go south to Mexican and then go south to Bolivar indigo salvage to the first Caribbean and then die Brazil and then sue Merrick
Coukd you PLEASE do videos on each legion before theor primarchs??? Here are some examples : War hiunds pre world eaters Imlerial heralds pre word bearers Warborn pre ultra marines Dusk raiders pre death gaurd Storm walkers pre iron hands Forgot name of the 1k sons before magnus
Yeah I can totally do that. Which one should I start with? Caveat: it'll be a while. I'm trying to give each techno barb state a proper long video first
This was a good listen, but the word choice could stand to be more varied. Plus, they reiterate a LOT of things about the Thunder Warriors to the extent that it almost felt ai generated.
Never forget that the emperor spent more time unifying Terra than the entire great crusade.
How long did it take him?
Didn’t know that one

I mean conquest is easier when you have a army of trans-humans and dark age technology supplied by the ad mech
Alright boys we've hit Nordafrik, Merica, Jermani, and Pan Pacific. Working on Nordyc (Scandinavia). What do you guys want to see after that?
Old Albia, please. Maybe shedding some light on the fate of the Unspeakable King?

Ok, but why does the Space Marine at 0:25 look like Joe Biden? I mean, good for him surviving to age 30,000.

That's fair thanks brother
@ oh wait did you WRITE this yourself?
Not alone I used AI to help write but I think I have the repetition issue worked out now
Leeeets goooo
Are the dust warriors the death card order iron warriors
Dusk Raiders became death guard.
You do write these though, right? It's not just chatGPT or whatever?
The main events are canon. The details in between are written with the help of AI but not solely AI. How was it?
I kiss the pretty Techno-Barbarians

Thanks brother!
Too many adverts, every few minutes. resisting the urge to click away as it's irritating.
