In this video I demonstrate how to enable the special functions using the function codes when using Ford IDS.
This special codes, enables you to do certain programming and coding functions that is not possible otherwise.
Here is an example on a 2009 S-Max:

Does ids show the date that the fault code was detected? Truck is 1 month out of warranty but code was there before warranty ended. Trying to get fixed under warranty.

If the module supports freeze frame, yes... most tools will actually be able to show when the fault was triggered... either date or mileage...

Great videos, I am trying this at the moment and my vehicle is not listed in the box after you type in 60274 to enable engineering mode. I have a Ford Ranger that Im trying to get the 4x4 back into a second hand ecu that has been fitted, any help would be much appreciated

Hi luis. I have a 2014 kuga for tpms disable. I need to update codes etc as you say but what code do I need to use for getting the engineers menu to disable? Thanks. Also big thumbs up for your content. Always very helpful.

You need to make sure that the function is on the register...
Then, input the code in IDS, I showed it at minute 5:40
That will then enable the function...
LM Auto Repairs that is pretty self explanatory then. I will get this kuga done tomorrow. I had forscan on it today and couldn’t get the job done with it! Thanks for your help I’ll let you know how I get on mate
LM Auto Repairs so I have got this to work. The only thing is I get two errors when retrieving the data - “resolve part request sbl failed”. I can still edit the files to tpms off but it won’t write back to the vehicle. ‘Corrupt’ error When trying to write bsck

Thank you for the video. I tried the same on my IDS 112 version and not work. When I enter 60275 code on Update \ Special Function nothing happens, the window for vehicle selection doen't show. Any idea what can I do? I like all your videos, I see everything.

I can retrieve the configuration data but when I go to view the configuration data it says no data available even though the modules all checked green and successfully read. Your ids set in dealer mode? I'm in the usa working on my 08 f150 all I want to do is stop my pcm from controlling my alternator charging voltage. I can disable that through the wiring but it gives me a battery light and a dtc.

No it cannot be changed,and what he is showing now is the patch-availability from SCN's and operations in relatively functions on sub-systems. You cannot overide or change anything and even if you have the "patch" NONE of this is available in OFF-LINE apart some basic functions. e.g Aircon present-not present some light functions and Body module read -right in terms of configuring(only new units) Nothing with change vin numbers or virginize ecu's

Is this an american software? as all i've seen just have american fords and no australian models and the software costs a fortune :( .. i'm looking for software that can test everything from spark plugs to radio and activate alarm systems and navigators.
Are you looking just for Ford, or something more general for other brands as well?

Just for ford, IDS is good...
But for for general you need something different...
It is all about how much you are willing to spend...

Hola amigo, a ver si me puedes echar un cable o al menos orientarme. Tengo un Focus ST mk2 2006 motor 2.5 turbo volvo que tiene la preinstalación del Control de Crucero (CC) pero la PCM no tiene la/s línea/s de programación para hacerlo funcionar, a pesar de que se activa el módulo GEN y el módulo HEC, e incluso reconoce los botones de los mandos del CC (aftermarket y son de Ford) pero no hace nada en el coche. Añadir que en cualquier focus mk2 menos en este se consigue activar el CC activando los 3 módulos (hay un check que activas usando el programa ELMCONFIG en los 3 módulos) pero en mi coche, a pesar de activar esos 3 checks en los 3 módulos y aun reconociendo los botones (mediante el test del pulsadores del coche), no funciona.
aquí el video de cómo lo activan, pero que no funciona en el en el focus mk2 ST.

Y bien, la pregunta parece obvia, ¿existe la posibilidad de que un programador experto, pueda añadir la línea o líneas de programación del CC en el PCM, modificando el fichero BIN del coche?. Hay una posibilidad de facilitar este trabajo de identificación y es que el Ford Kuga mk1 2.5 turbo (el mismo motor que mi focus) sí traía o se podía escoger la opción del CC. ¿se pueden comparar ambos ficheros BIN de ambos coches y detectar que línea o líneas están relacionadas con el CC y añadirlas al fichero del focus?
¿lo que propongo es una locura, es viable, difícil, fácil? Gracias.
