Having played and loving "cs_drugbust", it has a major flaw. Since nobody hosts any online servers of it, the only real way you can play the map is offline. But for whatever reason bots happen to be able to see through the wooden fence surrounding the house and will not hesitate to wallbang the fuck out of you through it.

I miss the variety and chaos of old school counter strike. Designing games for esports really just leads to taking a belt sander to the whole experience and smoothing out all the rough edges until all thats left is a smooth, featureless blob with no interesting or unique characteristics. Well done, friend. I hope you do a video on "fy_iceworld" and its many variations (fy_iceworld2k, fy_snow - the best of the bunch, imho). I'm not entirely sure how popular Iceworld was in CSS, but on CS 1.6 it was one of the early SUPER popular "fun maps". I'd give 2nd place to fy_pool_day. A few others worth mentioning: de_rats (I've barely played this one myself, but it was insanely popular with many people), cs scoutzknivez, aim_ak-colt, aim_map_usp. I'll stop here. CSS Crackhouse holds most of my memories of CS gaming in highschool circa 2005-2009. I remember loving crackhouse. The weird thing is I just recently redownloaded CSS and the first thing I did was find a crackhouse lobby and play DM. I lost 2 hrs quickly. 2 days later this video popped up in my feed. Thank you ❤️

so many memories came flooding back watching this. Valve fucked CS by pointing people more towards official servers. Community servers were so damn good.

I'm new school, started playing csgo in 2013-ish. This video is very interesting, and that intro is one of the best intros I've ever seen for a youtube channel. Ez sub.

Wow I feel like I know a lot about CSGO and a lot about Counter Strike in general because I’ve watched so many videos about it and the history of maps and stuff. I’ve played a good 50 hours or so of CS source in the last few years but I’ve never heard of this map I’m questioning my knowledge of everything now

this video was really good beside the rant about how the war on drugs actually caused the militarzation of the police and the increase of no-knock raids on alleged drug houses! Otherwise, great video!

Are community driven server/content dead in current counter strike?
This is somewhat related to the video subject.
I have owned dedicated servers and made varios maps for csgo and css a few years back for me this was the main reasonfor playing the game, just for fun gameplay, but i feel that the competitive scene has grown so much that this type of content is lost to the time, I live in brazil and the CS series is praised here, there are more csgo players than ever, but if i list just brazilian dedicated servers there like just 50 server and 90% of them are just retake, competitive, and DM servers in the vanila maps.
I fell that most players are not interesting in gamemode like surf, bhop, zombie, DR, minegame, etc. they just want to be like the pros and train for the competitive gamemode. That have killed the game for me. Is that true or a i'm being just nostalgic?
