I watched this movie as it was released. It moved me very deeply and I am not even freaking Korean... A big fan of pansori ever since. These people are the true treasure of Korean identity, not microchip and technology makers! Big love from Armenia...
This was one of the most beautiful film I ever have seen in my life. Very touching when you understand the story. Singing the whole night for reconciliation and forgiveness between sister and brother who left his sister. With-out speaking but only singing an drumming!!! How deep can you touch your souls. This deep!!!
This film ending had me in tears, Brother and Sister uniting and preforming just like they did all those years ago, the sad thing was that even though He had found her, he did not tell Her who he was, but she knew just from the sound of his drum, I would have liked them reuniting and seeing him look after her until they both grew old together.

この映画『風の丘を越えて』の存在を知ったのは、一冊の本っからだった。講談社現代新書『韓国は一個の哲学である／理と気の社会システム』（小倉紀蔵・著）。韓国の恨を理解しようとするなら最適な映画がある、と紹介してあった。さっそくTSUTAYAに行って映画を借りて観た。何度も観た。涙して観た。身近に韓国人の知人はいなし、恨の感情にであったこともないので、言葉で理解できないのがが、それよりも、日本人は、慢性的な弱いものいじめ文化の餌食になった者の救済について真剣に考えるべきだ。この列島人間は、自分自身の立ち振舞いがいじめ構造を生産する要素的存在であることにも気がつかず、そして自分がその文化の被害者にもなるという、奇妙な世界に生きているということ。
