Before the BABYMETAL name were invented they were called the Heavy Music Club in Sakura Gakuin. Which is a pun on Light Music Club, that's what they call it when schoolfriends in the afternoon come together to listen to music and play karaoke. The girls knew nothing about heavy metal, so they thought it was just doing light music club stuff, but heavier, more serious. They did that sometimes, even years later they claimed they would come to play karaoke once in a while, and Su was killing it. They even recorded their first song to a midi track, Koba claiming that the final instrumental track was not ready yet. Then just a day or two before their first public performance they heard the final song and they were very much surprised because of the HEAVY sound. But they went on with it. So the girls playing karaoke and a silly metalcore band breaking the wall and then they playing along with it unlike the corporation heads in their stupid meeting bring up A LOT OF REFERENCES. Among them, that when BABYMETAL came up as an idea the suits refused to finance them, they started with zero budget.
I was super nervous waiting on this to drop. I have never listened to Electric Callboy so, I didn't know what to expect. They killed again, though! Love it! It is great seeing the girls be silly.
Yeah I was nervous if I was going to like it as well. Some people have told me they are not the biggest fan of Electric Callboy, But I always give songs a chance even. I would say I love it
First time hearing this, I had so many 90's club flashbacks.... A Night at the Roxbury anyone?....Whoever gave Moa those glasses, deserves a raise.... Disco/Club metal with Babymetal and Electric Callboy wasn't something I thought I needed, but I do. 😂😂😂😂😂😂🤘🦊🤘
@@Hokkyo11 I'm just hoping they come up with a BTS video, like they did with Leave it All Behind with F.Hero, Bodyslam....I want to see what the girls were like when making this vid.
👍👍An awesome performance. I have a feeling that a BABYMETAL huge stage performance will feature Queen SU-METAL, MOAMETAL and MOMOMETAL. But when they collaborate with another artist that Suzuka, Moa and Momoko will be unleashed. 🦊 🦊 🦊 🖖❤
I have a feeling that “everybody.. out of control” will be playing in sports venues and commercials before we know it. Then we’ll all feel a little dirty for hoping it went main stream and wish it could just be our secret 🤷♂️
EC's genre is electronicore (metalcore with electronic music), incidentally also hated by metal gatekeepers lol. Their supporters called it 'partycore', initially more decadently (anthems for party 'n puke together) before they changed singers (that's clean vocalist Nico with the sweet falsetto harmonizing/interchanging with Su), became politically correct (dumping their old band name), playing up the pure fun image (including satirical/parody MVs) & went viral internationally. The genre has been around since the 2000s, the British vein started by Enter Shikari, while the American vein produced several subgenres, of which Koba & Yuyoyuppe are big fans of Attack Attack! (whose vocalist Johnny Franck aka Bilmuri is part of BM's music festival FOX_FEST this weekend). BMTH had also experimented with it for their Sempiternal album (2013). The Japanese call it pikorimo ピコリーモ or electrimo エレクトリーモ. Long ago, Koba had mentioned using it in BM's early songs (eg. line!) while Yuyoyuppe, who once sang for the pikorimo band My Eggplant Died Yesterday, composed or arranged entire songs with it (Megitsune, Uki Uki Midnight, Yava). BM's first studio collaborator, Kiba of Akiba, was also described as partly pikorimo at that time. Many have commented how BM has visibly loosened up post-hiatus with these collaboration projects. It's a return to their Sakura Gakuin days when they didn't mind showcasing their goofy sides.
Between XG Woke up and this song......my drives to work have become more dangerous. lol! Great reaction.....such a fun and funny song. EDM Metal needs to be a thing!
Nice man, you resisted the temptation to react the official audio and wait for the official MV which is straight 🔥 Some reactors and fans couldn't wait for the official MV release, but you did a great job 🦊🤘🐭lol Most likely they will be playing this together at FOX_FEST Festival next weekend May 25 and 26 in Japan along with many more artists and bands such Polyphia so can't wait for the live version. The "hips don't lie" is definitely a Shakira reference. The "Fu Fu" (or more like "wu-uh wu-uh") part sounds like Backstreet Boys - Everybody female backing chorus and also I think I heard in a K-pop song, not sure which one. The "push it to the limit" line it could be an homage to Scarface's movie, another post disco, dance rock song with guitar elements. Btw I thought the second "Are you ready?" chorus was MomoMetal doing the backing growling but they didn't show that, we'll see in the live version. Love the euro trance elements mixed with metal, they also did it with Time Wave, one of my favorite BM song from latest album The Other One. There's probably more references but I'm so far away from pop culture that i probably missing a lot more. Cool to see you around and see you next time. Kitsune up!🦊🤘🔥

EC always does super silly music videos and never takes themselves too serious. It is so fun to watch that vibe spreading over to Babymetal and them being silly for once. We usually don’t see that in their music videos, but saw it during their recent tour at every show. ❤ Su’s and Nicos vocal fit really well together, but I wish in the last chorus Su was more prominent. Still, fun song and yes, defo kawaii overload ❤🤘🦊🔥
