I just hope Netease can try to salvage the servers. The issue will be that a lot of players don’t want to start over due to the attachment they have with their characters, the time and money invested will just disappear and it sucks.

It was really scummy of WB to just announce this right after releasing a banner many people used a lot of keys on, and many players like myself have invested a lot of time, energy and financial resources because this is our escape from the disappointment of reality. We aren’t just players, but a community that just wants to demonstrate our love for a world that captivated our imagination and brought us so much joy. Though to be honest, if NE does not pick up the global servers, i will not be starting a new account there, because it is just gut wrenching to lose all the cards, furniture, progress and achievements I’ve accumulated over the past year. I will not start over. I had spellbooklevel 90 and 15 x level 18 cards. I just cant start over. I wont even be able to do achievements at that low level. And i will never be able to get Abigails scarf and my knightbus outfit back. fuck this game

I think the worst part is that they dropped it so casually and didn't even apologize. It's like being dumped through a text message ''It's over, move on''
The fact that they did this literal days before the 3rd Anniversary of the NetEase version makes this feel premeditated. I'd say I'm surprised they didn't wait until AFTER the anniversary to rake in a few extra bucks from the gacha-within-gacha event, but then again, smart decisions were never their stong suit, were they? I'm gonna make a new character on NetEase tomorrow, but it won't be the same. It'll never be the same. So many reward items I'll never get back, like the Custom Hat, Abigail's Scarf and Shouren's Alabaster Outfit. Not to mention the wheel outfits, I'll have to build a whole new supply of Clockturn Keys... I'm glad I never spent a cent on this game. WB never deserved a cent after butchering this game so badly. This is just another heartbreak for those of us who played Harry Potter:Wizards Unite, which WB killed two years ago. I had NEVER been so fond of a game as HPMA, leaving aside the money invested, which in my case was not the worst thing! For me it was an escape from reality, a second life, even a social one, growing up, having a community, a family, your character adapted to your own personality, seeing your time go down the drain is totally what has broken my soul the most. Games shut down all the time. What makes this worse then most is that we pvp against another server that's staying up and WB didn't even bother to work something out to transfer the accounts to NE. Google/Apple needs to have this situation explained why refunds are 100% valid.

I propose going to each WB game and hate-telling them to be careful with this company's games and not to invest anything because they could close it down without giving you any option.
Honestly it’s one of the most disgusting actions towards all the fans. There was no communication or even explanation from WB at all and it really feels like a damn scam. It’s pretty unfair and I don’t see who would actually benefit from this. Lots of people lost their money and feel betrayed, yet WB‘s reputation won’t shine bright after this awful performance.

Before we didn't have keys were using the book rolls. Before we didn't have those gacha events only wheels and direct sales of clothes, same as monthly cards 680 of jewel. All of our wands and outfits have special effects to make them look even cooler.

@@Perfecteditss change your region on App Store or download an APK. I’m personally liking NE better than WB (I restarted, and judging by where I am now, I’ll probably sb 75 by the time I reach year 4, compared to my previous sb 67).
NetEase doesn't usually shut down games. NE has had great success with this game and still has tons of competition. So I don't think they will shut down the game anytime soon like WB did. Frankly, the WB server has been dead for months, even though it's a newer version than TW.

So just a small update for anyone who recently spent money on the game, try requesting a refund for any purchases you made. I sent 27 refund requests (totaling around $600 that i spent within the last two months) i was just refunded everything by apple. my purchases went as far back as July 2nd by the way. hope this helps. good luck yall.
@@anoja31 I just told them the truth, that We were told that the American servers we're closing with no prior warning, There was no warning signs that they we're closing the servers since they even pushed out new content. I told them that I sent in a ticket asking if my account could be transferred to the Asian servers and they refused. Essentially deleting my account. we we're under the assumption that the game would continue, people we're making purchases based on this assumption. This is completely unethical to just randomly shut down the servers without allowing us to transfer our information to another server (didn't write this part in the description just saying). they're essentially taking my recently spent money and running with it.
Anything within 90 days can get refunded I and currently going through my refund I been playing for a little less then a months and spent nearly $200 I pretty sure I’m getting it back I’m not to worried now I want to still play the game

Those who are playing on iOS, you can message apple and request refund for max half a year spendings. I did that when one of the games I played shut down and they returned everything.

Games like this unfortunately don't last forever. When you invest, you are aware that one day it will end 😭 I played khux for years, spent money and was part of one of the highest ranked guilds... Hey WB, I’m your attempt to make more profits, you’re undercutting the brand, and the exposure to the brand which would bring in more money, even if the game isn’t making enough. The other HP items I buy because I love HP has mostly come from playing the game. The game keeps people engaged in the brand which makes you more money in the long run than not having the game and pissing people off. But it looks like the company isn’t smart enough to play the long game. Good luck in having anyone trust your brand again.

This is so utterly stupid. I waited since i sa3w the video of the singing sorting hat to play this game. I enjoyed playing this game (despite it's not perfect at all and the last couple of seasons were a bit boring), i didn't spend money on this game, but i played every day since the 28th of june of last year. I won't be able to play it any longer, since I am going to buy a new telephone....Now they are shutting the servers because they don't earn enough money? Never spending my money on anything Warner Bros Related again. I feel sorry for any future Harry Potter games that might look cool. As much as I hope NetEase takes over, I doubt it. In order for them to take over, WB needs to co-operate. But considering that it's WB, it's highly unlikely that this happens. I really hope they do take over but it's not likely.

I’ve redownloaded the game by changing regions but whenever I try to open it up it plays the intro for a second and the app just closes. Did this happen to you too? Or when I try to change the server it just closes in me as well
They also shut down Wizards Unite the same way. Portkey and Warner Brothers have lost all credibility with me.

Ask your banks for refunds. Tell them WB scammed you after making it sound like the game will be alive for years.
I already requested a refund and said it was due to fraud I spent nearly $200 in three week I wan only on the game for mayb e a month when I payed my last payment they sent a letter saying all the bs seriously think we should take them out of business if every one of us that payed writhing last 90 days get refund from Apple the game is no longer on the Apple app so obviously the game don’t exist anymore so I should get my refund I’m not to worried but I do wanna try and get on the other servers

Games shut down all the time. What makes this worse then most is that we pvp against another server that's staying up and WB didn't even bother to work something out to transfer the accounts to NE. Google/Apple needs to have this situation explained why refunds are 100% valid.

Before we didn't have keys were using the book rolls. Before we didn't have those gacha events only wheels and direct sales of clothes, same as monthly cards 680 of jewel. All of our wands and outfits have special effects to make them look even cooler.

@@Perfecteditss change your region on App Store or download an APK. I’m personally liking NE better than WB (I restarted, and judging by where I am now, I’ll probably sb 75 by the time I reach year 4, compared to my previous sb 67).

NetEase doesn't usually shut down games. NE has had great success with this game and still has tons of competition. So I don't think they will shut down the game anytime soon like WB did. Frankly, the WB server has been dead for months, even though it's a newer version than TW.

So just a small update for anyone who recently spent money on the game, try requesting a refund for any purchases you made. I sent 27 refund requests (totaling around $600 that i spent within the last two months) i was just refunded everything by apple.
my purchases went as far back as July 2nd by the way. hope this helps. good luck yall.

@@anoja31 I just told them the truth, that We were told that the American servers we're closing with no prior warning, There was no warning signs that they we're closing the servers since they even pushed out new content. I told them that I sent in a ticket asking if my account could be transferred to the Asian servers and they refused. Essentially deleting my account.
we we're under the assumption that the game would continue, people we're making purchases based on this assumption. This is completely unethical to just randomly shut down the servers without allowing us to transfer our information to another server (didn't write this part in the description just saying). they're essentially taking my recently spent money and running with it.
Anything within 90 days can get refunded I and currently going through my refund I been playing for a little less then a months and spent nearly $200 I pretty sure I’m getting it back I’m not to worried now I want to still play the game

Those who are playing on iOS, you can message apple and request refund for max half a year spendings. I did that when one of the games I played shut down and they returned everything.

Games like this unfortunately don't last forever. When you invest, you are aware that one day it will end 😭 I played khux for years, spent money and was part of one of the highest ranked guilds... Hey WB, I’m your attempt to make more profits, you’re undercutting the brand, and the exposure to the brand which would bring in more money, even if the game isn’t making enough. The other HP items I buy because I love HP has mostly come from playing the game. The game keeps people engaged in the brand which makes you more money in the long run than not having the game and pissing people off. But it looks like the company isn’t smart enough to play the long game. Good luck in having anyone trust your brand again.

This is so utterly stupid. I waited since i sa3w the video of the singing sorting hat to play this game. I enjoyed playing this game (despite it's not perfect at all and the last couple of seasons were a bit boring), i didn't spend money on this game, but i played every day since the 28th of june of last year. I won't be able to play it any longer, since I am going to buy a new telephone....Now they are shutting the servers because they don't earn enough money? They are basically pushing away 2 continents and a half of players. Good job WB, first you do bad games (Suicide Squad) and then you cut off players from good games. Quick question for those who play the Netease version of the game and on their PC. Do I need to worry about the Netease version of HPMA downloading virus or something of the sorts on to my PC if I choose to download it on my PC? I’ve never played any of Netease’s games before and I had previously played the WB version of HPMA on my phone.
