STORYLINE:
Ultra-Orthodox Jewish men rallied in Jerusalem on Sunday after Israel’s Supreme Court ruled unanimously that the military must begin drafting them for military service.
One participant at the rally held a sign reading: "We refuse to serve an army for the sake of the Zionist religion."
Another, read: "Israel is not the Jewish State it is the Zionist State, Jews are not Zionists" and "We will not sacrifice our children..."
Military service is compulsory for most Jewish men and women in Israel.
The Supreme Court decision could lead to the collapse of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s governing coalition as Israel continues to wage war in Gaza.
The court last week said the system of exemptions amounts to unequal treatment of different segments of the population and ordered the army to begin drafting ultra-Orthodox men.

I guess protest no longer works in effecting a change in government in Israel. Lawful Peaceful Protest is simply ignored by the Netanyahu regime. Its the case in most autocracies. They only understand one language.

Israel warned before IDF attacked. Hamas as government of Gaza has the duty to evacuate the citizens of Gaza. If not, Hamas is reponsible for the deaths of the Palestinians, no one else.
