With the roof and shade fully closed you can also just push up on the button to partially open the shade and pop the back of the sun roof. Another push up closes the roof, then a push forward closes the shade.

Question: my 2023 Sportage boomerang Daytime Running Lights are not turning on during the day. They used to turn on automatically, but are not turning on during the day. How can I get my DRL lights to work during the day? Thank you!
It's my pleasure! Hmm, that's weird that they would stop. Here in Canada they are mandatory and we can't turn them off. Maybe take it to your local Kia and they can take a look. Thanks for watching! - Andrew

How did you get the shade to stop from fully closing? You mentioned that you can do it but I don’t see how in the video. Thank you.
You can press the button up into the ceiling to stop the shade at any point while it's moving! Thanks for watching! - Andrew
Question on a different issue, same vehicle. How do I raise the tailgate from outside the vehicle without having the key fob, even if I do have the key fob in my pocket. It won't open unless I press the button on the fob.
There should be a button right next to the backup camera to open the liftgate from the back! Thanks for watching! - Andrew

How do you clean the bug shield?
I just take a microfiber cloth with a quick detailer and give a light wipe right across, and all the nasty stuff usually comes off in a wipe or two! Thanks for watching! - Andrew
Do you know if the hybrid has the bug shield? I've lost track of how many times bees/other bugs have come in through the sunroof of my car! This bug shield is awesome!
Yep! The Panoramic Sunroof works the same in the Sportage ICE, HEV, and PHEV with the bug shield/net! Thanks for watching! - Andrew

Hey Andrew! Does the panoramic sunroof come only in with the AWD or can I get it with the FWD? Or does the sunroof come with the Ex itself?
Here in Canada the only FWD option is the LX and that does not come with the panoramic sunroof. So you can only get one with all-wheel-drive here. Thanks for watching! - Andrew
Hello! Do you know if you leave the car with the sunroof open, and lock it, will the car close it for you? Or will the car close it if the rain comes? (It can detect rain with the rain sensor)

Does this sunroof open all the way up?
The sunroof opens more than it ever has in the Sportage! It just needs somewhere for the glass to go, so they opened it to the limits of that. Thanks for watching! - Andrew
I never use mine but had to get it in order to get the automatic trunk/hatch option. In Florida you never see those sunroof open.
That makes sense, too hot! Sometimes you end up with some features you don't want based on the trim level options available. Thanks for watching! - Andrew

I don’t like these big panoramic sun Roofs, a large glass panel above my head ! I prefer the smaller ones, but sadly they don’t seem to be available on any new car !

I think the Kia Soul has the small one. I personally like pano so was excited the sportage has it.
The Kia Niro has a smaller sunroof
I love the panoramic sun roof. Probably for the same reason. I enjoy being in my greenhouse.

A nice feature, but why is the car so ugly on the outside. Messy design. You will learn something in design from Mercedes, Mazda and Genesis for example.

This car is NOT ugly. Go buy a Mercedes or Genesis if you don't like the Sportage - and then we can compare monthly car payments ; )
