    Being smart also means that women can see through men’s insecurities and if they’re the kind of people who are weak but pretend to be strong and dominating especially when they’re threatened by the female’s strength and intelligence. For example, if they said something wrong and were corrected they don’t handle it well. Or they try to puff themselves up when their insecurities get triggered so they start to be rude. It’s easy for a smart woman to see through all of their BS and pull away from them. I’m in my late 20’s and I had to endure a lot of issues and being observant I started to see through their facade and lose interest. It’s hard to think of partnership after everything. I am happy where I am at the current time.

      This is just as true from a man's perspective. Most women to me just aren't that bright. You poke and prod at their axioms once you get to know them and most of them handle it like shit. And I mean really, why were you associating your self with these idiot men anyway. Real intelligence can spot that bullshit away without even having to introduce your self. Give me a break.

    In Graduate School, I had to take a bunch of exams and my abstract intelligence test result was 99%, while my WG Critical Thinking test result was 97% - I took both tests without sleep the night before or breakfast that morning, so I was stunned by the results. I was also told that I scored the highest in my class. My IQ score came back at 151, with a few bands coming in at 160+. Many years later, I was made to take a test of spatial Intelligence and logic, and the psychologist told me that I beat a group of 13 engineers, and so they asked me if I would accept an interview with a panel of 13 engineers and I said yes. So following the logic of Dr. Peterson, I should have had a very hard time finding a mate. I'm in my 40s, and no man has ever asked me out on a date. So I stand in as a positive example of his thesis. Often times, I just smile and nod at men who approach me, and I know they're either lying or exaggerating things, but I pretend to believe them. Or they find out that I am completely sexually abstinent, and they decide I'm not worth dating after all, so they end the conversation. One time, a four-time divorced man told me that I was in a category called "extremely difficult" because he said I was intelligent, beautiful and virtuous, but he made a pitch for himself anyway. But why would I even tolerate a man who had been divorced 4 times? He is the common denominator in all those failed relationships.

    I think being smart can actually limit the opportunity for reproduction because you're simultaneously less agreeable yourself and more selective of others. On the flip side, the ability to find a high value mate becomes of higher likelihood.

    • @lslithas24

      @brahemedays2914 3 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      @@lslithas24 Yes, but I was referring to reproduction. Women decide who gets born and men are the "stock" from which they choose. I'm saying that being a smart man can result in less likelihood of your reproducing. Being a smart woman has little hindrance for a reproduction as regardless of how high/low she thinks of a potential mate, when she decides to get pregnant, there will be a line out the door. Whereas smart men must intelligently parse out which women are worth taking on the burden of responsibility for. Basically, men have to take advantage of a timely advantageous opportunity whereas women's opportunity for reproduction is constant.

    • @lslithas24
      @lslithas24 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@brahemedays2914 I see your argument but educated women are more likely to use contraceptives and get abortions. Especially women with multiple degrees(i.e. masters + PHD). Plus, they become far more selective because of hypergamy. Educated men aren't as selective - they are not hypergamous - thus, they marry down socio-economically. Thus, they have more options. Moreover, women have less time to choose a mate because of their biological clock. Men don't have the same time contraint.

    Some women who are reasonable and intelligent just want to find a partner who has a similar outlook in terms of quality of life, understands that relationships require maintenance which means willingness to continually communicate, re-evualate values when needed and confront issues together. I know many women who understand how easier life is to rely on someone else -- so they start thinking how to find a partner and live with their assistance. Whereas women who are willing to experience life more and see the capacity in themselves to do those , don’t focus on finding men instead focus on experiencing their life and exploring new things like new places new works new strangers etc. So actually women who focus on finding partner are politically intelligent! A beautiful theory that needs to be knowledged , being 30 years of age , very successful , multilingual working in a patriarchal environment and single , I just can't bury the idea of dating a guy who is less smarter than me ( and it has nothing to do with him having money or us being superficial , as a matter of fact I personally follow minimalism into my lifestyle .furthermore , in all fairness this theory approves the consciousness awareness of a women with a high IQ/EI ) and as the professor mentioned , we women operate differently than a man do toward relationships , a women as discussed look into things through the society ladder in a hierarchy level ..and I guess the only point that wasn't clarified . .it's not about what he posses .. its all about what he presents through 🥰
    his intellectual mind ...
    It becomes a key component to maintain a healthy relationship and unfortunately that's what he was trying to explain ..this eliminates 95%of not finding the ideal partner ..
    Note: proposed from many rich men ( usually inherited ) ..trust me .. having money doesn't mean a person is smart or usefully successful .
    Therefore , whoever asked about a smart women would seek stability and security through a relationship ..actually a smart women would usually be secured and she doesn't need that part to be covered .
    From my experience , You cant imagine how many times I tried to date a less smarter guy ( IQorEI) ( turns into a student /teacher dynamic ).. but it would always lead to failure ..intimidation and status is the number one fear that would make them not to pursue things further ( facts stated by them) .

      What the hell would they talk about or learn about together or explore the gd world about then.. together? You don’t need random mental health journal references to understand that connecting with another human is multifaceted. It’s about the operation of similar mindsets. You asking this is why most couples sit on their phones while out at dinner, saying nothing- yet eavesdropping on the lively, conversational group next to them. Smart people can’t carry on a rapport with those who have nothing to say back. It’s just compatibility. They’re single more because they’re also more engaged mentally and passionately with their interests, studies, businesses, and utilization of their brains - instead of submitting to average to win a mate. Smart women do not have to default to settle. Because they’re not worried about their purpose existing within or joined with another.

    • @melinaathena
      @melinaathena ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It has to due with being vulnerable. Women are more vulnerable than men are not just physically but mentally as well. Let me explain women don’t know how to disconnect their emotions from one thing to the next.
      Men have the ability to mentally go into the nothing box and not be bothered women don’t have that ability; our minds are going constantly and this can prevent us sometimes from seeing things objectively. Plus, if we are exposed to negative emotions it takes us a long time to get over it and this can impact our decision making; whereas men can just disconnect from it more easily than women can and a few studies have shown this. So if you were to place a man in difficult and vulnerable positions, it would not impact him as much compared to a woman as she would take the vulnerability to heart and it would impact her in all aspects of her life and it would take a hit to her self esteem and her morality. Men tend to just categorize their emotions so it does not impact everyday aspects of their life. That is to say it does impact them but they have better methods to being able to due with it better because of how their mind is wired. So many studies have shown that women use a huge amount of their brains to solve a problem and men only use a very small amount and it does not connect to the emotional parts of the brain as much as a woman does.

      “7 Differences Between Male and Female Brains
      September 22, 2021
      Male and Female Brains
      When actor Daniel Sharman (Teen Wolf, The Originals, Medici: The Magnificent) and music producer Christian “Leggy” Langdon visited Dr. Daniel Amen as part of the Scan My Brain series, they had a lot of questions. They wanted to find out what brain scans could reveal about Sharman’s feelings of depression and Langdon’s anxiety. The co-hosts of The 2 Lads Podcast, which explores what it means today to be men, had one other burning question for Dr. Amen: “Do you see a difference between the female brain and the male brain.”
      The short answer is YES.
      In one of the largest functional brain imaging studies ever, Amen Clinics compared the brain SPECT scans of 46,034 female and male brains. SPECT is a brain imaging technology that looks at blood flow and activity patterns. This study, which appeared in the Journal of Alzheimer’s Disease, revealed fascinating differences between the female and male brains.
      In one of the largest functional brain imaging studies ever, Amen Clinics compared the brain SPECT scans of 46,034 female and male brains, and it revealed fascinating differences between the sexes. Click To Tweet
      Here are 7 of the most important gender-based brain differences you need to know.
      A word of caution: Overall, there are significant brain differences between the sexes that can be measured in a laboratory, seen on a brain scan, and observed in our everyday lives. However, not all women are the same, nor are all men the same. And there is still much research to be done to gain a better understanding of the brains of nonbinary and transgender individuals. What is clear is that even when we succeed at the same task, we may call on different strengths and areas of the brain to do it.
      7 UNIQUE TRAITS OF FEMALE AND MALE BRAINS
      1. Female brains are busier.
      For the 2017 brain imaging study at Amen Clinics, the team analyzed 80 areas of the brain. In 70 of those regions, female brains showed significantly more activity than male brains. Overall, women have much busier brains compared with men. In problem-solving, women tend to harness several areas of the brain while men rely on a more localized effort.
      2. The prefrontal cortex is “sleepier” in men.
      According to the study findings, men tend to have less activity in the PFC compared with women. The PFC is involved with planning, judgment, empathy, and impulse control. This can make men more likely to take risks, which can then make them more vulnerable to head injuries that can further decrease activity in this brain area. Hearing about the differences in the PFC activity prompted record producer Langdon to say, “We’re kind of almost fighting different battles as men and women in the world. We’ve got a different set of cards that we’re starting from.”
      3. The brain’s emotional centers are more active in women.
      In the Amen Clinics study, female brains showed higher activity levels in the limbic system or emotional system. Situated beneath the cortex, this part of the brain colors our emotions and is involved with bonding, nesting, and emotions. This may explain why women are the primary caretakers of children and the elderly. Upon learning about the limbic brain differences in the Scan My Brain episode, Langdon says, “So it’s almost like as men, we have to work a bit harder to get access to some of those things that come a bit more naturally to women and probably vice versa.” Higher activity here is also associated with an increased risk of depression and anxiety.
      4. The anterior cingulate gyrus works harder in women.
      Within the brain’s frontal lobes is an area called the ACG. Known as the brain’s gear shifter, it helps you shift attention and recognize errors. Higher activity in the ACG increases the tendency to get stuck on negative thoughts or negative behaviors and to see what is wrong rather than what is right. It is also one of the brain’s worry centers. More activity here translates into more worries. Of course, this doesn’t mean that men don’t worry or see problems. But men and women tend to worry differently.
      5. Visual and coordination centers work harder in men.
      These areas of the brain are more active in men and may explain why men tend to be more adept at judging distances and making a beeline to where they parked the car.
      6. Women’s intuition is real.
      Other brain imaging research reveals that females have larger areas in the brain dedicated to tracking gut feelings, specifically areas deep in the frontal lobes called the insula and ACG. The female brain is generally quicker at assessing the thoughts of others based on limited information, gut feelings, and hunches.
      7. Serotonin systems work differently in men and women.
      Production of the neurotransmitter serotonin is 52% higher in men than in women, according to a foundational brain imaging study in PNAS. A calming neurotransmitter, serotonin plays a role in mood, sleep, pain, and other issues. At Amen Clinics, low serotonin levels are often seen in people with depression, anxiety, pain syndromes, and obsessive worrying.”
