Andrew, Thank you for continuing to post new videos about features of the Sportage. I have had mine for 4 months now and I'm still learning new things from you. Whenever someone on social media has a question about a feature I refer them to your videos at Cardinal Kia. Much appreciated!
It's my pleasure! There's always something new to learn, even for me! Spreading the word is certainly appreciated and helps me create more content! Thanks for watching! - Andrew
Oh my goodness about to return my Kia Sportage too complicated to operate but no way now after watching this. It’s all so simple when you know how. Thank you and best wishes from Portugal
I'm so glad this helped! Be sure to check out all of the other videos too! I'm glad you made the choice to keep it, haha! Thanks for watching! - Andrew
Brilliant explanation man! Thanks a bunch! Been searching for this option in the manual and lost more time than to find this video online and listen through. Great advice and love how you go into details without being boring.👏👏👏 Keep it up!
Thx for this living in the windy desert the lane assist not needed... Winds blowing pushes car , tht thing went Nuts while driving, Am turning tht off .Thank you
@@CardinalKia thanks Andrew. Have to say that your videos helped me in deciding to choose KIA and the Sportage. Can’t wait to get it !!! It’s a rather nice yellow so everyone will see me coming !!!! 😎
I bought a new 2024 Kia Carnival. When I tested drove the vehicle LKA the lines were green but now they are white. How do you I get the green lines back. I don’t know what I change in vehicle. I only change maybe four settings. How do I get the green lines back.
They go white when the car has been able to properly read the lines in the road, and will go green once your lane safety system is active. This happens only when you've reached a certain speed (60km/h or roughly 37mph) and the car can read the lines! Thanks for watching! - Andrew
Thanks so much! Yep you can, when you're in CarPlay, go to the App list and select Kia, that will take you back to the Kia home screen, then you select Radio, put it on whatever station you want to listen to, then go back to the home screen and choose CarPlay. It should now be in CarPlay with the Radio playing in the background! Hope this helps! Thanks for watching! - Andrew
Hang on in there Andrew! It’s seriously worth the wait. I was one of the lucky ones that ordered in March and got PHEV in July. Knowing what I know now I’d have waited years :)
More like "wake up or you might be!" haha, Driver Attention Warning system should be kicking in to alert you that something is not quite right when these Lane Safety systems keep alerting you! Thanks for watching! - Andrew
I disagree with your assessment. If you are on a road with good lnes, the system works great. I recently did a 1500 mile trip. The lane centering, combined with the following assist worked great and the car basically did all the driving for about 95% of the trip. It even navigated all the curves. If there are confusing markings on the road, it does get confused.
I have a 2020 Soul. The lane follow is always on by default. Is this the case for the new Sportage or do i have to turn on lane keep each time i start the vehicle?
The lane safety systems can be turned on and off as you want to, and will not come back on when turned off unless YOU turn them back on! Thanks for watching! - Andrew
Thanks! For the most part yes, there are a few vehicles like the Rio, Forte and Seltos that don't come standard with it, but you don't have to go far up to get it. Thanks for watching! - Andrew
Awesome! Yes you can, you can use either, both or none. The Lane Follow turns on with your Smart Cruise Control as part of the Highway Driving Assist! Thanks for watching! - Andrew
When you press the button on the steering wheel that looks like paper, you moved to a settings icon where you can choose to have the active assist, warning only, or off. For some reason, I’m not seeing the settings wheel. Is that because I don’t actively have the assist on? I have a road icon, car icon, arrow icon, then an info icon. Should that settings icon still be there?
Hmm, if you have a trim level that has the 12.3" infotainment screen, these settings can be found in there under Setup - Vehicle - Driver Assistance. Thanks for watching! - Andrew
it seems that I'm still missing to understand the difference, so "lane follow assist" keeps you in the lane, and "lane keep assist" keeps you in the lane, what's the difference then??
Lane Keep keeps you away from the edges of the lane and let's you know if you start crossing or get really really close. Lane Follow keeps the vehicle centered in the lane so you can't even wander around in the lane. Thanks for watching! - Andrew
I love technology, but found this to be quite dangerous as it will not always follow a bend in the road. Granted Australian road making isn’t the greatest but the system hasn’t done its job on what I would consider a strong line. It’s a Big don’t use from me!
This is only an assist, you are still suppose to be the one turning the wheel into the curve, it is just assisting you with staying away from the line or following the center of the lane depending on which system you have on. It is not suppose to be doing this on it's own. Thanks for watching! - Andrew
I wish my dealer was as good as you at explaining these features!
I appreciate the kinds words! Thanks for watching! - Andrew

Super useful and so clear. Thanks for this. Picking up my new Sportage hybrid in 3d time after an 8 month wait. Very excited.
Thank you so much! That's an amazing choice and so worth the wait, do enjoy! Thanks for watching! - Andrew

@mhouslay7281 It's my pleasure! That sounds like a cool colour, we have no option for yellow here! - Andrew
Thank you, very helpful, much appreciated.

Hi Andrew, I love your videos. Can you tell me if it’s possible to listen to the radio when using Car Play please? I can’t find a way of doing that 😮

@@CardinalKia thank you so much. I tried earlier but couldn’t get back to Apple CarPlay. Maybe I’m a bit thick 😣
I’ll try again tomorrow 👍
Andrew I'm still learning tons from your videos but no sign of my new car here in Scotland after 10 months.
Glad to hear it! It will be worth the wait, we still have lots of customers waiting patiently here too! Thanks for watching! - Andrew
Hang on in there Andrew! It’s seriously worth the wait. I was one of the lucky ones that ordered in March and got PHEV in July. Knowing what I know now I’d have waited years :)
So basically if you fall asleep behind the wheel (the time you need the safety features the most,) the car says “you’re definitely dying today!”
More like "wake up or you might be!" haha, Driver Attention Warning system should be kicking in to alert you that something is not quite right when these Lane Safety systems keep alerting you! Thanks for watching! - Andrew

The whole Highway Driving Assist system does exactly that! Perfect for those long hauls! - Andrew
Finally I can turn off that bullshit on the rental! Thanks mate! 👍😁

Hello , nice video,, does anyone knows if the feature is standard in all models and trims?
Thanks! For the most part yes, there are a few vehicles like the Rio, Forte and Seltos that don't come standard with it, but you don't have to go far up to get it. Thanks for watching! - Andrew
Pick up our new Sportage this week, these videos are great.

I love how you pronounce a korean brand in french: "esportach"
I'm going to start changing that, I promise! haha. Thanks for watching! - Andrew
only in the USA we call it "sport age", anywhere else sold it's called "sportash" 🤷♂🤷♂
it seems that I'm still missing to understand the difference, so "lane follow assist" keeps you in the lane, and "lane keep assist" keeps you in the lane, what's the difference then??

So in other words, the first one helps you out and the second one is forcing you.
Yeah that's one way to put it! Thanks for watching! - Andrew

Is your fuel consumption bar (purple bar below speed right in the middle 0 to 30) working? Mine goes to 30 when my foot is off the accelerator.
