Honestly even better than the cinematics, checking out the roster page on the official website might give you a ton more love for the characters! Especially looking through the skin/abilities etc. Hopefully we get that Arcane Season 2 SOON!

The Star Guardian storyline has a very well written story- the chat was wrong. Xayah and Rakan weren't evil. Xayah was corrupted by Zoe and in the Light and Shadow trailer, she was forced to hunt down Neeko. Ahri on the other hand was the leader of the team comprising of all 4 of them. She had thought Zoe had killed everyone (you can see she's looking at the star guardian stones), but Neeko had survived. There's a very tragic plotline that happens afterwards which I won't spoil if you're interested in reading it on the site.
I’m not a League fan, but watching those cinematics is starting to convince me to watch Arcane. In fact, I’m going to check it out while Roger’s on his trip. The music in those trailers is amazing, and that Amumu trailer almost made me cry. (Edit) Just finished Arcane. Holy mackerel! Y’all were right! It is a fantastic series! It has got to be the darkest animated program I’ve seen besides anime. Episodes 3 and 9 nearly brought me to tears. I’m glad I watched it!
Whether your into League or not (I myself don't play League at all) go watch it. It's straight up an awesome show. It just happens to have LOL characters.
1:56:32 Aatrox: When you realize that the only reason why Aatrox screams so much is because he is terrified of not being heard, the only reason he kills is out of pure despair and in search of the slightest grim of hope that maybe someone can destroy him and his blade, and when you realize that the reason why he has so many quotes in the 3rd person is because he's afraid of being alone... such a sad character, From The strongest Hero That has been born, to a Betrayed Madman who has lost hope even in death, carried now only by his former pride... The thing about the “Fight or be forgotten” line is… Old Aatrox told this to his enemies. New Aatrox tells this to himself. If he stop fighting, he reverts into prison… In the dark, hungry, unable to breath, unable to scream… Just a sword, buried and… Forgotten.
Just some additional lore for Aatrox. He was originally an Ascended like Azir and Nasus but became corrupted by blood magic and became a Darkin. I forgot some of the parts but he ended up being trapped in his own sword along with the other Darkin like Rhaast, Varus and Naafiri. He can take over anyone who decides to touch him due to his indomitable will. Another side effect of being trapped in his sword is that he can't die. His host can be killed or separated from him but he is immortal and he absolutely hates it.
Apart from the many videos missing from the list, most people also missed on the whole rise of sentinels series of stories. There are four videos in the series that sums up the story that leads to Absolution. Akshan's narration is just top tier. The guy who made the list pretty much omitted a lot of the good stuffs that you want which provides lore.
@@ryye1829Late to the party, but from what I remember what people hated was the way they were fed the storyline at the time of release, I remember you had to grind an insane amount to get the next chapter of the story, there were tons of complaints about that; I don’t think I saw many people disliked the story itself, the cinematics and the Akshan recap videos weren’t what people hated
First time viewer here, I gotta respect the dedication. As much as Riot has some insanely high quality teasers/trailers/showcases etc, the fact that you made it trough all of it in one sitting (+ you went out of your way to look some of the champs up as well) is worth the like and sub. Keep it up!

I've played league since season 3 and mostly been into the characters and lore and play casually the game and love TFT ( that's a spinoff game that's more your style i think and has the same characters and regular updates + competitive play ) Awesome to see this!! That was pretty rude of Matt Houston to Ban Monkey in the chat 1:33:46 even if it was a temporary one. All they said was that the charcter that Matt called a Himbo tank and Monkey corrected him because Roger said "Really, he doesn't look like a tank", and in the process tried to help Roger understand what's going on and fix the communicationthat Matt started, which then he had typed the same thing Monkey had said seconds earlier. (Roger asked chat to help inform him on the charcters, the world's lore, and that it was fine.) Monkey also asked to please not at after he did exact same thing he said at the same time, and after the ban unnecessarily challenged him to see how quickly he could ban him. Thankfully I don't watch the live streams anymore (Even though I have been enjoying his content ever since I found his channel back when he destroyed Double4Anime years ago), because if someone like Matt Houston who can't even understand a joke that Roger made about liking Warwick and afterwards spams the chat with fully capitalized words for no reason, and later gets an ego and bans Monkey. No thank you, all that starts is a toxic community where mods get too egotistical, abuse their power, and power trip. In the process all that does is make people uncomfortable being in the chat and even talking or joking in chat. Then later on when Monkey's temporary Ban ends Monkey talked about what Roger was watching and didn't show any hostility, even after being unrightfully banned. 1:37:24 Then for no reason Matt comes in again and threatens him to apologize (For literally doing nothing wrong) or he will Ban him which Monkey rightfully so, yikes. Matt then proceeds to Ban him and said "That wasn't an option, enjoy". Shortly after that multiple people in chat finally call out Matt for him Power Tripping, which he then says He's not. Either Matt is so far gone in the power tripping sauce and is truly ignorant to his own mistakes or he's just an bad person, that should no longer have that control of being a moderator, and should be a VIP instead, since he did help Roger put this playlist together. At least that's what Roger had said/implied. 1:59:51 Now we have another Mod Ricky_Cocaine either being ignorant and didn't understand the full context of what happend early, or they're another Mod that Power Trips people in Roger's chats on his streams and enjoy doing so. 😮💨 These Mods really need to learn that they representatives of Roger's streams, and should Moderate his live streams or other things that they may be moderating, by making sure the chat/place is a welcome and enjoyable place to be/chat, without the fear of being banned for no reason, and that the chat will not have/ban people that are hostile for no reason, spam, a bot, Racist, TOS, or breaking rules and bringing negative vibes that should have no place being there. It's unfortunate, especially since Roger is such an entertaining individual. 😩
@@firefoyx I usually like to watch the chat converse and react with me and see how differently or the same our reactions are to the content, but when the chat isn't moderated properly, it's not fun being in chat or reading it, and is just a horrible time in general, that's usually when I would close chat and lose a little respect for the content creator themselves, because it's their responsibility to manage that.

God, everyone who mindlessly screams "NOXUS BAD!" is so dumb. Yes, they're conquers but that isn't an inherently evil thing. It's not like Noxus is against diplomacy, no they prefer it! If they can talk you into joining their empire then they will, less blood spilled meaninglessly means more blood to spill in service of the empire. The only "bad" part about it is that they don't give you a choice, but there's a good reason for that, and most places that Noxus conquers experience increased prosperity anyway. They're not selfish assholes, they want you to be strong so if you'll join them they'll gladly share the wealth. I know we're all red and blue-blooded Americans and freedom has no price and blah blah blah blah- the world of Runeterra is fucked okay? Take all the problems our world had- slavery, war, poverty, sickness- the whole shebang, right? Then crack open an entire fantasy world's laundry list of problems and you'll get a pretty good idea of what the bad side of Runterra looks like. There's basically a cataclysmic event with the potential to end life as they know it every Tuesday. So yeah, we can all sit here in our nice comfy chairs and criticize the Noxian's methods but at some point, you've gotta look at things pragmatically. Swain knows that everything they've experienced - The Runewars, The Ruination, The Void- it's all nothing compared to what's coming. He needs to unify the people, all of Runterra, if they're to have a chance. But unity alone won't be enough, they need to be strong, and sometimes, strength requires sacrifice.
First time watching a video from you. I really enjoyed seeing someone reacting to all the league trailer and world building content (I play league since 2011 myself) but to be honest you really screamed a lot and that sometimes made the video less enjoyable for me to watch. I look foreward to see some other stuff from you in the future and maybe that time with a little bit less noise, if that would be possible. Please dont take that as hate or something like that. Sad your guy skipped the World's 2015 music video and K/DA The Baddest and Drum Go Dumb to add to the list. World's Collide was personal fav world's song, since it shows alot of moments from the pro scene to get one hyped. But you should definitely check out champion themes and Opening Ceremonies
Man seeing old starguardian and odyssey cinematics makes me so nostalgic for those events. By far the two coolest things League has ever done. The PvE modes were fire. ^^
This was absolutely outstanding and really showed how much love and effort the cinematic team puts in their work. It all makes you want to know more of the lore of Leage.
"Virtual hip-hop group True Damage was born when K/DA's lead rapper Akali sought to bring together the distinct talents of Ekko, Senna, Qiyana, and Yasuo in an ambitious, genre-defying collaboration." So basically Akali did K/DA and then did a side project finding singers to form True Damage but she's still a member of K/DA too. True Damage was actually Senna's launch skin and she also eventually got a Prestige version of the skin (which is basically a shiny gold upgraded version) and it was a collaboration with Louis Vuitton, as was Qiyana's Prestige version which came out before Senna's. Yasuo also eventually got a Prestige version which was a collaboration with a Japanese fashion brand A Bathing Ape. Seraphine wasn't received well by some parts of the community due to her seemingly being designed like a revamped Sona, and a lot of players think her kit is way too easy to use and abuse. On top of that, Riot essentially created a "real" version of Seraphine on social media to promote her game launch and pretty much her entire design and brand was based around K/DA. People argued that she didn't feel like a genuine champion because of all that and that Riot was "trying too hard" to push her. And to add even more to that, her launch skin was an "ultimate" level skin, which is the highest tier skin in the game design and price-wise, and it was also a K/DA skin with three different versions to it. Lots of people felt it wasn't up to par with being an "ultimate" skin like some we've gotten in the past and it also wasn't fair that her very first skin was an "ultimate" skin when there are so few of them in the game.
I don't know why your chat speaks so much without knowing anything, but the kids on the wall in the ekko trailer are NOT the guys from arcane. Arcane isn't canon, in league lore Ekko is part of a group called Lost Children of Zaun. Although when Ekko was getting released, Arcane was already in the making, so in game he has a voiceline towards Jinx "I had a crush, before you started talking to the gun"
Having watched the whole thing its crazy seeing what they took from each trailer and used to make Arcane. Like the small bits of Ryzes story, the bits from Jinx and Ekko's videos, and the whole Caitlyn x Vi thing came from fans shipping them after the Warriors video. Before that Caitlyn and Vi were just police officers in Piltover and the Vi/Jinx sister thing was mostly Vi trying to catch Jinx who was a bankrobber type character. The slowly put in voice lines where Jinx, Vi, and Caitlyn would reference each other for years before Arcane was even announced.
love the reaction, I can't with the chat telling misinformation LMAO, like the regions in Awaken are actually Noxus Ionia and Piltover, and someone said it was Ionia and Demacia when he asked if that was piltover haha Yeah, the world itself and the lore and characters are better than the game itself, I feel a like a child whenever a cinematic comes out, that's why I'm hyped about the MMO. Also, there are another 2 kda songs, a missing star guardian trailer called a new horizon and some tales of runeterra cinematics missing. I would watch your ruined king gameplay, though it would be better if you play it off stream for the spoiler people. The ruination event with the sentinels of light isn't really canon, it was just an ingame event to sell the sentinels and ruined skins, the canon version of Viego's story is on the rpg game. Also there's a trailer for a ruination book if you could check it out, the book comes out next month. There's tons of readeable content including comics in collab with marvel, Riot also is doing an MMO and in 2020 they hired people for live action tv shows and movies production, so expect a really big expansion in the future

Not only does he scream, but he talks over the videos and reads chat without stopping them, thereby missing a lot of things. I mean, for the music videos it doesn't matter, but for all the rest, it's kinda frustrating, he could learn things by paying attention but instead he learns it three or four videos later thanks to those in the chat.

Oh God, how annoying to see the dumb Seraphine hate train trying to influence a new person getting into the lore. I'm glad you didn't listen to them, those people who till this day still call her Sona 2.0 have never played her. Her gameplay doesn't look nor feel like Sona's AT ALL in-game, they just share the music theme, although executed in very different ways. She wasn't annoying in-game either and her marketing wasn't weird, it was really dedicated and creative. It was the fanbase who started making it weird. People are just mad that a cutesy, girly pink haired popstar character was released and with such an insane amount of marketing on top of it, because apparently everything that's targeted at "e-girls" as they call it is automatically trash. It's this phenomenon again where people diminish all things that a lot teen girls like (out of sexism ofc) like boybands and that kind of stuff. People were purposefully looking for reasons to hate on her since day 1 because they just hate fun and strongly girly things. Really an example of how toxic this fanbase can be, we Seraphine players actually get harassed by the haters too just because we like her and play her 🙃
There are plenty of valid reasons to dislike her. The main reason I don't like her, personally, is that she feels like she belongs in an alternate universe skin line. He aesthetic doesn't really fit the base game at all. I never engaged with the marketing, because I'm not on social media, so I can't really comment on it. As for the comparisons to Sona, I always get annoyed when a new champion gets released that is just X champ but better. She is half of Sona (big wide CC ult and a healing circle) and half artillery mage (two long range, non-targeted damage abilities). So she is similar, but better in most circumstances. I get why people feel like she was supposed to be the "new Sona," even if it isn't really accurate. There. Hopefully this less aggressive, non-incel, and thoughtful criticism gives you a baseline to work from. I know this is a year old video and I mean this with utmost respect. As much as I love seeing people react to LoL cinematics, can you please use the PAUSE button when you wanna talk or look at chat ? It's a bit frustrating to watch you say how you want to learn more about the lore and just flat out talk over the said lore. And then proceed to ask chat, of which would most likely give you mixed or false info. That being said, I appreciate you putting in 4hrs of diving into cinematics! LoL has a very deep and interesting lore, just hoping you'd pause when you talk if you truly wanna tune into it.
have to correct this thing about Kayn, Raask/Death Scythe is actually one of the alien species in Runeterra, every darkin in runeterra are sealed as weapon, additional darkin characters are Aatrox, and Varus. Demons have their own stories in Runeterra, just to note, Darkins are not Demons, Example of Demons are Evelynn, Tahm Kench, Fiddlesticks, Yone, Raum/Beatrice (Swain's Raven), and Nocturne, Demon's stories, shines in the Region of Ionia, but it also in all of the region of runeterra.
What needs to be remembered, especially looking at a lot of chatters, is that when someone's talking about the Evil Region it's spelled "D-E-M-A-C-I-A". I mean Noxus is also evil as are all empires including Shurima, but if Demacia didn't have a King they'd have a Hitler.

People who were saying Noxus is evil and Darius is bad don't really understand LoL lore. The lore is not that black and white, there is a lot of morally grey. He is a man who performs some arguably bad actions, but generally with good intentions.
ooh about the seraphine incident, i do think that she should be hated that much, but they did mess her up bad at the beginning. the one thing that kind of started it off is that she was teased as a virtual social media person which was fine at first, there was a lot of us who kinda liked that new way of introducing a champion. and then when things were going fine, people are interacting, having fun with this virtual influencer, they released a post saying how she was feeling down and she needs a cheer up. i forgot what it's called but basically a non-existing person is asking people to cheer her up from basically depression as if she's a real person. all of this is for marketing purposes, they are using real life problems like depression to garner interactions from people. that was kinda messed up. the rest followed were not that severe, but it just piled up, thus they started hating her cause people hated on her. some of these criticisms is that her character design was out of place for piltover/zaun, her story made her look bad (they edited that after but it was no help), her game play is similar to sona (and people have longed for an old champion like sona to get some rework), and that people said they disliked her gameplay as well. we do kinda like her kda skin and her newest skins are amazing, but these stuffs still linger and thus some people still hold on to hate her. i still don't like her as a character, but that's just me not liking her design and story. otherwise, i do think she don't deserve that much hate.

Seraphine hate came from these four reasons 1. Uncreative gameplay that's why she was compared to Sona. 2. Terribly Written Story for her main universe counterpart. 3. Feeling like she was just made to be a KDA skin. The reason for that is she got an Ultimate Skin in her first release while older characters don't get it. 4. Having a design that doesn't perfectly align region that she is in. I think there is more but that's the only thing that I remember.
You are really-really cool, but PLEASE, please, please, put the video on pause when you are looking away for a long period of time (like when you are reading the chat), cause you actually miss a lot of cool detailes of videos because of it. Its just frustrating to watch you missing them. You also do not listen to what characters are saying in most trailers (which could have answered half of the questions you asked). (i am not good in Aj so sorry for mistakes) some people from your chat told you really stupid things :D for example that darkins are demons.... have you seen the Shurima video, the sun disk what you saw there can summon incredible power in a person, they started creating these soldiers in Shurima. Azir who was in command of all died after being betrayed by Xerath and the army created by the sun disc had no commander + the battle of Icathia where these warriors fought against the void (after that battle their psyche was very bad because the void is explained in LoL as one of the greatest horrors) the warriors started doing whatever they wanted after they had no one to command them, so Soraka (one of the goddesses) sacrificed herself (gods could not be killed, but after she used this spell, got a physical body and now she can be killed) and trapped the 5 warriors in weapons these weapons were hidden all over the world so that no one would find them, but whoever found them would be controlled by Darkin. we know the three Darkins Aatrox (sword), Rhaast (scythe) and Varus (bow) demons are creatures that feed on feelings (fear, pain, greed, nightmares) the weakest are the Azakana then there is Tybaulk (the bear from Annie) even higher are Nocturne, Evelynn, Raum or Tahm Kench and on a completely different level even higher is Fiddlestick , until now not much was known about the demons, but now there is a new champion in the game called Nilah who made a contract with a demon from the top ten and she says something like "the main demons are not allowed to be released" so it is possible that the demons who are now in the physical world (demons are originally from the spirit realm) are only some part of their true power the last things I would like to say are that the demons are not the only ones I have listed, Tybaulk probably served Mordekaiser with one more demon and they should add other main demons to the game and the same with the god warriors there were more of them but Soraka only sealed the ones from who started to use their powers for evil, there is for example Nasus who is also this warrior but he is not a Darkin
Important to know that Darius and noxus are not in fact evil like a lot of these less well-versed individuals would have you believe. Noxus accepts everyone no matter their race, gender, sex, religion, whatever it may be, just so long as you are strong ebough or smart enough or cunning, etc, etc, etc. You have to be a part of society that functions and provides something to the nations. Damacia which many would have you to believe is the nice nation is far from righteous. They speak of honour yet never let anyone climb rank. Blood dictates all, if you are a warrior thats what you will remain, if you are a kind thats what you and your bloodline will continue to be. If you are a baker, you have no right to try to climb ranks with your skills bo matter what. And god forbid if you have magic you will be persecuted and massacred or imprisoned. They have this wierd pride where simply because they have a higher title, anyone underneath them wil br treated as scum. Noxus has no such desire to push people down. Only for the strong and worthy to rise, no matter what. But Ionia is the best region by far lol.
Arcane isn't cannon to the official League universe. In the official lore; Jayce is kind of an asshole, Vi and Jinx are not sisters, Vi and Jinx are two buddy-cops with no romantic involvement with eachother and Silko doesn't even EXIST.
The excuse that people don't play the game because the playerbase is supposedly so toxic is pure nonsense. The game just isn't as fun anymore. I hate seeing people take the responsibility away from the developers only to load it off on the fans who have so strict behaviour regulations put on them that theres literally impossible to be actually toxic without having your account automatically banned. The playerbase is unable to be toxic because typing a single bad word will have your account automatically banned. The worst a person can do is call you bad, but no one should be deluded about that, being bad is something everyone start off as, if someone says it then you should just shame them for smurfing, not take it personally. I don't play the game anymore but like the world like many others, but the idea that toxicity has anything to do with why people don't like the game is nothing but an old overplayed internet fairytale. The game isn't as fun anymore, they don't release champions that people find interesting anymore. People need to stop acting like it's the players fault that the game is bad, it only encourages the developers to continue being uninspired. People blaming the fans for why they don't play is the most toxic thing I see from the league community. All who sincerely say that are just stuck in time repeating what they've heard from the mainstream. League is no more or less toxic than other online games. Fortnite dances and Warzone coms are far worse than anything you're capable of doing in League.

And full concert Pentakill) But what surprised me more was that when we watched the skins, the chat did not actively spam, that only publicly available skins were at the top, and archived and cleaned ones were shown below, and it was not necessary to scroll through the Wiki page)

I agree with that one comment where they said that league is league because of character diversity. I mean have you SEEN their creature designs? Waifus are great and all, but they’re all starting to look the same (pretty faces with similar structures and make up) and it’s getting a little boring. But they are what brings in the dough, so there’s nothing we can do. Hell, rito is starting to prettify some monster champs.

The Star Guardian storyline has a very well written story- the chat was wrong. Xayah and Rakan weren't evil. Xayah was corrupted by Zoe and in the Light and Shadow trailer, she was forced to hunt down Neeko. Ahri on the other hand was the leader of the team comprising of all 4 of them. She had thought Zoe had killed everyone (you can see she's looking at the star guardian stones), but Neeko had survived. There's a very tragic plotline that happens afterwards which I won't spoil if you're interested in reading it on the site.

The thing about the “Fight or be forgotten” line is… Old Aatrox told this to his enemies. New Aatrox tells this to himself. If he stop fighting, he reverts into prison… In the dark, hungry, unable to breath, unable to scream… Just a sword, buried and… Forgotten.
Just some additional lore for Aatrox. He was originally an Ascended like Azir and Nasus but became corrupted by blood magic and became a Darkin. I forgot some of the parts but he ended up being trapped in his own sword along with the other Darkin like Rhaast, Varus and Naafiri. He can take over anyone who decides to touch him due to his indomitable will. Another side effect of being trapped in his sword is that he can't die. His host can be killed or separated from him but he is immortal and he absolutely hates it.

Apart from the many videos missing from the list, most people also missed on the whole rise of sentinels series of stories. There are four videos in the series that sums up the story that leads to Absolution. Akshan's narration is just top tier.
The guy who made the list pretty much omitted a lot of the good stuffs that you want which provides lore.

I've played league since season 3 and mostly been into the characters and lore and play casually the game and love TFT ( that's a spinoff game that's more your style i think and has the same characters and regular updates + competitive play ) Awesome to see this!! That was pretty rude of Matt Houston to Ban Monkey in the chat 1:33:46 even if it was a temporary one. All they said was that the charcter that Matt called a Himbo tank and Monkey corrected him because Roger said "Really, he doesn't look like a tank", and in the process tried to help Roger understand what's going on and fix the communicationthat Matt started, which then he had typed the same thing Monkey had said seconds earlier. (Roger asked chat to help inform him on the charcters, the world's lore, and that it was fine.)
Monkey also asked to please not at after he did exact same thing he said at the same time, and after the ban unnecessarily challenged him to see how quickly he could ban him.
Thankfully I don't watch the live streams anymore (Even though I have been enjoying his content ever since I found his channel back when he destroyed Double4Anime years ago), because if someone like Matt Houston who can't even understand a joke that Roger made about liking Warwick and afterwards spams the chat with fully capitalized words for no reason, and later gets an ego and bans Monkey. No thank you, all that starts is a toxic community where mods get too egotistical, abuse their power, and power trip. In the process all that does is make people uncomfortable being in the chat and even talking or joking in chat.
Then later on when Monkey's temporary Ban ends Monkey talked about what Roger was watching and didn't show any hostility, even after being unrightfully banned. 1:37:24 Then for no reason Matt comes in again and threatens him to apologize (For literally doing nothing wrong) or he will Ban him which Monkey rightfully so, yikes. Matt then proceeds to Ban him and said "That wasn't an option, enjoy".
Shortly after that multiple people in chat finally call out Matt for him Power Tripping, which he then says He's not.
Either Matt is so far gone in the power tripping sauce and is truly ignorant to his own mistakes or he's just an bad person, that should no longer have that control of being a moderator, and should be a VIP instead, since he did help Roger put this playlist together. At least that's what Roger had said/implied.

These Mods really need to learn that they representatives of Roger's streams, and should Moderate his live streams or other things that they may be moderating, by making sure the chat/place is a welcome and enjoyable place to be/chat, without the fear of being banned for no reason, and that the chat will not have/ban people that are hostile for no reason, spam, a bot, Racist, TOS, or breaking rules and bringing negative vibes that should have no place being there. It's unfortunate, especially since Roger is such an entertaining individual. 😩

@@firefoyx I usually like to watch the chat converse and react with me and see how differently or the same our reactions are to the content, but when the chat isn't moderated properly, it's not fun being in chat or reading it, and is just a horrible time in general, that's usually when I would close chat and lose a little respect for the content creator themselves, because it's their responsibility to manage that.

God, everyone who mindlessly screams "NOXUS BAD!" is so dumb. Yes, they're conquers but that isn't an inherently evil thing. It's not like Noxus is against diplomacy, no they prefer it! If they can talk you into joining their empire then they will, less blood spilled meaninglessly means more blood to spill in service of the empire. The only "bad" part about it is that they don't give you a choice, but there's a good reason for that, and most places that Noxus conquers experience increased prosperity anyway. They're not selfish assholes, they want you to be strong so if you'll join them they'll gladly share the wealth. I know we're all red and blue-blooded Americans and freedom has no price and blah blah blah blah- the world of Runeterra is fucked okay? Take all the problems our world had- slavery, war, poverty, sickness- the whole shebang, right? Then crack open an entire fantasy world's laundry list of problems and you'll get a pretty good idea of what the bad side of Runterra looks like. There's basically a cataclysmic event with the potential to end life as they know it every Tuesday. So yeah, we can all sit here in our nice comfy chairs and criticize the Noxian's methods but at some point, you've gotta look at things pragmatically. Swain knows that everything they've experienced - The Runewars, The Ruination, The Void- it's all nothing compared to what's coming. He needs to unify the people, all of Runterra, if they're to have a chance. But unity alone won't be enough, they need to be strong, and sometimes, strength requires sacrifice.

Matt Houston kinda got moody someone said “Rakan isn’t a tank”, man just say he’s a support
"Virtual hip-hop group True Damage was born when K/DA's lead rapper Akali sought to bring together the distinct talents of Ekko, Senna, Qiyana, and Yasuo in an ambitious, genre-defying collaboration." So basically Akali did K/DA and then did a side project finding singers to form True Damage but she's still a member of K/DA too. True Damage was actually Senna's launch skin and she also eventually got a Prestige version of the skin (which is basically a shiny gold upgraded version) and it was a collaboration with Louis Vuitton, as was Qiyana's Prestige version which came out before Senna's. Yasuo also eventually got a Prestige version which was a collaboration with a Japanese fashion brand A Bathing Ape.
Seraphine wasn't received well by some parts of the community due to her seemingly being designed like a revamped Sona, and a lot of players think her kit is way too easy to use and abuse. On top of that, Riot essentially created a "real" version of Seraphine on social media to promote her game launch and pretty much her entire design and brand was based around K/DA. People argued that she didn't feel like a genuine champion because of all that and that Riot was "trying too hard" to push her. And to add even more to that, her launch skin was an "ultimate" level skin, which is the highest tier skin in the game design and price-wise, and it was also a K/DA skin with three different versions to it. Lots of people felt it wasn't up to par with being an "ultimate" skin like some we've gotten in the past and it also wasn't fair that her very first skin was an "ultimate" skin when there are so few of them in the game.
I don't know why your chat speaks so much without knowing anything, but the kids on the wall in the ekko trailer are NOT the guys from arcane. Arcane isn't canon, in league lore Ekko is part of a group called Lost Children of Zaun. Although when Ekko was getting released, Arcane was already in the making, so in game he has a voiceline towards Jinx "I had a crush, before you started talking to the gun"

Having watched the whole thing its crazy seeing what they took from each trailer and used to make Arcane. Like the small bits of Ryzes story, the bits from Jinx and Ekko's videos, and the whole Caitlyn x Vi thing came from fans shipping them after the Warriors video. Before that Caitlyn and Vi were just police officers in Piltover and the Vi/Jinx sister thing was mostly Vi trying to catch Jinx who was a bankrobber type character. The slowly put in voice lines where Jinx, Vi, and Caitlyn would reference each other for years before Arcane was even announced.

Yeah, the world itself and the lore and characters are better than the game itself, I feel a like a child whenever a cinematic comes out, that's why I'm hyped about the MMO.

The ruination event with the sentinels of light isn't really canon, it was just an ingame event to sell the sentinels and ruined skins, the canon version of Viego's story is on the rpg game. Also there's a trailer for a ruination book if you could check it out, the book comes out next month.
There's tons of readeable content including comics in collab with marvel, Riot also is doing an MMO and in 2020 they hired people for live action tv shows and movies production, so expect a really big expansion in the future

Not only does he scream, but he talks over the videos and reads chat without stopping them, thereby missing a lot of things. I mean, for the music videos it doesn't matter, but for all the rest, it's kinda frustrating, he could learn things by paying attention but instead he learns it three or four videos later thanks to those in the chat.

Oh God, how annoying to see the dumb Seraphine hate train trying to influence a new person getting into the lore. I'm glad you didn't listen to them, those people who till this day still call her Sona 2.0 have never played her. Her gameplay doesn't look nor feel like Sona's AT ALL in-game, they just share the music theme, although executed in very different ways. She wasn't annoying in-game either and her marketing wasn't weird, it was really dedicated and creative. It was the fanbase who started making it weird. People are just mad that a cutesy, girly pink haired popstar character was released and with such an insane amount of marketing on top of it, because apparently everything that's targeted at "e-girls" as they call it is automatically trash. It's this phenomenon again where people diminish all things that a lot teen girls like (out of sexism ofc) like boybands and that kind of stuff. People were purposefully looking for reasons to hate on her since day 1 because they just hate fun and strongly girly things. Really an example of how toxic this fanbase can be, we Seraphine players actually get harassed by the haters too just because we like her and play her 🙃

There are plenty of valid reasons to dislike her. The main reason I don't like her, personally, is that she feels like she belongs in an alternate universe skin line. He aesthetic doesn't really fit the base game at all. I never engaged with the marketing, because I'm not on social media, so I can't really comment on it. As for the comparisons to Sona, I always get annoyed when a new champion gets released that is just X champ but better. She is half of Sona (big wide CC ult and a healing circle) and half artillery mage (two long range, non-targeted damage abilities). So she is similar, but better in most circumstances. I get why people feel like she was supposed to be the "new Sona," even if it isn't really accurate.

As much as I love seeing people react to LoL cinematics, can you please use the PAUSE button when you wanna talk or look at chat ? It's a bit frustrating to watch you say how you want to learn more about the lore and just flat out talk over the said lore. And then proceed to ask chat, of which would most likely give you mixed or false info.
That being said, I appreciate you putting in 4hrs of diving into cinematics! LoL has a very deep and interesting lore, just hoping you'd pause when you talk if you truly wanna tune into it.
have to correct this thing about Kayn, Raask/Death Scythe is actually one of the alien species in Runeterra, every darkin in runeterra are sealed as weapon, additional darkin characters are Aatrox, and Varus. Demons have their own stories in Runeterra, just to note, Darkins are not Demons, Example of Demons are Evelynn, Tahm Kench, Fiddlesticks, Yone, Raum/Beatrice (Swain's Raven), and Nocturne, Demon's stories, shines in the Region of Ionia, but it also in all of the region of runeterra.
What needs to be remembered, especially looking at a lot of chatters, is that when someone's talking about the Evil Region it's spelled "D-E-M-A-C-I-A".
I mean Noxus is also evil as are all empires including Shurima, but if Demacia didn't have a King they'd have a Hitler.

You forgot a Star Guardian cinematic called A New Horizon. It mainly covers Ahri, but also has Miss Fortune, Ezreal, Soraka, and Syndra. As well as showing Lux's team in the beginning.

People who were saying Noxus is evil and Darius is bad don't really understand LoL lore. The lore is not that black and white, there is a lot of morally grey. He is a man who performs some arguably bad actions, but generally with good intentions.
ooh about the seraphine incident, i do think that she should be hated that much, but they did mess her up bad at the beginning. the one thing that kind of started it off is that she was teased as a virtual social media person which was fine at first, there was a lot of us who kinda liked that new way of introducing a champion. and then when things were going fine, people are interacting, having fun with this virtual influencer, they released a post saying how she was feeling down and she needs a cheer up. i forgot what it's called but basically a non-existing person is asking people to cheer her up from basically depression as if she's a real person. all of this is for marketing purposes, they are using real life problems like depression to garner interactions from people. that was kinda messed up.
the rest followed were not that severe, but it just piled up, thus they started hating her cause people hated on her. some of these criticisms is that her character design was out of place for piltover/zaun, her story made her look bad (they edited that after but it was no help), her game play is similar to sona (and people have longed for an old champion like sona to get some rework), and that people said they disliked her gameplay as well.
we do kinda like her kda skin and her newest skins are amazing, but these stuffs still linger and thus some people still hold on to hate her. i still don't like her as a character, but that's just me not liking her design and story. otherwise, i do think she don't deserve that much hate.

Seraphine hate came from these four reasons
1. Uncreative gameplay that's why she was compared to Sona.
2. Terribly Written Story for her main universe counterpart.
3. Feeling like she was just made to be a KDA skin. The reason for that is she got an Ultimate Skin in her first release while older characters don't get it.
4. Having a design that doesn't perfectly align region that she is in.
I think there is more but that's the only thing that I remember.

You are really-really cool, but PLEASE, please, please, put the video on pause when you are looking away for a long period of time (like when you are reading the chat), cause you actually miss a lot of cool detailes of videos because of it. Its just frustrating to watch you missing them. You also do not listen to what characters are saying in most trailers (which could have answered half of the questions you asked). I liked you reaction, these two things were the only ones that spoiled the joy for me.
Its so nice to see roger interested in the league of legend universe, which such a vast and unique and beautiful universe, hopefully more people get interested, and maybe who knows we might get new series on other interesting and fascinating characters of league
(i am not good in Aj so sorry for mistakes) some people from your chat told you really stupid things :D for example that darkins are demons.... have you seen the Shurima video, the sun disk what you saw there can summon incredible power in a person, they started creating these soldiers in Shurima. Azir who was in command of all died after being betrayed by Xerath and the army created by the sun disc had no commander + the battle of Icathia where these warriors fought against the void (after that battle their psyche was very bad because the void is explained in LoL as one of the greatest horrors) the warriors started doing whatever they wanted after they had no one to command them, so Soraka (one of the goddesses) sacrificed herself (gods could not be killed, but after she used this spell, got a physical body and now she can be killed) and trapped the 5 warriors in weapons these weapons were hidden all over the world so that no one would find them, but whoever found them would be controlled by Darkin. we know the three Darkins Aatrox (sword), Rhaast (scythe) and Varus (bow)
demons are creatures that feed on feelings (fear, pain, greed, nightmares) the weakest are the Azakana then there is Tybaulk (the bear from Annie) even higher are Nocturne, Evelynn, Raum or Tahm Kench and on a completely different level even higher is Fiddlestick , until now not much was known about the demons, but now there is a new champion in the game called Nilah who made a contract with a demon from the top ten and she says something like "the main demons are not allowed to be released" so it is possible that the demons who are now in the physical world (demons are originally from the spirit realm) are only some part of their true power
the last things I would like to say are that the demons are not the only ones I have listed, Tybaulk probably served Mordekaiser with one more demon and they should add other main demons to the game and the same with the god warriors there were more of them but Soraka only sealed the ones from who started to use their powers for evil, there is for example Nasus who is also this warrior but he is not a Darkin

Important to know that Darius and noxus are not in fact evil like a lot of these less well-versed individuals would have you believe. Noxus accepts everyone no matter their race, gender, sex, religion, whatever it may be, just so long as you are strong ebough or smart enough or cunning, etc, etc, etc. You have to be a part of society that functions and provides something to the nations. Damacia which many would have you to believe is the nice nation is far from righteous. They speak of honour yet never let anyone climb rank. Blood dictates all, if you are a warrior thats what you will remain, if you are a kind thats what you and your bloodline will continue to be. If you are a baker, you have no right to try to climb ranks with your skills bo matter what. And god forbid if you have magic you will be persecuted and massacred or imprisoned. They have this wierd pride where simply because they have a higher title, anyone underneath them wil br treated as scum. Noxus has no such desire to push people down. Only for the strong and worthy to rise, no matter what. But Ionia is the best region by far lol.

Arcane isn't cannon to the official League universe. In the official lore; Jayce is kind of an asshole, Vi and Jinx are not sisters, Vi and Jinx are two buddy-cops with no romantic involvement with eachother and Silko doesn't even EXIST.

The excuse that people don't play the game because the playerbase is supposedly so toxic is pure nonsense. The game just isn't as fun anymore. I hate seeing people take the responsibility away from the developers only to load it off on the fans who have so strict behaviour regulations put on them that theres literally impossible to be actually toxic without having your account automatically banned. The playerbase is unable to be toxic because typing a single bad word will have your account automatically banned. The worst a person can do is call you bad, but no one should be deluded about that, being bad is something everyone start off as, if someone says it then you should just shame them for smurfing, not take it personally.
I don't play the game anymore but like the world like many others, but the idea that toxicity has anything to do with why people don't like the game is nothing but an old overplayed internet fairytale. The game isn't as fun anymore, they don't release champions that people find interesting anymore. People need to stop acting like it's the players fault that the game is bad, it only encourages the developers to continue being uninspired.
People blaming the fans for why they don't play is the most toxic thing I see from the league community. All who sincerely say that are just stuck in time repeating what they've heard from the mainstream. League is no more or less toxic than other online games. Fortnite dances and Warzone coms are far worse than anything you're capable of doing in League.
This playlist did not include many short videos with announcements (For example, Vel'Koz first contact), as well as a lot of videos tied only to music (like Fiddlesticks theme, where concept art is also demonstrated) and the display of gameplay (Like the announcement of Dunkmaster Darius skin). I agree with that one comment where they said that league is league because of character diversity. I mean have you SEEN their creature designs? Waifus are great and all, but they’re all starting to look the same (pretty faces with similar structures and make up) and it’s getting a little boring. But they are what brings in the dough, so there’s nothing we can do. Hell, rito is starting to prettify some monster champs.
To give you some backstory on why Seraphine isnt liked very much:
When she was released, Riot cared more about her marketing in K/DA than they did her in-game lore. AND THEY MESSED IT UP. She's from Piltover and Zaun and supposed to have the ability to hear peoples emotions through "songs" but instead of caring about the disparity, she instead just goes around saying "why don't we all just be friends". Her in-game design, as well, is completely different than every other champion in the game. She essentially looks like a star guardian in the base lore which doesn't fit especially within Piltover and Zaun which both have unique looks to them. She has no interactions with ANY champion inside the game EXCEPT one which was removed almost immediately after she came out because it completely contradicted the established lore AND made her seem like a complete bitch. On top of all of this, she has a very similar kit to Sona. All of this combined is cause for hate from the community. It just felt like they cared more about the music and the K/DA sales over the game.

Amumus backstory is very sad. He was a little boy who got sick and his sickness killed his whole family. His only friend and his light in his dark life was a servant girl. She tried to comfort him and he accidently killed her when she got sick. The girls mother was a witch who cursed Amumu to be immortal and lethal to the touch for all eternity. Bro was like 7 years old.

It has mostly the same style because its the same studio that has been working with Riot since the begining. The name of the studio is Fortiche, i believe its a french animation studio.
