I can’t find the exact tom I found on eBay anywhere else, but it claims to be from 1970 though it’s missing the badge; it’s black and originally I was just looking for a 14” tom to complete a rock/jazz setup though I find this Slingerland to be a plus since there’s only one head which can be tuned tightly for a similar sound as two but not too mid-scooped.

If you took the wraps off you would find some very nice mahogany shells. I did a set of these with 10 and 12 in. toms over a 20' virgin bass. Held them on symbol stands with slip off mij tom holders so they nested low over the base. They sound awesome.

Probably one of the best looking vintage chrome kits I've ever seen! Is this the original wrap? Or did you or someone else recently re-wrap them? No way could they be original from the 70's and looking that good...
I'm actually about to star rehabbing a set (just toms, but full range) and thought I would see if any video was posted here.

That is one hell of a bad sounding kit.

I didn’t love how the Toms are tuned and it’s also just a cell phone mic in not the best sounding room…someone could definitely get these sounding right though

Back in the 90s I had a friend who had a slingerland cut away kit. The toms were 6,8,10,13,14,16,18, and 20" he was missing the 12". His bass drums were 22"&24". It "was" a very beautiful and expensive kit because it was copper covered. He was a meth addict and one day he just had to have some dope so he stripped all the copper off and sold it as scrap and went and bought meth with the money. He then painted the kit white. Like I said that was back in the early 90s and I'm still pissed off about it.
