It would have been great if you actually employed someone to do the voice over. Having Amazon Polly read out the script sounds a tad cheap.

Clear enough for me - besides the air bubble in the testing gauge and the lack of the appropriate gloves for handling high voltage batteries it looked pretty good.
Maybe the top steel cover is a bit thin in comparison to a Nissan Leaf box - you can see how easy it bends down under pressure of tightening.
But then again the Chinese use a frame and panels whereas other manufacturers like Nissan use a two piece shell.
A lower cost product seems to always come with some short cuts and I am interested how they compare in a high speed impact.

Agreed. I switched it off at 15 seconds. Can't stand automated commentary.

It is a Chinese Shanghai company now. You would want to hear Chinese accent, would you not?

Cooling system is pretty simple compared to a tesla model 3.
But for the price its a proper thermal management system, really good job MG
This uses a cooling plate underneath the modules, so it'll probably charge like the Kona or e-Niro (maybe 70kW max)
This is something that Nissan have refused to do in all the years since the leaf was released.

My MG4 Trophy charges at 141Kw max. The stated top is 135Kw.
The 70Kw speed you have mentioned I got closer to 80% state of charge.

Bring it in at the right price and if that thermal management system prevents the degredation we see in the Nissan Leaf and you might just have a car to compete, maybe if room permits a long range version for down the track. But it's a good start, MG may be able to make a comeback if it gets this right.

MG must use Blade Battery for its upcoming ZS EV facelift. It is a safe alternative and also cheap. MG should sign MoU with BYD & set up a blade battery factory in India

How are these modules built from CAT cells? And are these prismatic cells or pouch cells?

At 2:06 in the video, the robot is only just about to complete placing the modules in the pack, but on the left side - you can see the cell sense cables between two rows of the modules, already connected - i.e. some cable assembly work has happened even as the robot is still placing the last few modules in the pack. What are the small cable assemblies going across two rows of modules & who inserts these?

Personally I quite like the synthesised voiceover.
Feels right for a video about highly automated manufacturing
If MG/Roewe can supply a large number of these battery packs, then they could sell loads and loads of the ZS EV in Europe

Usually I'd agree with you, but there are far better synthesised voiceovers out there. This is the sort of voice used on Reddit compilation videos, and feels like a cheap/free choice rather than a properly thought out futuristic voice.

I have been urging for years to design a removable battery and a drawer that would change in a few minutes. This would develop the change station industry with all the necessary technique, semi-automatically or automatically. The biggest problem is the arrangement of the unique design, so that it is the same for all vehicles. It seems to be the biggest problem in people’s heads though.
