Excellent video, review, travelogue and whatever else it was, I really enjoyed watching the whole thing, thank you. I'm so glad the journey, two flights each way, expense and everything else (even coping with the pain of your gout, ouch!) were so worth doing and it does sound like you all had a great time - not least your daughter. Great costume by the way, compliments to the designer and seamstress.👏🦊 It is stories like yours that are keeping me going while I wait for the end of May next year to come round when I'll get to see BABYMETAL again, but this time at the O2 in London (not quite as much of a journey for me as getting to Cincinnati was for you).🦊
@@Grington300 I will be sure to tell Tiffany your kind words regarding her costuming for Scarlet! It was a marvelous trip and one that I will keep in my heart for strength going forward. Also, I must say that the length of the journey only supplemented how special it was altogether. My toe is beginning its healing process. I wish I could go to that London show. I hope to hear about Poppy.
What an awesome show it was! The community at that show was something I hadn't experienced at any other concerts. Even though I had gone alone, as soon I was in line everyone was chatting and having a good time. Glad you guys had a great time!
This is actually one of my favorite vlog’s. I have so much to say about Babymetal from young to old, but bringing your daughter into the experience was priceless. Fans say they are for 8 to 80 year olds and they are correct! Sadly I,’m closer to the 80’s, but these ladies always put a smile on my face. Please forget about the politics. I wish you the happiest of holidays. ❤️🦊
Your comment is so sweet, and I was so happy at the show just taking note of the diverse collection of fans there. I have been going to these kinds of shows for decades (46 years old now), and and the fans of different stripes is such a sweet thing. Thank you so much for making my day! Regarding the politics, it is hard to forget when the lives of me, my family members, and so many close to me are in danger now. I'm not sure where to go about that from this point, because I have no wish to be just one more voice for vitriol on the internet. I just want to be kind, but I am scared!
You are very kind and music is an venue to bring everyone closer. That sentiment is only multiplied when it covers Babymetal. This was seriously an enjoyable vlog and I wish you nothing but the brightest future. Your daughter actually reminded me of their Sakura Gakuin days. I’m thankful for the reminder. I enjoyed it.
What an awesome father. I enjoyed your presentation and I being in my 60’s would probably choose the balcony for my next BabyMetal concert. Monochrome is one of my favorite songs as well, and was fortunate enough to have that played at the Seattle concert last year.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience! Sounds like you all had a great time...especially your daughter! Hang in there and you have much to offer, you are also a very good speaker...I think that is a good place to start. Kitsune up, my friend!
Thanks for this video, glad it went well. Glad you had your family day with Babymetal and were able to connect with other fans. Those 2 things are part of what makes Babymetal special in my eyes. I think an other proof how Babymetal fans are happier on average. 14:32 they also place markings, at first I thought that is what you meant ? This is how they position themselves on the stage, they use it as a reference (if they need it, or just at the start of the song). If you read 1 of the interviews with Kobametal he said a lot of the people he worked with in 2020 had to quit the live industry because most people in that industry are self-employed and obviously without any gigs... no gig economy. An prices of capable people and equipment, etc. went through the roof (just check out Tank the Tech talking about touring busses to get some idea). I do honestly think the sound person/people Babymetal now have are have a harder time adapting to the different venues, maybe it's because they play at bigger venues, or they are less experienced, I don't know. But like the Kami band from the West, they made a lot of progress and are now at a very close level to the previous people. The worst mixes I've heard are from the European festivals, no idea why that is. Babymetal has performed at festivals before and they have less of a language barrier now then in the past. In South America they did have 2 shows where they performed both Monochrome and Karate. All I can say from Europe, about the fear: we suffer more often in imagination than in reality - better to fight for the good things and deal with the other things only after they actually happen so you aren't fearful or angry or sad because of things that could happen.
Thank you so much for the information about the gig economy of music venue crew members. I do need to watch more of Tank the Tech's videos. Regarding the fear, I agree that our imagination is a huge part of the issue, but unfortunately in the USA we are already seeing people dying and suffering from christian nationalist policies and ant-abortion laws going into effect. It's hard to balance the real vs. the imagined when the real is very much happening and could get much worse.
Thanks for sharing this with us! That seemed like a hell of a heavy trip.... pun intended, sorry. 🤭 I've done crazy things myself to see them live during the last 1.5 years. Hello sir. New to the channel. It was revealed to me by the algorithm gods (BABYMETAL), but I decided to visit because of your channel name. I am a fellow atheist and I am always happy to see content from those who are open about their atheism. I will keep hanging around since I love your vibe, and I love how you aren’t necessarily focused on the atheism. However, I’m certainly cool with when you would be focused on that. You’re helping to inform folks that we even exist and then you are helping to humanize a group of folks often ignored or even vilified. You seem to also be focused on mental and emotional health which is generally just great, and I fully empathize with you regarding the recent turn of events for the U.S. and concerns around how to navigate these next four years. I have had to also fully disconnect for a while to protect my own emotional health and I also tend to retreat to things (music, MST3K, Star Trek, movies, TV, etc.) that help bring me to a happy place. I am not sure what you had in mind regarding the types of content you would produce here, but my humble suggestion would be, at times, to include your assessment, review, thoughts on various content that actually includes direct references to atheism or just popular/common atheistic views/opinions and such. You would still be sharing your own views on things while also helping to lift up content that folks may not be aware of or might ignore otherwise. Of course, you could also do this with any other content you just find interesting that isn’t related to atheism. Aside from all of that, I am genuinely interested in knowing if you have listened to the collab between Bloodywood and BABYMETAL yet? That might be a fun video for you to make. Happy you are here. Take care. ✌🏼🖖🏼🤘🏼 (peace, live long & prosper, rock on)
I've been trying to respond to this appropriately for the three days since you left the comment. I'm sorry it has taken me so long. Your comment has pulled me up out of that hole enough to start considering another. It really means so much, friend. Thank you, sincerely. And as all who live in this house would attest, I have listened to BEKAUF on repeat since it came out!

I just came back from Albuquerque from my 28th Babymetal show. My first was November 2014. Me and 2 friends drove 24 hours straight from Texas to New York for a life changing experience. I've followed the band from city to city with a group of friends. I've even gone to Japan 4 times with the same Babymetal friends i met back in 2014. I've made lifelong friends because of Babymetal. Not gonna say much about Scene Queen. My momma said, if you can't say nothing nice, don't say anything at all. So..... An hour is short but very fulfilling. ... Who am i kidding? THAT'S WHY WE GO TO MULTIPLE SHOWS! HELL, WE FOLLOW THEM FROM CITY TO CITY! THROUGH PAIN AND DISCOMFORT WE ENDURE ! Did you're a great dad I'll tell you that I wish I could be a dad like you and it's all about enjoying it with your little girl
Its a shame that Scene Queen felt it necessary to use such bad language when talking to the crowd.
Hey brother. Great video. You seem like a good man and father. Love light and Jesus be with you. You said you filled your void with music which i did for many years too. Hope you find your way to Jesus my friend. Sweet little daughter you got. Love babymetal. Much love from Canada
