You are such a beautiful and secure woman and you really demonstrate that we never have to settle or beg a man to be with you. You really understand that the issue is with him and there was nothing you could have ever done to keep him or make him happy. He is truly a mad man for letting you go.
My ex and I broke up a year ago too and I remember watching your divorce video. I can’t believe its been a year. There has been up and downs of being alone but over all I’m happy with myself. I’m growing and becoming and better person.

My husband of 4 years and partner of 9 years out of the blue sat me down 2 months ago and said he wasn’t sure if he loved me anymore and we needed to separate.. I was devastated. 2 days after that I went through his phone and found out he was talking to a woman (of course he was). Our wedding anniversary was 2 days ago and it wasn’t easy but I treated myself to a massage haha. I’m working on moving on, the hardest thing is that I still have to coparent with this person. I don’t know how but I know I will rise again. I wish him happiness. God is with the broken-hearted. I trust this journey.. I want to thank you for sharing your story. You look amazing, I could tell you’re at peace and have joy, I can’t wait until I get there. 😊

Lucy Belcher Hi, I’m in a better place now. I kicked him out of my house that night I went through his phone and of course he tried coming back. Unfortunately for him it was nothing but lust with this other woman and well, he lost his family over nothing... rejection was temporary for me but his regret will last a lifetime. I’m still coping and grieving specially since I coparent with him and he’s a good dad (at least that) and well my heart still loves him, that’s because the heart is selfless, however I’m using my logic and going with my gut, my heart will eventually catch up. I’m still going to my own counseling and working on self love and taking care of my children. Knowing that this happened for a reason and that I’m exactly where I’m suppose to be brings me peace. I’ve grown closer to god and my loved ones. I feel blessed. Thank you for asking 😊

I was ghosted by my boyfriend of 15 years. We weren’t spring chickens, either. He was 69 & I was 57. Just ghosted me. Changed his phone number, deleted his email. I grieved heavily for 2 years. But life now is sooooo much better. I don’t regret those 15 years. He changed me for the better in fundamental ways & I’m eternally grateful for him. It was a very spiritual experience & I’m a better person because of him. I just wish he hadn’t turned out to be such a coward. 🤷♀️

On Feb 13, 2013 I got an email (yes an email) from my husband that works out of country. He said he was moving out when he got stateside. We had been married for 33 years. I few weeks later your first video about your divorce showed up on my TH-cam. I watched it and the other videos you have posted. We a had a 4 years old kid , he never use to go out with out me and our son , everything seemed ok , he meet her through Facebook . Spot on advice about blocking ex’s as long as you don’t have children with them etc, i think we prolong heartache unnecessarily when we look at their social media etc. it’s best to cleanse and move forward as you suggested!

After seeing your mom and listening to her, it's not difficult to see why you're such a ray of light. Dang it! I take some time off of social media and miss this. 😂. I’m trying so hard to get past my husband of 21 years who unexpectedly asked for a divorce 6 months ago. I haven’t seen him since and I have blocked him from my phone and social media because he still thinks I’m going to take care of him. He was a cheating jerk which broke me harder. He also took the business we owned (that I put sooooo much energy to), obviously my job, the house we’ve owned for 16 years, and my only daughter moved 15 hours away for college (my heart breaks just saying that!). I’ve also lost friends I considered to be my best friends as I was too depressed to be around (I don’t blame them). My health is terrible (I have 4 autoimmune diseases which he used that against me) so I’ve lost a lot. I am very close to God and although I have been totally mad at Him, He loves me enough to keep me going. I have tremendous stress (financial), panic, depression, anxiety and it’s a battle however...I know I’ll get past this. I know it won’t be soon, and lots of hard times are in my future but I am now just learning to live for the moment. It’s hard, I’m very weak but one foot in front of the other. I hope everyone going through this can find happiness because it is there. You are loved and you are worth more than you think.

You are going to be okay, you are right hard times are ahead but there’s also more beauty and laughter and love and all the things still meant for you. Learn to love the sound of your own foot steps walking away from the things no longer meant for you. I have family with many autoimmune diseases and I know it’s hard, I know I’m a stranger but know Someone out there cares about you and truly wishes you well. Be bold and let the mighty forces come to your aid. ❤️
I'm not sure how to word this but please understand it's coming from someone who wants to help.
I believe that if you were together for 21 years and you helped in the business he took away, you are entitled to half of the martial assets. I bring this up not as a way to punish him (that's for God, Karma, & The Universe to take care of) but it is now about your survival. You have so much stress with your health concerns that alleviating your financial fears would help you in many ways.
I don't presume to know the situation but I've had friends who were so angry and upset that they didn't address the financial situations in their divorces. They wanted no part of ex.s so just walked away without any financial compensation. That was something that they were entitled to. They were not critically thinking or too prideful and ended up with financial difficulties down the line.
I have come out of a situation where I lost my house, my car, investments and there's nothing left. It feels as if at 57 I am starting from square one.
I truly hope your situation improves and wishing you all the very best.
I agree with fearless kitten. You have rights and you need to stand up for yourself and your well being both financially and emotionally. What you need to do is exactly what Lisa explains in a lot of her update videos. Forgive, accept and take charge of your life. I feel for you, your situation is VERY hard and not fair. I am praying for your strength.
I must say it again: You look so amazig in this new hair! (I know, it was an accident, but a happy one!) You look 15 years younger. I understand the discomfort with dyeing. I also one of the affected. I use henna - my hair is very fine - but I am tired from the 3 hours waiting untill is done - and also the color is far more red, that I want... so I know being gray is much more comfortable. But, You realy look amazing with dark hair!

Lisa, My name is Christy. I was shocked when I saw your video bc I went through the same thing, but my shock was when I found out my ex was having an affair. It turned my whole world upside down. I really admire the way you handled this. I appreciate your inner & outer beauty. I believe when men do this its bc they are wanting to be with someone else, and my husband had no desire to work on things. He was fine with the way things were, and I was left feeling so lonely in my marriage. I decided to make myself happy, & ended up leaving my ex after 23 yrs. It was the hardest thing I've ever done, but the best thing.. I didn't focus on him, and just worked on myself, which is what you did , & that's very healthy. I did a lot of therapy to make sure I could make good choices in the future; read a ton of books,took classes, listened to videos, took responsibility, and made sure my ex-husband & I were friendly so as not to hurt our children. I agree with you that negative thoughts only hurt ourselves, and they hurt any children involved. I had gotten to the point where I felt I was living the wrong life when i was with my ex. Now, I am so happy and grateful for the bumps in my road bc they brought me where I am today. I'm happy for you, too. Thanks for sharing yourself, & I'm glad I came across your videos.

I've seen a few of your videos before the divorce, and I always got the impression that your ex husband was kind of putting on a "good guy" act for the camera. He'd look at the camera and you could tell he wasn't being natural. Anyway, you're too good for someone who couldn't even look you in the eye in court. Plus, you're JLo lol 😊

Hi Lisa, I am 28 years old and my husband and I are going to file for divorce. I am beyond devastated right now and I don’t know how to cope. We just had our baby and I gave birth 2 months ago. He cheated on me multiple times and I’ve never felt such betrayal in my life. I am not a psychologist but it sounds like he has borderline personality disorder or narcissistic personality disorder.. people who suffer from these mental illnesses tend to discard people, and one day just flip up on you for no apparent reason.
They have a “black or white” type of mindset and when their mind is set up on something they tend to not see the other side of the story.
I’m glad you’re out of that relationship.
Btw - I am so inspired by your mature mindset and the way you’ve handled this entire situation. I am only 23 but I’ve been through a very bad breakup with someone who I believe has bpd. I thought he was my soulmate and one day he completely switched on me and left with no explanations. I completely fell apart and lost hope, I’m still heartbroken over it although its already been a year. But seeing how well you’re handling your divorce really gives me hope. You’re very wise, thank you.
He was a narcissist. Thank your lucky stars he’s out of your life. They are evil people.
I totally agree with not letting ruminating thoughts destroy you. It doesn’t solve anything but makes us miserable. I’m going through a separation hopefully divorce with my husband. And I try not to think about the what if’s anymore. I’m done with him and hopefully can move on soon.

Skin tone, exactly! I have nothing against gray hair but I always thought that her skin is so warm and lively that gray hair wasn't the best match. My own gray skin tone would match gray hair much better 😂 Also, Lisa's face and body and skin look like those of a 20-year-old so gray hair on top of it looks like it's, well, fake!
Sari V I agree with you..I always thought sh carries grey well but it 'didn't fit' with her complexion.
I started going grey when I was 26 and started to go with it..however so many people said I looked washed out and my face was too young..so I started using hair dye. Now that I'm older I see a difference in my 'skin tone' and Now dark hair looks fake on me and too harsh. So now I'm using a softer color with lots of highlights that looks more natural..

I’ve watched your divorce videos and appreciate them so much. I’m going through it right now after 23 years of marriage. I’m the one who asked for the divorce for a lot of reasons, but it’s still heartbreaking. I have good days and bad days, but your videos have helped me know there is hope in the future.

love this old video! you’ve prob heard this before but i get the sense that one of the reasons he left was because he felt overshadowed and threatened by the force that you are and wasn’t strong/secure enough in himself to handle it - he felt the need to be with someone who made him feel admired and like “the man” again. same reason gwen stefani’s ex husband left her.
also you always look great of course but i will always be in the camp that thinks that this hair color looks hands down the best on you. it makes you look so fresh! and the cut too - i was surprised this is only two years old because you look a good 10 years younger with this style!

When I got divorce over 10 years ago I started attending Joel Osteen's church and I was there everytime the door was open. It was literally my sanctuary through a very dark time in my life. God used Joel's ministry to get me through my divorce.
I have since attended another church not because I think anything negative of Joel. I will always be grateful to his ministry. Please don't pay attention to all the negative feedbacks about him. You and I are the fruit of his ministry and have come out of the ashes beautifully.

when I got divorced I let that relationship go and moved past it with even my thoughts. I am so thankful to have a loving, safe, strong marriage now with so much teamwork and FUN! I was content during my single life as well. I still loved my first when I divorced him too. It was confusing to end a marriage to someone I still LOVED but I realized just because you love them doesn't mean you are COMPATIBLE.

My ex cheated then tried to contact me once I left the house - I had nothing to do with him - he had second thoughts, I didn't. You look great and look like you are doing just fine without him! Everything happens for a reason. I wonder sometimes if we really ever truly know our partners. I look back and wow - I really didn't know them like I thought I did.
