To Megatron's Credit, I figured he probably had the Durability to go toe to toe with Frieza, but I couldn't fathom how he could possibly actually get the Win. Sadly, I was proven right. He simply couldn't have held on long enough for even his strongest offensive option to get him the win (had he been able to, however, is another matter entirely. Frieza was only ever stated to be able to survive the power of destruction for a short time, so if Megs had enough time he could probably have gotten a W that way, but sadly Frieza's offense was too much for him). Still, a very solid showing for the leader of the Decepticons.
The thing that rubs me the wrong way is that by lore freeza wouldn’t just be fighting megatron. He would be fighting the god “Primus” by attempting to destroy cybertron. As cybertron is primus’ alt mode like unicron. If that much damage happened to cybertron, primus would have awoken and joined the fight
Well you have to remember that Primus is asleep; a very deep sleep. He basically sacrificed his consciousness so that his people could have a world to live on. In most cases Primus has to be awakened by a key of some kind in order to regain consciousness and transform. If Primus were conscious the entire time then he wouldn’t have let Megatron’s war deplete Cybertron’s resources. Heck, he wouldn’t have allowed anything like the Fuctionist council to exist if he was conscious and in control of his power, thus preventing any war from taking place to begin with.
Gotta say Friezas voice in Kai is much better now than in the Original Show. No offense to Lindsey or whatever her name is. She's still a good voice actress and does Kid characters good, she did her Job given to her, since Voice Acting wasn't as big a gig as it is now.
I agree. Kai Frieza is how Frieza should and supposed to sound like cause that exactly how he would sound, talk and even say in english dub. "50% of my power, in poetry a half. A half, that it would turn you into space dust." That's one of my favorite quotes of him in Kai. Very intimidating.

Awesome to see you guys react to this DB. Been a fan of both series for years and DevilArtemis really did an amazing job animating this. I'm curious if you guys will check out his YT channel in the future. A big key detail for Frieza's victory is mentioned in his FEATS list: Resisted the Power of Destruction. I can see Hakai being a very similar energy to anti-matter for physical things and Frieza was able to survive the power from one of the weaker Gods of Destruction and from a much more powerful GoD candidate in the form of Toppo. Combine that with his speed there was no way Megatron's experience and tactical genius would give him the majority victory.
The spider woman from Beast Wars was Blackarachnia. Also, Resurrection F and Battle of Gods (where Beerus is introduced) are both arcs in Dragon Ball Super. You can pretty much skip the first two arcs of Super if you've watched those.
Reccomendation for Nick, although there are interesting things in Dragon Ball Super Anime version, because the movies, the anime and the manga have different things, slightly, the first 2 arcs of Super Anime are just retellings of the movies. If you get bored of the anime, just watch "Battle of Gods" and "Resurrection F" and then continue with the 3rd arc of Dragon ball Super anime. About the fight, spoilers ahead for people not caught up with Dragon Ball Super anime. I mean, I think even the antimatter thing is BS. Freezer has shown to be able to manipulate "Hakai" a.k.a. destruction energy, which is energy that can erase stuff from existance. If you get hit by it, you dont even get to go to the afterlife, you just cease to exist. And while it was not full power Hakai energy, Freezer survived it and threw it back at his attacker.

As a manga reader I would not recommend you two watch that next due to spoilers for the manga which won't be small I can almost guarantee that. What I can say so don't have to watch it is gojo should win the fight.
In the past year all the Buu saga through super for the first time pretty good. And a piggyback off of what Nate said Battle of gods and resurrection F got adapted into the anime so pick your poison on how you want to watch it. I felt mixed on this Death Battles for only 2 reasons 1. They should've at least let Megatron turn into both Galvatron and Super Megatron 2. If Death Battle actually was smart they should've went with The Unicron Trilogy Megatron who unlike G1/IDW Megatron who's more of a redeemable version Unicron Trilogy Megatron has more in coming with Freiza in both Skill and Power as well as Unicron Trilogy Megatron is more relentless and often has shown to be even more crueler to his Decepticons then G1 and he doesn't really justvl want to rule Cybertron he realy Wants the Cybertronian Great War to basically never end . He's Perhaps even more powerful than G1 Megatron in both his standard form and as well 42:28 G1 Galvatron even nearly killing him in the Armada comic where G1 Galvatron and Armada Megatron went in hand to hand where when Unicron Trilogy Megatron turns into Galvatron it's pretty much the same as Freiza turning into Golden And Black or Goku and Vegeta turing into the strongest super Sayin God forms and in Cybertron and Energon U.T Megatron was almost near God hood and even if Megatron dies his shear Rage for Optimus Prime, Anyone attempting to overthrow him and the shear fact of being beaten be someone even lesser than himself means killing him is both near impossible and hard to do as he can literally comeback into any form of either Megatron or Galvatron in a HeartBeat. Overall I didn't hate this Deathbattle, but I can't really say I liked this one either it was at best ok and at it's worse for choosing the wrong Megatron to put up against Freiza if they weren't also going to used Galvatron nor the Godmasters comics SuperMegatron form even if Freiza would've still one I'd would've rated this Slightly higher than ok

By the way, Fun Fact about me: GT is currently the only Dragon Ball Show that I’ve watched from Start to Finish and honestly, I didn’t mind it at all, I was okay with it in fact, with my favorite things about it being the Dark Shenrons Arc and the Ending.

Also in addition to this if they are using Dragon Ball super Frieza then freezes kills off Goku and Goku has literally tanked a black hole. In the tournament of power Goku when he basically was out of power withstood the pretty black hole from I think it was Universe 2 in which he literally had a black hole thrown on top of him Goku stood up went blue and destroyed the pretty black hole with a basic Kamehameha. Current Frieza is leagues above that Goku and would have been able to do the same thing much easier since Frieza in the tournament of power at that point had not exhausted himself like Goku did so the antimatter thing really wouldn't mean shit.

He may not like some of them but he has never disown them he has never said that none of these things are Cannon. People claiming things like GT is non-canon is basically just them putting words in toriyama's mouth that he never said. There's a big difference between Canon and continuity GT and super are not in the same continuity but both of them are absolutely Canon.

A big key detail for Frieza's victory is mentioned in his FEATS list: Resisted the Power of Destruction. I can see Hakai being a very similar energy to anti-matter for physical things and Frieza was able to survive the power from one of the weaker Gods of Destruction and from a much more powerful GoD candidate in the form of Toppo.
Combine that with his speed there was no way Megatron's experience and tactical genius would give him the majority victory.
So Frieza wasn’t just based on real estate guys but on the highest levels of visa. He truly is the greatest of evils

Also, Resurrection F and Battle of Gods (where Beerus is introduced) are both arcs in Dragon Ball Super. You can pretty much skip the first two arcs of Super if you've watched those.

Reccomendation for Nick, although there are interesting things in Dragon Ball Super Anime version, because the movies, the anime and the manga have different things, slightly, the first 2 arcs of Super Anime are just retellings of the movies. If you get bored of the anime, just watch "Battle of Gods" and "Resurrection F" and then continue with the 3rd arc of Dragon ball Super anime.

I mean, I think even the antimatter thing is BS. Freezer has shown to be able to manipulate "Hakai" a.k.a. destruction energy, which is energy that can erase stuff from existance. If you get hit by it, you dont even get to go to the afterlife, you just cease to exist. And while it was not full power Hakai energy, Freezer survived it and threw it back at his attacker.

As a manga reader I would not recommend you two watch that next due to spoilers for the manga which won't be small I can almost guarantee that.
What I can say so don't have to watch it is gojo should win the fight.

In the past year all the Buu saga through super for the first time pretty good.
And a piggyback off of what Nate said Battle of gods and resurrection F got adapted into the anime so pick your poison on how you want to watch it.

I felt mixed on this Death Battles for only 2 reasons
1. They should've at least let Megatron turn into both Galvatron and Super Megatron
2. If Death Battle actually was smart they should've went with The Unicron Trilogy Megatron who unlike G1/IDW Megatron who's more of a redeemable version Unicron Trilogy Megatron has more in coming with Freiza in both Skill and Power as well as Unicron Trilogy Megatron is more relentless and often has shown to be even more crueler to his Decepticons then G1 and he doesn't really justvl want to rule Cybertron he realy Wants the Cybertronian Great War to basically never end . He's Perhaps even more powerful than G1 Megatron in both his standard form and as well 42:28 G1 Galvatron even nearly killing him in the Armada comic where G1 Galvatron and Armada Megatron went in hand to hand where when Unicron Trilogy Megatron turns into Galvatron it's pretty much the same as Freiza turning into Golden And Black or Goku and Vegeta turing into the strongest super Sayin God forms and in Cybertron and Energon U.T Megatron was almost near God hood and even if Megatron dies his shear Rage for Optimus Prime, Anyone attempting to overthrow him and the shear fact of being beaten be someone even lesser than himself means killing him is both near impossible and hard to do as he can literally comeback into any form of either Megatron or Galvatron in a HeartBeat.
Overall I didn't hate this Deathbattle, but I can't really say I liked this one either it was at best ok and at it's worse for choosing the wrong Megatron to put up against Freiza if they weren't also going to used Galvatron nor the Godmasters comics SuperMegatron form even if Freiza would've still one I'd would've rated this Slightly higher than ok

Nah, EVERYONE is gonna skip that one because it won't be remotely interesting if they just use s1 Makima where she's still a mystery and used like 1% of her moveset.

Hm, I am still surprised that Frieza vs Megatron ended up being the one to introduce both of them in Death Battle, I thought they would have their own separate Matchups, still they did very well with this one.
By the way, Fun Fact about me: GT is currently the only Dragon Ball Show that I’ve watched from Start to Finish and honestly, I didn’t mind it at all, I was okay with it in fact, with my favorite things about it being the Dark Shenrons Arc and the Ending.
Even if his time was brief I think OPM's Boros would have been a more challenging opponent. The Emperor vs The Dominator of their respective universe's.
I like OPM but Boros would be even less of a challenge then Megatron. It would be a quicker bloodbath then anything

Also in addition to this if they are using Dragon Ball super Frieza then freezes kills off Goku and Goku has literally tanked a black hole. In the tournament of power Goku when he basically was out of power withstood the pretty black hole from I think it was Universe 2 in which he literally had a black hole thrown on top of him Goku stood up went blue and destroyed the pretty black hole with a basic Kamehameha. Current Frieza is leagues above that Goku and would have been able to do the same thing much easier since Frieza in the tournament of power at that point had not exhausted himself like Goku did so the antimatter thing really wouldn't mean shit.

Yes. Megatron condenses in his pistol transformation to the point that practically nothing can damage him. That's why he's never just crushed or torn to death by anyone wielding him.

GT is actually Canon the thing with dragon ball that a lot of people have a very hard time accepting is there is no one true canon in Dragon Ball even the manga itself is not the one true Canon. Toriyama was asked repeatedly about various things in the Dragonball series such as the movies anime filler GT even Dragonball evolution and Toriyama has never disowned any of these things. He may not like some of them but he has never disown them he has never said that none of these things are Cannon. People claiming things like GT is non-canon is basically just them putting words in toriyama's mouth that he never said.
There's a big difference between Canon and continuity GT and super are not in the same continuity but both of them are absolutely Canon.

If it wasn't written by toriyama it is not canon the only thing toriyama had to do was designing the base forms for a lot of characters that's it dragon Ball super has two different continuities but they fall under one Canon Goku black going super Saiyan in the manga means yes he can still do it in the anime he just doesn't cuz they wanted to get him straight to God forms in the anime GT is neither a separate continuity in Nor Cannon in any way and before you say something about that fifth time ring that's the alternate original future that trunks originally saved before he was killed by cell
