I'm confident in my rap abilities but this video really helped me improved my choruses cause we rappers normally negate the fact that we have to add choruses to complete the song. We too deep into the verse. This video really helped me!

Yes I can already rap about 13 songs from NF that are extremely hard ( No I am serious this is true and yes the ENTIRE SONG) hL the list is down below:
      -Real
      -Leave me alone.
      -Let you down
-Oh lord ( which in fact, is quite easy even for my 6 year old brother)
      -Time
      -I can feel it
      -Change
      -Therapy Session
      -Statement
      -No Name
      -My life
      -Got you on my mind
      -Intro 1
      -Intro 2
      -Intro 3
      -Outro
Check these songs out @NFrealmusic on TH-cam!

Big fan of this man, choruses have been my achilles heel as an artist for ages. I can write verses almost at command, I just suck at staying on a subject without a strong hook as my BASE. and since I suck at making choruses it actually AFFECTS MY VERSEWRITING. Because it becomes harder to stick to a topic or idea. I appreciate your channel, been following for a little bit and look forward to more.

For me, my favorite chorus is to my song Love Letter that use a talk to chorus.
    ...
I wanna tell my baby girl(my baby girl)
That she's the most precious thing to me(thing to me)
Even in this crazy world(crazy world)
    She's a diamond, she's an emerald, she's a pearl
    ..

My favorite kind of chorus is the "Talk To Chorus" because it makes me feel most connected to the song. At times it can feel like the artist is genuinely talking to you in a personal way. An example of the "Talk To Chorus" I really enjoy is: 4 Your Eyez Only by J. Cole.

Wide view always does the work and carries the song

  • @dabariummalak
    @dabariummalak 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

It depends on the song and how I look to carry out the song but mostly I'm a talk to kinda rapper.
I never just come with a chorus, I would pick 2 to 4 lines and use it for a chorus. I've always been that way!.
When I do pick from these lines that jump out at me, they are usually talk to formats
For example on my song love letter the chorus goes like.
I wanna tell my baby girl (my baby girl)
That she's the most precious thing to me (thing to me)
Even in this crazy world (crazy world )
    She's a diamond, she's an emerald, she's a pearl
The verse starts off with I wanna tell my baby girl and I filled in the three bars to complete the emo and it became a chorus. I believe that the chorus is in the verse, a line or a set of lines that jump out at you!

“Talk to” is my favorite. Just because of how much you can do with that. If you make a really catchy hook that holds a really good/attractive/dope and relatable point then I will keep that hook in my head for days. Like retches hook in Newport music.
I'm what you get when you mix coca and a triple beam
If it ain't the Feds, I'm falling victim to this nicotine
      Selling drugs, doing drugs
      Busting sexies in the club
      Like motherfuck this rap shit
I grew up in that trap, bitch
The combination Bars and that idea of fuck rap been trap all in a hook is just dope af..
I’ve been writing mad bars but haven’t even tried writing a hook so I needed this. Thank you 🙏🏽
