Dear Listener, this recording has some copyrighted music in the video so YT plays ADS to collect revenue for the record company. I have no control over the ads that appear as it is all TH-cam placing ads for the music companies as I used copyrighted material in this old recording. My channel is not monetized so I make no money from them or the ads that appear. I try not to use copyrighted music anymore. If you purchase a TH-cam premium subscription you can avoid ads. The responsibility is all on your end.

There will be light like a hundred thousand suns. Don't be distracted. Resting wide awake in luminous Emptiness. Exhaling like a rattle. This has been the experience of dying I (not I) experienced although I came back from the darkness within darkness.
Overwhelming gratitude. You are already a dear friend and lovely presence in my daily life. Thank you ❤

Would you like to share your experience?
. I believe I may have been in that same darkness within darkness before too.
I had an experience once of sinking down through some tube into blissfully restful darkness. There was no fear. It was exciting at first because I was completely conscious and wondered if I was dying and then stopped caring because I just knew there was nothing to fear. I had the knowledge that this was some out of body type thing and I could still sense my body laying in bed as though it was a distant perception.
I was going down backwards and head first. I could feel my body still and see my feet above me as I went downwards. The tube seemed biological like a throat or something but warm and not gross or wet or anything lol. It was pleasant and dark.
Then after going down the tube for a few minutes I entered a vast expanse of soothing darkness. At first I saw some lights that looked like large colorful cells dividing.
Then as I sank further down it became a sort of deep rejuvenating dip into pre-conscious awareness. All time stopped having meaning so I don't know how long it seemed to last.
Then I had the experience of being floated out of it into some dream room that looked like a calm relaxing restaurant. I was warm and dry and had a towel around my shoulders. I was floated over to a table and placed into a booth seat. The whole place looked empty but I had the feeling someone very wise was about to come out and sit with me.
At this point, I woke up in bed. It was not a sudden jump. It was a smooth
      conscious transition.
I was feeling very joyful and well rested and extremely grateful for that experience. In normal time, this whole experience lasted less than 20 minutes but I felt like I had just woken up from the best sleep of my entire life!

    • @otterrivers3765
      @otterrivers3765 4 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      **Some background for this exoerience**:
I had really bad insomnia. I had worked hard all day and had another long work day ahead of me. So I was getting more stressed as the time to wake up got closer and closer.
When I had only about 1/2 hour to go, I started dreaming I was in a house and every room just lead to another room. Everything seemed messy and rickety.
Then I realized "oh this is a dream" . So I knew that even though everything seemed as detailed and real as in waking life, It was actually all just a projection of my mind.
Then I had the intuition "what if I just don't project anything?" And that's when this whole experience began.
I'm not sure exactly what it was. And I hesitate to label it, but I do know I was feeling energetic and joyful all day. It was better than any sleep I've experienced in my entire life.

The first paramedics didn't want to take me because of Covid-19. They thought it was not serious enough but the second paramedics were too late. It's not an experience words can even begin to accurately describe.

As always, thank you, Jayasara. You have created a vast library of precious enlightenment tools. This one is extremely intense. I believe it is stated in this work, that after hearing this three times, even if you killed your own mother and father, you can attain liberation.
Most of us are merely guilty of a few curses, and stealing gum in our youth. But, it does not matter, because this practice of pure awareness, in the presence of enticing manifestations, allows us to avoid the pitfalls of attraction.
Powerful delivery, indeed, Jayasara. Your great effort is appreciated and applauded. We humbly accept your great gifts to our spiritual community.Blessings to you, sister. May your journey be crowned with victory.

Sublime. . . A little cat came to visit me as night fell last night. It seems he has been coming off & on for the 20 years i have lived at my current address, although that doesn't really seem possible. He never seemed to age & I.have wondered about him over the years. A few weeks ago i realised i had not seen him for a while & again i wondered, but this time as to whether he had died. And then, last night, there he was again. But for the very first time a little wobbly & arthritic in the legs. He struggled a bit as he navigated my many steps & did not stay long before climbing back up to the street. He was more detached than usual, not displaying the incredible affection he had shown me for the past 20 years, even when i was impatient or preoccupied to the point of feeling him a bother. This little cat,.who displayed such love, such kindness, consistently over so many years, somehow I knew had come to take his final leave of me. It was his last gift of love. I raced into the night & down the street as I saw him disappear down another drive, no doubt to say his farewell there too. I cannot forget this little cat, who seemed such a noble soul, far far greater than me with the ostensibly greater human intelligence. Last night as I lay awake feeling as if my heart were breaking, i realised that Tom has been one of my greatest teachers. I will miss his physical presence terribly but I will never forget him. May his passing & passage through the Bardo be accompanied by compassionate Bodhisattvas, 💜 🐈

How many of us actually believe they can truly detach from our sins or obsessions?

Sleep and his half brother death comes to mind, as per the ancient Greek mythology and as Homer has written in Iliad.. I find this concept fascinating - written in the Thibetan book of the dead - that what takes place in the processes of one is said to be mirrored in those of the other.
Thus, during initial stages of sleep there is this gradual loss of the senses (or the dissolving of elements), the extremely vivid (sometimes frightening) hypnagogic state that lures one into unconsciousness and to believe everything that follows as real, the dream itself depicting various aspects of the previous (state) day stimuli and the great void of deep sleep between the 3 to 4 cycles of dreams that are formed up until we are thrown into a rebirth in the morning; all the bardos are there not excluding the oblivion that is obviously present throughout both.
In a sense we are instantaneously passing through the same while also completely losing our awareness/consciousness during every thought and its aftermath of other relating thoughts that ensue.
Thanks for this rare gem, I wish many will follow.

To express my gratitude I just made a donation to Viveka Hermitage, which Samaneri Jayasara is setting up for nuns who want to deepen their practice. If anyone else wants to similarly 'pay the love forward' then follow the link to the Paypal site: www.paypal.com/paypalme/VivekaHermitage

I did not know Buddhism used the term 'rakhshas' as well. We use it in Sanatan Dharma/Hinduism to denote certain malevolent beings

Dear Samaneri, I thank you deeply for sharing this hidden treasure. This recording(in terms of content and choice of music) is my favorite so far and I keep coming back to this.
I have been listening to the Shurangama mantra for a while now. I do not know of its origin/meaning, nor am I able to find translations of it in English, but I find utmost strength. Some of the words and content of this extract reminded me of the mantra. Is my understanding correct? Kindly clarify if possible. Much gratitude, love and light to you🙏💞🌸

Hi there, I'm no expert on this particular mantra or whether its essential meaning can be linked with this particular teaching. Perhaps others might be able to comment. I did, however, find a good website that outlines the mantra and provides a reading in English. You can find it here: www.gcdr.org.au/what-is-shurangama-sutra-and-shurangama-mantra.html

So, basically no expectation, just be and go with the flow?
    Is this correct?

    • @SamaneriJayasara
      @SamaneriJayasara  4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

So long as you recognise your True Nature and can "flow" with the Awareness/Rigpa for awakening and liberation, then yes. But the clear light of Awareness is essentially stopping the "flow" of samsara.
