How to use Ford IDS to read fault codes and how to record live data

Here's a guide on how to collect live data. This is useful if you are working remotely with me to set up a custom remap on the 1.6 TDCI. I can make a custom remap to go with a hybrid turbo or a larger hybrid turbo. You can work remotely with me if you buy the bdm100 and ford IDS.

Gowsiganaudio ford IDS is for diagnostics.... WINOLS is for editing software.

Question why do some pids have number signs next to them??

Where do you see that? Maybe more than one pid for the same thing coming from different modules.

pids with the # signs next to them can be controlled from the pc, an ex would be if the headlights on a car were not working, if you were able to turn them on from the pids but not the cars control you knew there was a problem with the input and help narrow the search for the fault.
