My father and I liked the original movie's mix of ideas, that graboids are an alien lifeform that landed in the Precambrian era, have existed for a LONG time, then were exposed to nuclear radiation during recent testing. The combo certainly explains how radically different they are from any other lifeform on Earth, and even explains the variants somewhat as well (the US version being the exposed to rads/mutating, the others more original in genetics).
Tremors has always been a favorite of mine, especially the third film, when they show the history of Perfection. I love it when a horror fanchise expands the lore behind a monster and makes an attempt to create a more believable critter. The evolution cycle reminds me of Metroids from Metroid II, very similar style of evolution.

If Stampede didn't leave the franchise and kept making Tremors we would have had 2 Tremors 2 movies and 2 Tremors 5 movies. Tremors Aftershocks(Universal- the one that released) Tremors Aftershocks(Stampede- the cancelled version with Kevin Bacon if he accepted it we could've gotten this) then years later Tremors 5(Stampede- cancelled supposed to have Kevin Bacon Fred Ward and Michael Gross in Australia like part 2) Tremors 5: Bloodlines (Released) If the cancelled ones were made we would see not 7 movies but 9 movies and 3 shows.

Here's some ideas I came up with. Cavern Graboids, these Graboids seem to have gotten lost in caves. Due to this they are nearly not as big as other Graboids. However they are super similar to the Classic American Graboids. They have all life cycles and function super similarly. However they are significantly more adept at burrowing. They can burrow through stone, often breaking through violently. All life cycles for this are unique. They're tentacles are unique as instead of having 3, they only have 1. The Shriekers are highly adept at hunting and have developed tough armor. Due to living in a cave, Blasters can't fly or spread fire. They're beaks are extremely durable and body covered in armor. Although they can't fly or spread fire, they can dig, with their beaks. Extremely fast. Can break even stone. Deep Sea Graboids. Unlike Oceanic, these ones have completely lost their ability to burrow. They can only swim. Infact they have adapted so well to water that after leaving they can drown on land. They have no life cycles at all except for Dirt Dragons which are now called Water Dragons. These worms are extremely massive as well. Significantly bigger than others. Basically giants. They live deep underwater and even hide in trenches and crevasses. For some reason, they don't have any tentacles in their mouths, however their sheer size is enough power and force. Sorry I am a nerd. I love the unique variations for Graboids. I hope I did justice! And obviously this isn't everything about them.

Deep Sea Graboids. Unlike Oceanic, these ones have completely lost their ability to burrow. They can only swim. Infact they have adapted so well to water that after leaving they can drown on land. They have no life cycles at all except for Dirt Dragons which are now called Water Dragons. These worms are extremely massive as well. Significantly bigger than others. Basically giants. They live deep underwater and even hide in trenches and crevasses. For some reason, they don't have any tentacles in their mouths, however their sheer size is enough power and force.
Sorry I am a nerd. I love the unique variations for Graboids. I hope I did justice! And obviously this isn't everything about them.

@@necroavirus Just saw your comment. That's way more creative than what the movies have done. Even without the hybrid mutant creatures, there's plenty of things you can do with the franchise.
The ass blasters were dumb. And not in a fun way, they were just dumb. That movie was awful, the first two were fun and horrifying. 3rd was ass, blasted. The show was good, from what I remember seeing.
Of course Artic & African they look same, because they are too Lazy to design more Species, even the new one only slightly different...

There needs to be a new aquatic graboid species or even flying ones or T. rex type ones heck even space graboids
I like the T-Rex idea, instead of making 3 normal shriekers, it instead molts its leathery slug like body and becomes basically a giant shrieker
Tremors was always one of my favorite movies and it still scared the shit put of me. Every time i was outside and stepped on a mound of dirt that my foot slightly sunk down into, a grabpid was the first thing to come to my mind 😂
