How old is the boat and how thick was the the base plate originally? When we sold our last boat it was 22 years old, never had the base plate blacked just checked every couple of years when out for blacking. It had no pits or loss of thickness and had spent it's entire life on the move. I think sitting around on shore power eats away these boats. PS, I enjoy the videos, keep up the good work.

Next time measure the thickest flat area around it, then use a depth gauge to measure the pit. Some tyre gauges are good for this if they have wide enough arms.
yes i used to use a little tyre gauge. when it's that thin it doesn't matter. boat got launched anyway against my advice and started sinking a week later 🙄
Hi Borre. i think in this instance it may have helped if it was always blacked underside properly.Its different from the last hole video. that was wear from the bottom of canal.

@@NarrowboatWill i have only had success using the wifes phone so you get the upright view. you can also edit shorts from your vids on a phone via the app. if it hasnt got the little s next to it in thubnail its not a treue short.you would smash shorts mate

I think that more Anodes need to be fitted prior to launch day. As they're metal savers. And a Galvanic isolator.
