@@nolongerposting5317 Nope. Reused African assets. They try to BS an explanation about how the Arctic was where they first appeared as a species and this is a quasi-proto form, but it's clearly just reused assets because practical effects are too hard.
@@revolverocelot214 It is easy to pick up the trend of sh*t monster movie these days. More physical features (fangs, teeth, hooks, claws, spikes, tentacles) slapped into them thinking it would make audiences shocked, stunned, astonished but in reality the redundancy made those creatures felt like cheap fantasy products.
I don't mind the design one bit. But what makes me laugh is when they make the worms jump out of the ground lol.

I love this movie... I love all six movies. And I still boycott the SYFY channel for canncelling tremors the series and two other shows... Michael Gross is the greatest character actor ever...

It’s honestly impossible to make the connection between these Assblasters and Graboids from a design standpoint. At least the creatures in the original trilogy had the same mouth appearance so you could tell they’re biologically connected.
honestly i never liked the change in design, i'll always perfer the origial species to the new creatures

Justan WOW I’m more annoyed that the new species was supposed to be African and they just recycled it for this movie. On top of that, they never clearly explained the shrieker stage of this variety. It’s never explained how these ass blasters are produced

Tyler Lamb Remember when a graboid swallowed him in tremors 3? He got infected by a parasite they carry. He started showing symptoms in this movie. It nearly killed him.

Edit: Just to be clear i’m not looking for an excuse as to why theres basically no snow in the movie such as seasonal change or global warming. I’m just saying there SHOULD have been snow in the movie, or a snowy setting of sorts. It would have made for an interesting new setting and given more of an excuse to actually redesign the graboids instead of just reuse the ones from 5.

2) I don't own climatologists nor do I believe climatologists are some sort of authority. The facts and data are period. When 97% of scientist agree on the DATA not their authority.
3) Complex climate models and the mountains of data collected are not common knowledge if it was you could tell the temperate of the southern pacific ocean and the number of metropolis cities 60ft or lower to sea level without looking it up, then you could ask the same question you a group of people and get the same answer. The fact you aren't even describing it correct shows it is not common. "The climate is always changing" again not the problem it is the acceleration. The imbalance in the water cycle will causes massive corrective actions. Super storms, algae blooms, droughts, release of dormant virus and bacteria, dead ocean life. A) the world is not alive. It is not a biological organism.
B) Select few? Every major nation in the World is converting to renewable except the US, majority of the world scientific community agrees. the select few that don't are the ones with finical interest against switching

Ass Blasters of the Arctic is the same as Africa. Too bad that makes no sense. Between Tremors 5 and 6, 6 was much worse and wrong. If you wanted an ass blasters and graboid in the arctic that would make a new cold-adapted type, don't ctrl + C and Ctrl V.
Another reason they changed it is because they HATED the original designs.
The original designs are better. At least the shriekers will be the same

Cringey. I kinda feel bad for Gummer being being surrounded by whoever plotted the film. The tropes they gave him were cringey. Weird/cringey casting for his son... it's like they based the characters on 2D offensive stereotypes... T.T Welp, regardless, 1-4 and S and the preview for S2 were great.
See, I liked the Africa movie evolution because I legit could see the evolution path differing like this and it was a good twist. Hell, I even gave the independent tendrils a roll, it'd be like how a sea cucumber ejects its intestines and regrows them.
But the reuse of designs from the prior movie, this one being because you didn't like the OG design? Awful. Absolutely awful. Not helped by the sfx crew being so pathetic as to reuse shots via rewind to stretch out the practical dirt effect for the graboid. And sure as hell not helped by the fact that the team here don't act like humans, Burt and Travis have the same fucked dynamic as the last film because creativity hard, and the fact you struggled to find snow.
My favorite movie....turned into shit...fart jokes? Balls jokes? Cheap CGI? Horrific Acting? God this sequel is just pathetic. The only good thing about it is the blood! And there’s not even that much!!!

Ehh it's bad, but certainly not the worst movie ever made. Starship Troopers 2, and the Master of Disguise are much much worse.
