As a former smw kaizo player and avid watcher of kaizo players, I recognize so many of these glitches! It still makes me go WTF over some of the stuff like Hammerchuck Yoshi though. Good show
I'd personally love to see a Kaizo hack that _requires_ these sort of shenanigans - getting past certain obstacles would require memory manipulation, like summoning enemies with the wrong sprites that still get you where you need to go, or requiring you to swap your held item so it becomes an invincibility star like he did in Vanilla Fortress.
@@JanusHoW There are some hacks that do require glitches like that, most well-known is Item Abuse by Panga. They are effectively intended to be beaten by TAS, and even then it can be very difficult.

@@DJIncendration …Have you watched the video? Some of the body horror pixel clipping, randomly spawning sprites and disfigured sprites like hammer Chuck are legitimately some of the creepiest things I’ve seen in a video game.

We are back with some more playarounds, I love these kinds of TASes, ones made to entertain or make you laugh. By the way, as I watch this video here are the crashes: 19:07 Crash #1
Yoshi will never be the same after this. Heck, the entire Super Mario WORLD will never be the same after this. LOL Edit: Seriously though, what a fantastic glitchfest. This game is very well known for a bunch of glitches but there are a lot of glitches here that I've never seen before. What a fantastic showcase of how broken this game really is. Awesome job!
This is honestly the first time I'm hearing of most of these… Most intriguing for me is 2:14:13, when Mario goes out of gameplay and into the overworld, while still being within gameplay, and 2:19:11 with how Chocolate Island 3 seems to load the lightning effects from the Valley of Bowser map screen, and how a perfectly-timed Feather grab could softlock the bonus game, alongside the various other times miscellaneous objects were spawned, like the Boos from Sunken Ghost Ship.
Can’t believe it took me this long to find a comment that mentioned either of those parts. They were by far the two biggest WTF moments of this video (in a three hour marathon LOADED with them). He even fights Bowser during the lightning/dark part, albeit the Mechakoopas are completely different sprites.
I'm pretty sure it did in fact load the Bowser fight in the wrong level, and what you see with the mushroom and dolphins shows how the Bowser fight reuses item slot variables to keep track of things, this is also pretty much how the cloud glitch works, because the X coordinate of whatever sprite slot the cloud normally loads into is reused for the Bowser timer
This might be the greatest TAS I’ve ever watched. I don’t think there’s a single level where some glitch shenanigans aren’t happening. Cheers, Igor, you did it. 😀
