One of if not the best show of all time in my opinion. Best thing I've ever seen.
It really encapsulates what this show IS. All of this shit could be avoided, but all of the characters make decisions that contributed to it, without even meaning to.
Mel putting down her ring implies that she choose pitover (the city she built) over her mom/hometown (noxus). It was also shown that the painting mel did (which is noxus by the way) was painted over by herself as well.

Incredible how such a small detail can portray such a wide array of emotions and thoughts going through his head at that exact moment. Having his lifelong dream in his grasp and having secured his nation of Zaun, only to have that be ripped away with Jayce saying "And I need Jinx".
I only caught it the second time I watched the series. This level of attention to detail is unheard of and completely astonishing. All these small details make this show so incredibly good and even better when rewatching it.
Did you see his tongue poke his cheek when Jayce said it would be a slaughter?

I agree, the facial expressions and body language just brought to life. Especially the eyes my god, it’s like they have a soul. I mean silco’s eyes during the deal, jinx’s eyes going dead when she realizes her father is gone, cait staring at Vi in the alleyway and in her room. Just some of the big ones where the eyes express everything. No other animation studio I’ve seen does such a good job and capturing this on Cg not even the big Disney owned cg studios. Each expression is so fluid, nuanced and detailed without being uncanny. I think it’s why people feel these characters so much as if they were real and telling their stories. The camera work as well, it’s like you are always near or in the scene with the characters since it just follows them so closely and intimately. I definitely feel this Really another level and hope it sets a precedent in the industry.

these guys always have issues understanding the perspective of different characters, jayce didn't stop fighting cuz he'd get his ass whooped by vi, he stopped cuz he felt his ideals were being trampled on by his own actions

And Silco literarily did what Vander did they both died instead of giving their family up but Silco couldn't see that in the beginning.
I think it's bc after Vander's betrayal, Silco had nothing left to lose (on a personal level) at the beginning. Now he has a daughter, and suddenly he's in the exact same spot Vander was in, having to choose what matters more to him.

silco once said vander was weak because he didn't give Vi to the enforcers, later silco understood why Vander was so weak because he was also weak himself, he couldn't give Jinx to the Council, because he considers her as his daughter. Silco loves who she is, even the Jinx. And Vi only loves Powder, not Jinx.
That's not why he said Vander was weak. Vander was stuck between war and giving up his daughter and could choose neither, he eventually gave himself up instead. And in this moment so was Silco, except Silco couldn't give himself up.
Umm no Silco loves Jinx. Not powder. He did all he could to dissuade her from going back that way. For his own selfish reasons. Lets not get it twisted

There is a lack of discussion for the trauma Vi's been through. It bugs me when I see people bashing on her for abusing Powder and "creating" Jinx (to be fair it bothers me when either get shit on, because they're both highly traumatized individuals of shitty circumstances) because Vi was a child who was pushed into a parental role even before her parents were killed.
Her entire life revolved around protecting Powder, and then when she sees her father figure and brother figures die, almost dying herself, she breaks. I think it says a lot about how strong she is that even though she slapped Powder and then left, she immediately tried to return to protect her when she saw Silco approaching, even though she was wounded, exhausted, and was massively outnumbered.
And not only all that, but then she promptly is thrown in jail for years, where she is regularly beaten, is broken out by an enforcer and learns just how much has changed. The world has left her behind, and she's essentially being used by Caitlyn. Her perspective of the world is stunted and she only has a few days to figure things out--so her flip-flopping between goals and ideals is not unexpected. Ultimately when saving Powder fails, she falls back to her secondary core drive--killing Silco--and her only consistent means of accomplishing anything, violence.
One of the guys said it I a previous reaction, (or maybe it was a different reaction channel), but Vi is relentless in whatever she pursues. She doesn't take no for an answer and has the strongest will in the show.
Mel's back Gold was glowing before the rocket hit. It's in the same pattern as an item from League of Legends called "Locket of the Iron Solari". This item shields your entire team when you activate it. Mel is type of G to have a built in self defense system.
I actually think this will be more like Zhonya. I assume all the council members will die apart from Mel Jayce and Viktor, and maybe Caitlyn's mom because in the lore she died in a different way

@@mysteryace2129 Perhaps, though considering Jayce’s reaction to Viktor being in the Undercity for a while, he would have decent reason to distrust her facts.
And Silco doesn’t know that _she_ knows Jinx’s face, so that’s not really a point against him trying to get one over on them. Either way, he would need to actually reign (Jinx) in to keep any further incidents featuring her from occurring when she’s supposed to be incarcerated.
Which, still, _might have_ been possible at this point… though for a higher chance, probably would have had to get her sent out of the city and changed her look to actually have it work.
Cookin’ up a plotline for how that could ever work, now that I’ve got this much down…
@alecLogan Caitlyn made a pledge to her city and is a devoted officer of the law while also being the daughter of a Council Woman and long time friends with Jayce who is also on the Council and the main person he put in charge of the investigation of the undercity in a secret mission. Jayce would listen to her opinion over Viktor and Caitlyn definitely would've snitched.
@@mysteryace2129 She’s a _fired_ “officer of the law” by the first time she met Vi, and technically isn’t back to being one even by the end of the season. She still intended to return the gem, since it’s important to Jayce and better left _out_ of the hands of a mad bomber, but that’s more out of pragmatism than loyalty to Piltover.
And, again, this is based on contextual knowledge, that Silco does *not* have. Him being honorable here is entirely on _him_ , more than it’s on any awareness of Caitlyn.

I love jinx’s character because it’s not fully her fault but it’s not fully everyone else’s fault. Her character is a tragedy and a dam good one. You have to look at this from powder’s perspective, you don’t have to support her actions but you need to try to see how she became jinx.
Plus the themes with all the parents pretty much confirms silco did love jinx as a daughter for those not convinced.

depends on how the future seasons will go but so far this show is defs up there with Avatar: TLA as the best (non-anime) animated series. League has so many characters and in-depth lore that they could mess with, im genuinely excited for this shows future
I will a gree once they have a few more seasons. It could be one of the Goats if they don't get too blinded by it's success and stop putting the care and attention to detail in it

Vi isn’t perfect but she was mad and sad and had just experienced so much loss before she called powder jinx and she’s also young. That was a bad example to use. I think all the characters are great. No need to down one to like the other. They’re all complex and interesting.

Vi isn’t complex maybe she will be next season but there’s no layers to her characters yet.

Its important to remember that Vi had every intention of coming back for Powder after Vander's death. (Even I missed that on the first watch) But she was taken away by an enforcer at the last second. After leaving prison she never gave up on Powder, no matter who told her to give up on her sister.
I think that really destroyed Vi, seeing how helpless she was to stop Powder's fall into Jinx.
And you know what? I think Powder is still in there. Obviously she's still going to have some attachment to Vi. I don't see how her actions are going to completely cut ties. I know Kaitlyn gonna be fucked up cause her mom was in the tower. Vi is just going to accept her as Jinx probably.
Also I spoiled myself by looking at the League roster and saw what Victor turns into and DAMN. Cool as fuck. Sad that he becomes something a younger him would have feared. BUT STILL COOL AS FUCK!
The point of Jayce at the beginning is not because he killed a kid, is because he understood what will happen in a war between Piltover and the undercity and that many innocent will suffer. He understoode the cruelty of war, thats why he changed his mind.

When Vi starts shouting names at Jinx, Silco knew it was hurting her rather than helping Her, that's why he was telling her to stop. The saddest thing is, when they were kids, Powder killed her own family, Vi punched her and left her. When Jinx accidentally killed Silco, he didn't get angry at her, instead told her she is perfect and not to be sad. What a way to go out man :( rip Silco

After reading the files of Vi imprisonment inside LoL game I'm fucking pissed at how everyone likes to blame her and say that she didn't love her sister. Vi spent almost 8 years inside Stillwater, without any hope of getting out of there 'cause Marcus was paying the prison to keep her inside as a secret for god knows how long. She was constantly being beaten up and at the same time fighting everyone who came from the undercity to have some clue about what happened to Powder. Guards thought she was obsessed with a 'substance' when she was just calling for her own sister. Of course Silco's love is portrayed better than Vi's if he had all those years besides Jinx, listening at how she was struggling with her past but also feeding her the idea that "everyone betrays us Jinx, you only have me, nobody loves you but me" when in reality Vi was inside a prison obsessed with knowing about her sister. In any other relationship, if someone is constantly telling you that you shouldn't trust no one else but them and that everyone will turn their back on you but them is pretty fucking toxic. Why y'all act like it's a beautiful love lol
Vi didn't try to hard to convince jinx she loves her still. In the end after jinx said I thought u could still love me vi stayed quiet and let her leave. She left her for Cait on the bridge and then again silco came to get jinx. She could have tried harder many times.

Everything that could have been said after her speech was useless, it wouldn't change her mind. That's why we are going to have a season 2 so they have more time to deal with things.

So she left without taking her and then Silco came. As a big sister myself it was not the best she could have done. You protect your younger siblings and love them unconditionally. It's just like the song they played at the end she was the monster she created. Can't convince me otherwise. That's exactly what they portrayed in this story. Jinx could have been avoided but then there would be no story. BRUH

@@kbonheur About the specific bridge scene, she could just let Ekko help Caitlyn(In the end even it was Ekko who was supposed to bring the crystal) and stayed in the bridge with jinx, makes even more sense from the standpoint of her also caring for Ekko and wanting him to be safe as well
I think it's a little unfair to put the whole blame on Vi. Yes, she said Powder was a jinx, but she had just lost Vander and all of her friends (who were more like brothers to her), and she was quite young as well. Also, Vi was going back to Powder later if it weren't for Marcus.
The only thing Vi was "wrong" about is that she didn't see Jinx, she didn't understand that Powder's past was so traumatic and sad. Jinx still loves Vi, that's why in the end Jinx/Powder killed Silco, in her head he was going to shoot at her sister. Powder has just changed.
Vi was wrong to leave Powder behind, full stop. Ofc in the moment it’s obviously better than beating her sister up, but those were definitely not the only two options. Ofc she was young herself, but honestly a lot of this story can be traced back to her own bad decisions, which is also the case with literally every other character.

I think it's fine to hold both of them accountable. People pointing out Vi's wrong is totally fine, the blood on Powder's hands was bad enough but to have her sister abandon her while she had clear signs of trauma was the icing on the cake. Powder made a horrible decision getting involved so it's like 1 fault to both of them, but it's totally understandable.

This show was such a outstanding achievement for league of legends! The music was so hard for that scene. Can’t wait for season 2! Jinx was so scary and amazing, She is my favorite character including Vi

Think about it y’all. Heimerdinger had 300 YEARS to try and help the undercity, and perfect magic. Everyone in the council except for Mel, Jayce, and Vic got what they deserve.
“We will show them. We will show them all.” Such a great line by Silco.
Notice how Mel look behind and then her golden plates on her back glow before the rocket hits? Well, I leave it up to you guys. That implies something.
Edit: And remember Little Man(Ekko) on episode one, Clogger asked where he found out about that place (the building that blew up). Then Ekko also said something like "the guy bought some junk and he paid in 'gold'! He didn't even HAGGLE!"
Now Silco said the same thing, "the boy didn't even haggle".
Yea that was a good call back. Jayce and Cait are carrying the stuff he bought from ekko in the beginning of episode 2

These dudes talk as if Jinx deliberately killed everyone, do not forget that at that moment she also lost her entire family and at this difficult moment, including for herself, the only one who remained with her, the one who always protected her , was her support, turned against her and hated her. How, after such a shit, being seven years old (like this is her age) stay mentally healthy?
Doesn't change the fact that she literally killed them as a product of disobeying Vi. Like there's mistakes and then there is directly causing the death of 3 of your family members. Even blowing up at her Vi was showing remarkable restraint.

*Jinx didn't want to kill Silco* she shot by reflex, *but she regretted immediately,* she loves Vi and by reflex she saved her, yes, *BUT* she didn't wanted to kill Silco, her father, because she truly loves him deeply too. *the producers of the series said that she shot by reflex, which is why she instantly regretted once she realize what she just did.* That's what's so tragic. She was also having a psychotic attack when she shot.

I get what you guys are saying about silco but at the same time he’s part of the reason why vi couldn’t get through to jinx because he kept filling her head with lies and telling her that vi replaced her when she didn’t, and ever since vi got out of prison her number 1 priority has been to get her sister back. I think In season 2 we are going see vi and jinx attempt to repair their relationship now that silco is gone.
If you guys love this show, I would highly highly recommend checking out riot's other animated videos or performances. I know you guys love great music and performances. If there is one thing that riot games is known for is making absolute banger animated shorts and music videos. Some recommendations are the worlds 2019 opening ceremony (Guaranteed to blow you away), Awaken, Warriors 2014 and 2019, All the KDA songs, True Damage-Giants, and Phoenix.

My personal favorite songs were the Jinx and Vi theme songs. There's a youtube mashup with two girls playing the roles of the sisters from their theme songs and it's amazing. I suggest to everyone who hasn't seen them, listen to the Jinx theme, the Vi theme, then search for the Jinx/Vi mashup, it's amazing.
Jinx striked once again. In act one when everyone was about to escape from Silco but Jinx screwed everything up with her monkey bombs.
And now in the last episode when everyone is agreed for peace but she once again screwed everything up by killing Silco and then councils. She is truly a jinx.

also enjoy the parallel with episode 3, where in both situations Jinx thinks she’s doing the right thing or helping some she loves but in reality her interfering is just turning what was to be a good situation very very bad. No matter how much we love her, she truly is a jinx.
Well the deal was that Silico need to give up Jinx and he said that he will never do that so in the end even if she didn't kill them there wouldn't be peace between them

@@rissa3163 I could have made that much clearer now that I went back and read it myself but I was voice texting basically I was picking on Rob because he said that VI never went back to try to save her when she clearly did but got kidnapped and then locked up for years then as soon as she gets out that was technically one of her main missions was to find her but according to him that never happened.
@@NeoGuyver2 Rob just has shit takes. He was talking about how Vi did wrong in not loving Jinx unconditionally and not going back to get her, yet he was the first to cheer on Vi when she hit Jinx out of rage after the explosion.

Love isn’t just “accepting”, it’s helping someone get to their greater good. Silco cultivated/accepted powders craziness and used her at first as a tool but it’s not necessarily her greater good, he was trying to build up hate and revenge in her for his own selfish purpose Then began to grow a love for her as a daughter and loved her for her chaotic self. If vi was more understanding she could have helped powder be sane, which is the loving thing to do since jinx is obviously a threat to herself and to others. Amazing show
this series was so well done that it felt like real story, about real people, living a real life in real places. RIP Silco was a legend. This characters will always have a spot in my hearth. I'm clapping with you.

I love how when she fire that rocket she embraced a name that was used to belittle her. But now, Silco is dead and powder is, so the events that played out in the past was the past. She's cured of her trauma, she was already smart, but being a jinx makes her dangerous.
Silco hits hard this episode, I didn't expect that from him. In the end he always loved Jinx just like how Vander loved Vi, Powder, Milo and Clogger this show is a masterpiece fuck.

I love the Silco scene so much when his #2 could have killed him. I believe that had he tried to stop her then she would have killed him but him letting her make her own decision showed her that he has a backbone to lead.

Vi has in game ability to gain a shield after attacking so when they did that during her fight that was actually very hype
what jinx did couldn't just cover by just "fuck up", she killed all VI's family and everything she had. So I think one slap in face is just about fair. What else do we expect from VI at that moment? Cuddle powder say its alright you just killed our Step-daddy?

Yall made some solid points but I think there is so idealistic thinking like:" I would be there for my sister if she did that to my family." You don't really know that until your actually in that situation and ones you love die. So I see why Vi did what she did and how powder became jinx. They are both kids too so take that into consideration you think that at that age you would be able to actually make coherent decisions when you go through trauma? i don't think so.
If Rob wasn't in certain reactions RT TV did the reactions would be so good and we wouldn't have to hear Rob fanboying for Jake/Logan Paul.
Just to clarify, that boy wasn't on shimmer. He wasn't in the shimmer suit fighting. He just got caught between all the fighting. He was the boy who alerted the shimmer security.

A thing most people I’ve seen miss, with that moment where Vi kept telling Jinx to remember who she is, Silco understood that it was actually hurting her instead of helping. He recognizes that Jinx’s past is something that actively harms her, something that Vi who can only see her as Powder fails to recognize. This is why Silco fires at Vi, and it also circles back to Vi’s story of imaginary monsters. Also, man, notice, unlike Vi who freaking punched Powder when she accidentally killed Mylo and Claggor, here with Silco she doesn't berate or blame her for what she did. He instead comforts her and affirms that she's perfect the way she is. It's fucking sad man, how dare they make me cry for the man who did so many heinous shit.
I know what you're aiming at and I see what you mean, but telling someone who is a literal terrorist that they're "perfect" is not something good.
Vi punched Powder because she was mad, you talk about it like Vi isn't affected by literally the same thing as Powder, which is getting her family killed, caused by her sister who she told to stay home and not come. Emotions rage through her and she punches out of anger, she didn't want to actively hurt Powder, it just came out by the fact that she got her entire family killed for not listening to her.
Silco telling Jinx that she's "perfect" is exactly what made Powder go in trying to help, Vi always backed her up telling her she was ready, that she could do stuff and acting as if none of what happened at the heist was her fault.

The ring was representing where she came from (it's the same crest). So she was giving up on her family's name to go towards something peaceful unlike her mom.
at the end, the hinting of mels gold plate armor on her body probably means something. league has so many champions from different regions wielding unique abilities. she will probably shield them all/most of them

The thing about the little kid is that Jayce thought he was one of the shim things it’s kinda like a hallucination where he got caught up in the moment. This makes him against going to war since he now realizes what Mel meant.

I love this channel, I have a very dark theory to tell everyone not sure if people has noticed this; remember when lil Viktor met the scientist and the giant salamander in the cave. The scientist (Singe) stated "This is Rio, ""SHE"" has a rare mutation." Now here's the kicker remember when Jinx was dying and Silco took her to the scientist and said "She can't die, She won't die," and the scientist put Silco to sleep and said "I TOO, ONCE HAD A DAUGHTER!!!!" He mutated his own daughter, and kepted her alive so he could create the shimmers. I just wanted to be the first to state this theory!!!

Now you guys finished Arcane you should watch the League of Legends cinematics like Warriors, Get Jynxed and Warwick: The Wrath of Zaun (this last one is important for the second season)
There is one person that Mel's mom could be referencing when it comes to Noxus and the person who killed her son. The first one that comes to mind is Swain, who in League of Legends is the Grand General & Leader of Noxus, that started a rebellion/coup against one of the biggest noble houses, winning, and becoming the Grand General. At this point in time in the story though, the Darkwill House is probably the strongest, but Swain's influence is probably growing still. In Noxus, strength is everything. Mel's family, which is of Noxian nobility is losing its power, which is why the mom wants the hextech power before they get wiped out. Mel's family is probably one of the lower noble houses as well.

Bruh Vi didn't leave Powder. Marcus snatched her and imprisoned her. Silco only took Powder in to groom her manipulate her and turn her into a weapon to fight Piltover. I think people are forgetting just how many episodes we watched him literally lie to her and blatantly try to manipulate her especially against her sister. Telling her that Vi wasn't there for her that she's there for the crystal. Vi didn't even know what it was. And that's just one example 😂
In Silco's defense he thought that Vi was dead because Marcus may have told Silco that. Because when Sevika (or whatever her names) went to his office and told him that Vi is back he was totally shocked.
