    This is a super video about care and cleaning of the Breville Smart Oven. I *really* appreciate all the effort you put into making this video.
    I recently (just a couple of days ago) bought a Breville Smart Oven Air Fryer and I have to say it just has the solid look and feel of a quality product. Ever since my wife passed away I live alone and do all the cooking for myself. I like to cook and I'm sure I'll enjoy using the Breville. I guess the trick will be to clean every day, i.e. don't let the grease build up to a serious problem.
    Thanks again for your excellent video.

      That’s the key …don’t let the grease build up… I use mine everyday and it still looks brand new after all these years of use.
      I am sure you are enjoying it… Thank you for watching and leaving a sweet comment…Have a great Easter 🐣🌷

    Love this deep clean video. I have stripped down cast iron skillet seasoning using easy off. A tip I got from someone else when using easy off is to place parts (shelf's etc) in a plastic trash bag then spray part's inside the trash bag.
    Also give parts a final rinse in vinegar water solution as easy off contains lye which can be toxic. Vinegar removes the lye.
    I do it more for peace of mind. Just a tip and thanks for posting your video.

    Excellent. Thank you!! I did not want to damage my Breville air fryer, especially because it's not cheap and it so good looking!! I was worried about using the Easy-Off on the inside walls, but this confirmed how to do it right. Best video!!!

    I have a similar Breville air fryer as you, but when I used Easy Off it removed much of the protective coating over the metal, including the black paint on the inside walls of the toaster. It's like spraying paint remover or something. Would definitely not recommend that without testing on a small area first.

      You're exactly right. You aren't suppose to use oven clean to clean toaster ovens. A simple Google search will tell you it's a major no no.

    I love my Breville Oven I use it all the time . Had It a good year and it looks brand new and it still shines even the grates there not dull because I ALWAYS clean it after dinner while it’s still warm not hot and I never use scrubbing pads or any harsh chemicals on it! I have used a magic eraser though. While it’s warm, it’s very easy to keep clean.

    • @savorthemoment4440

      I totally agree…that’s the key, if you clean it every night, you can keep it clean with no need to scrub or deep clean 🧼 It is by far my favorite appliance…you can also watch my other video in how to keep your air fryer clean

      I agree with you. I messed up my breville oven because I cleaned it with a multipurpose cleaner and had a strong smell. Not sure what happened but after that every time I used it, a chemical-burnt smell comes out. Instructions clearly said, no abrasives and use mild cleaner :( because it can leave residue and that is a big nono. Baking soda leaves residue and I think it is not good advice in general for ovens.

    I received a 2nd hand Breville like yours this morning & VERY obviously the previous owner didn't follow the cleaning advice 😢 I've done my best with soap, hot water & a green scrubber. It's not perfect but I'm praying that if I keep going it'll gradually improve 😊 Btw my first use for Shortbread worked wonderfully so I'm thrilled to have it & planning tomorrow's recipe!

    Following a suggestion I read to clean my Breville oven, I soaked the racks in a shallow plastic bin in hot water and Simple Green. I left it overnight and all the baked on grease came off using plastic scrubby pads just like magic so they look new. The air fryer basket I’m still working on. I will follow this lady’s suggestions. Baking soda, vinegar, and lemon juice cleaned the glass in the door like new.

    I neglected daily cleaning, and when I followed your suggestions for a deep cleaning, I couldn't get all of the buildup off the bars on top and bottom with the soap pads and Barkeepers Friend. I got most of it off, but not all of it. Do you have any suggestions?
    Also, when you wipe the inside of the oven with some Easy Off, how long do you leave it on because it didn't remove all of the buildup? Thank you.

      I purchased the bamboo cutting board from Bed Bath and Beyond, it's also available at Best Buy. It is specifically made to rest on top of the Breville toaster oven/air fryer. It also protects your cabinets from heat dissipating from the top of the oven.

      Thank you so much 😊 I purchased it from Williams Sonoma, it is very useful, the smart oven gets really hot and this helps a lot. It gives you extra space to put things on the top of it and you can put hot pans after cooking on it to cool. It is safe and a must have if you have the Breville Smart oven 🌹

    Any tips on how to clean grease from the heating elements?

    • @savorthemoment4440
      @savorthemoment4440  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Just put a little bit of the dawn power wash dish spray on a soft cloth or bounty paper towel with little water and give them a gentle wipe or tiny scrub. You could also use any degreaser solution, same method don’t spray it straight on the heating elements but instead put it on a soft cloth first And of course make sure to clean it really well afterwards with water. I am always very careful when wiping the heating elements since I don’t want to cause any problem from cleaning them🌟 I hope this helps 🌟Thank you for watching Ian Jones 💕🌸

    How do you clean the ceiling and heating element

    • @savorthemoment4440

      I clean it with the same method as the bottom one…it is a nightmare though to clean the top part.

    How do you protect the print (temp print etc) outside the air fryer?

    • @savorthemoment4440
      @savorthemoment4440  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just never use anything harsh on the prints…clean around the prints…and use only water to clean or wipe over the black prints🌟🌷

    Worried a little about using chemicals on the actual air fryer tray, are you sure you are able to remove all the residue considering you are cooking on it? This is the only thing stopping me from getting this is the amount of cleanup required

      With all the cleaning and bubbles that I do (watch at 16:07 minutes) and this was even cut short and at the end turning it on at 400 degree for 5-10 minutes to kind of sanitize it, it should be good enough and should not stop you from deep cleaning it if you are taking the time to do the right cleaning afterwards. Also, this is deep cleaning and not everyday cleaning, once in few months should be totally ok 👍
      Thank you for watching and leaving a question Pilot 🙏💕🌸

    Unfortunately I am unable to find the scotch brite soap pads or the scrubbing bubbles MAX degreaser. I worry about using a lot of these products as I’m afraid I will scratch and ruin the interior. Anyone have success/suggestions? TIA!

    How do you clean the metal pieces by the heating element on the bottom? Just the Bar Keeper’s Friend and steel wool? I tried and they are still stained😕

      From Breville: Use extreme caution when cleaning the
      quartz heating elements. Allow the oven to cool completely, then gently rub a soft, damp sponge or cloth along the length of the heating element.

    Any ideas - the windex and degreasing sprays did not clean the window part :(

      You’re not supposed to use Windex. She does mention it somewhere in the comments I would just do baking soda and vinegar.

      can you use steam cleaner on heating elements too?

    • @savorthemoment4440
      @savorthemoment4440  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I never used a steam cleaner, maybe in the future I’ll try it but I think I’ll be worried about the heating elements to break from steam pressure.

    Oh dear. I tried everything but it still looked awful. So, got out the oven cleaner that I have used successfully on my ordinary oven. Please do not use it. It appears I have wrecked the door. Seems as if it has reacted with the oven cleaner. It did not look like aluminium but perhaps it is. No idea. I am just upset as I use the air fryer over all the time so not too sure what to do now.

    Problem is those leave bad chemicals inside and when you cook put those chemicals in the air to breath. very bad stuff
