Mike's banjo mute demo

Me demonstrating a Mike's banjo mute on my new Gold Tone CC50OT open back banjo.

I've found the best mute is a towel packed into the whole of the space at the back.however it can't be done with a resonator on.Only an open backed banjo

Great demonstration. Mike's definitely seems better than the other mutes I've looked at.

thanks for posting this. I've been going back and forth between mutes and I do like this one. Perhaps this will end the neighbor's screaming "learn a new song!!!". Thanks!

2:45 -- A wild ass guess, that's better than -6 dB therefore is divided by four, so yeah, 75% quieter at least. Very cool bit of gear.

Thanks Mike, it's not quite as good as someone demonstrating the mute who has all the skills to do it properly, but it gets the message over in a newbie kind of way.
