    Episode 114
If you missed Part 1, see it here: • #SuperMario Super Mari...
Super Mario World, known as Super Mario Bros. 4 in Japan, was the franchise's debut on the Super Nintendo. It was one of the very first games made for the system, but even today it's still one of the very best!
With 74 levels, and 96 different exits to find, this was Mario's biggest adventure yet! This time he'd have help from someone other than his brother, Luigi, because Super Mario World was the first game in the series to feature Yoshi!
In Part 2 we'll pick up where we left off last time, and we'll learn:
    * The best way to complete ALL 74 levels, and find ALL 96 Exits!
    * The Credits Warp: A way to beat the game WITHOUT FINISHING ANY LEVELS!
    * TONS of tricks to get UNLIMITED 1-UPs!
    * Interesting places to use the ORB GLITCH, an item that can clear levels INSTANTLY!
    * How to get through every confusing Ghost House!
    * Where to find all of the different Yoshis!
    * Three different MAP GLITCHES!
    * Where to find EVERY DRAGON COIN!
    * EASY ways to beat the most difficult levels in the game, including Tubular and Awesome!
    * Where to find Secret Bonus Stages!
    * The secret way to ride the SILVER YOSHI!
    * A way to speed up the music!
    * Hidden "Easter Eggs" - We'll find them all!
    * The best strategy for defeating EVERY BOSS, even BOWSER himself, AND MORE!
    Thanks for watching!

So "Tubular" was the bane of my existence for what seems like many, many months of my childhood. I felt like a freaking Rockstar when I finally beat it. It was nice hearing someone whose opinion I trust say that it's difficult.
I did manage to beat it while preserving my Yoshi on my next to last playthrough. It took a lot of re-trying and trial-and-error but it definitely is possible. My last try, I got bored before I accomplished it because I knew I had already done it before.

Super Mario World is easily my favorite in the Mario Franchise. I think I fell in love with, at the time, how much more realistic the characters felt. From there it was playing it over and over and over. Thank you for making this video for people who really don't know this game that well.

The coin dropping cloud is just another way to get 1ups it drops 10 coins and if you collect them all it will then drop a green mushroom. Also you can hold up while riding yoshi to keep him from ducking while using his tongue. Otherwise EXCELLENT guide as usual. Don't ever stop

I'm honestly surprised that, given how insanely thorough he was with the rest of the game, he never made that connection. I mean, surely he should've done it by accident, simply by trying to collect as many as possible, just for an extra challenge while playing through the stages for the 100th time.

The mechanics of the final fight against Bowser are almost identical to the final fight against Montana Max in "Tiny Toon Adventures 2: Trouble in Wackyland" on NES. He was flying in a blimp and you had to throw back his own bombs at him.

You can go back from the post-Special World swap by going through the Special World map to the Star Road at the end again. If you use the Star at the end of the Special World, it'll take you back to the original version of the game.

SMB3 was my favorite too, I loved the variety and consistent themes of the worlds. Plus, climbing a tower to the clouds was awesome, as was fighting through all of Bowser's army in world 8. At any rate, it's nice to see all of the exits - your guides are always so thorough.

Wow, that credits warp glitch is so beyond ridiculous and convoluted that it makes the 'Secret of Mana' extra-sword-orb glitch (which allows you to craft and use the Mana Sword as a regular weapon) look very reasonable and super easy to do by comparison! Major credit to you for having the patience of showing that off, I certainly would not have had it for that one.

Chocolate Island 4 has what they call a "killer" corner at the very beginning of the level. The top right corner of the ceiling right at the beginning goes down, then goes at a 45* angle. As small Mario, if you manage to hit that particular corner just right, the game will pull Mario into that corner, and crush him.

There's a neat and fun little trick you can do for extra lives in Forest of Illusion 3. You can take a Bomb-omb and kick it upwards through the other bubbles. The collision on the bubbles is so wonky it counts as multiple collisions, so if you manage to hit more than one bubble with its trip back to the ground, you will get a couple extra lives for your trouble.

I grew up playing Mario from the NES through the N64. The first game I ever beat was Super Mario Land on the Gameboy and I still remember both the elation at having beat it, followed by the longing of knowing that it was over. The same happened with Super Mario World. Now I feel old because I see the newer Marios that have released on the Wii and the Switch and I just don't understand them or the mechanics invovled.

Super Mario World is truly a legendary game. The first video game experience of my life, and it remains one of my all-time favorites. Truly a special UCBVG moment for me. Cheers, and see you next game.

39:23 Mario found his way through the forest of Illusion and has put an end to Bully of castle #5. Onward to the dangerous (but tasty) Chocolate Island!

Now, Part 3: 200% Super Mario World, completing the Alternate World unlocked after collecting all Dragon Coins & completing All Exits to complete 100% of the game (or better with the use of Dragon Wings spawned from duplicated blocks). Furthermore, you forgot to mention the alternate ending which plays when you get the 100% complete with all Dragon Coins found, which signals the completion of every level in the game; I loved those alternate colored koopas the most, really mixed things up.

Awesome!! Thank you so much for doing this!! I think if you collect all smiling face coins, it gives you a 1up..Yoshi can do a standing tongue lick by holding up while making him stick out his tongue...if Yoshi eats an invincible shell, he will temporarily have all three power ups

I remember beating this in my early twenties, before I bought my 1st system (ps3). I had no idea how much I hadn't experienced. Sure, I beat the special world stages, but there was still a bunch of side paths I never opened up, and I couldn't even conceive being able to glitch the game so much. Silver Yoshi sounds like a good enough reason to replay it though, and maybe I'll try to get him with a colored Yoshi to see what happens. Great watch as always.

I used to jam on this with a buddy, taking turns beating levels with Mario and Luigi.
    Game is a masterpiece.

When I was a kid I could have sworn there was another secret to Chocolate Island 2 with that exit to the right, like another island comes down and connects. But to this day, I've never heard that mentioned anywhere

To explain why the secret credits warp works is because everything you do before doing the item swap trick was to line up the game's memory addresses to instant teleport to that screen, even the buttons you need to hold down.
Arbitrary code execution tricks are funny that way.

The first Super Mario Bros game that has credits at the end is Super Mario Land for Gameboy. I believe it also was the very first Mario game to have an actual epilogue.

This series was great and very thorough, the only things that I saw that were missed were:
In Vanilla Dome Ghost House: at the beginning after the round of ghosts, if walk across the top platform, middle platform, middle platform, then go back left to the bottom platform, a 1 up spawns (never new about this one till I looked at the full map online)
In Valley of Bowser 2: after you get out of the first pipe, if you jump up to the top left corner there is a mushroom/cape (depending on if you are big or little)

Fun Fact: Most of the Koopa Kids are named after musicians:
Lemmy Koopa - Lemmy from Motorhead
Iggy Koopa- Iggy Pop from Iggy and the Stooges
    Roy Koopa - Roy Orbison
Ludwig von Koopa - Ludwig von Beetoven
Wendy O. Koopa - Wendy O. Williams from The Plasmatics
Bowser himself is named after Bowser from Sha Na Na, a nostalgia 50s doo wop group
Larry is named after Larry King of all people, and Morton Koopa Jr. is named after Morton Downey Jr., a largely forgotten talk show host and comedian

God, I just love these types of videos, especially since these games are my childhood, but there is still soooooooo much to learn and so many hidden secrets I would have never found as a child. Definitely subbing to see what else you cover and Definitely going to check out your other vids!
