I love how in nearly every duel you can actively see your opponent pausing for a solid 20 seconds as they read the card and go “WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS TEXT WALL”
That's what I feel like when I face up against some Rouge deck and I have to read all their cards and the opponent is just sitting there for 5 minutes waiting for me to read the great American novel that was the card they played
the best part of chess is when your opponent activates gamma to block your check
One thing I really like about this series is that you make every deck you play look *fun to play*
It’s almost like most yugioh decks are fun to play
literally built scareclaw after I saw him beat 4 interruptions with it
@@__-be1gk Hows the scareclaw journey going?
Seeing that Purrley haemorrhage all the attached cards when it's shoved into the backrow and the player instantly scooping cracked me up.
If I recall correctly, the opening line is usually “with the right deck and a little skill, you can get to master 1” but now it’s the right deck and a lot of skill. Big twost for the season finale
I've been changing the intros lately. The last 5 or 6 have been different
@@HardlegGaming And you did comment, after running a couple of pretty powerful decks, that you felt maybe your intro was not as accurate as it used to be with just how *many* wins you needed consistently to claw your way up without a lot of grinding.
The editor for the intro went absolutely crazy
Love the script for it, Hardleg!
I edit the intros myself, so thank you :D
u a legend leg :D @@HardlegGaming
@@HardlegGaming I thought so, but I could not remember if that had changed recently. Massive props, Mr. Joe!
@@HardlegGaming destrudo/afd seems crazy in this deck. you could activate both field spells consistently
@LibtardDestroyer420 Both field spells activate the other to the opponent's field when activated, so you always get both on field regardless. That's why you only run 2 of each. It's essentially 4 copies of both fields.
Turn 2: "A quick and easy 500 step combo that wins the game!"
I think its very impressive that you've grasped the deck enough to get that far though. I enjoyed how much you put it all together and how the deck came into play with each duel. You did great!
:D
Was seriously not expecting a Chaos Draft and Master Climb back to back
You're welcome
This deck is just so cool and unique thematically, after watching this video I’m legit just gonna start grinding for this deck it looks so fun, and actually pretty f2p friendly.
I pulled 1pack and almost have the whole deck(granted I do play pend and d/d/d)
I think every time I’ve seen this deck in ranked it’s either done nothing or lost to itself, so I can’t wait to see what it’s actually trying to do
This hurts 😂
We NEED Vaylantz Duel Fields, it'd be perfect
Yes!
That duel 24 vs lab was so fun to watch. Great job figuring out the path to victory.
This was a very cool and hard fought climb, so many times I thought you were out of it but you managed to claw back a win 🔥
Calling valiant the most complex isn’t that bad, it’s just playing chess with solitaire pieces
I think you mean solitaire with chess pieces
And there’s also six samurai, which is kinda chess and solitaire and freecell combined
@@bachouvenn3563idk if chess works as much there
Fossil Chronochasm pass lol
Nah, look the duel after 2:04:00, that is insane.
Flip Summoning Pachy was the best moment. 😂
I was so happy that not only did a pendulum deck finally make it on the show again but the most complex one since DDD. Thanks Joe for making amazing content yet again.
Konig Wissen really is just "You know what? fuck you! *spell/traps your monster*"
The last duel being a mirror is actually kinda poetic in a way
god this makes me want to pick up the deck due to how they play
that duel 24 was crazy!
After watching you rewatch videos I realized just how much these introductions have advanced.
Its worth watching every time to see the updates.
Gallant Granite: what is my purpose?
Joe: you search Fossil Dyna
Granite:........oh my god
pretty much a stun combo deck ,a rare combination though.
I love this comment
Pretty much the decks I build honorable mention to combo-control
Maaaaan, these intro's keep getting better and better, doing a great job of capturing peoples attention in the first minute, well done Joe you've come a long way!
This deck is really really cool. It's just a shame that in reality it just ends up being an engine to set up the most vile, boring end board imaginable.
Floodgate turbo yeah with a single interruption
Personally I think the methods by which they accomplish their win condition is sick regardless of what that win con is. But yeah, fair response.
Man I miss the vaylantz FTK. I hope cyber stein comes back
@@reset6292 You are sick in the head for multiple reasons. Konami should lock you up and force you to play against Exodia where they start with all 5 exodia card
@@reset6292 What about Gale Dogra? You can do similar nonsense with that (such as Bishbaalkin FTK).
“And into the backrow I go” threw me into a fit a giggles. Intro was *chefs kiss* compared to the absolute distain I feel mostly targeted at fossil dyna as ranking up in gold has an unhealthy amount of floo players running it too
Kinda feels like a better dream mirror. Great video Joe can't wait for the ninja deck next month.
This is Gold!
Well paced. And a delight to see you go from an absolute novice BS-ing his way through the deck profile to a truly commendable Vaylantz pilot!
So many memorable duels.
That terrifying Labrynth tactical masters
grudgematch,
Learning what Purrely Delicious memory does,
That glorious war of attrition against Dragon Link who psy-framed you when you had lethal,
The chaotic neutral sky Striker player,
Fossil Dino Pachycephalus IS in fact a Flip Monster!
2:22:38 uh. You could record locally in case anything important happens offline.
In place of Gizmek Okami, Hiita the Fire Channeler is a Small World bridge that similarly finds any Vaylantz, but works with Lava Golem and Ass Blassum too.
I absolutely adore this deck and have built both the stun lock and otk variant.
The stun variant is a guaranteed win if you can make it, but the otk variant is oh so satisfying to play.
This deck has little to no issue breaking boards and grand duke is a hell of a card. It just burns for 3k and gets big. Also dom-duke is just snach steal on legs so thats fun.
One of my favorite things to do is; if i have hojo and dom-duke on the field i just steal their monster then fuse it with hojo effect to make momonaka for an extra interruption.
i love this
thanks for making the series!!!
This was my favorite of these so far. Vaylantz is so unique
I've actually been waiting for this! Others I merely got interested because I wanna see how well you do with these randoms decks but while I am really interested in Vaylantz, I'm not touching it with a kilometre length pole
That final intro effect was awesome xD
Into the back row!
"Why the monster no die chat?" 😐 😂😂😂 F**king hillarious
As someone who hasn't played Yugioh since the GBA games, I have no idea what is going on, but you are very entertaining doing it.
I know you’ve pointed out how much work you put into the intro, so this might go without saying… but I love your intro segments.
They’re so engaging and I love the combination of wacky and witty that goes into them.
:D
Neat. I've been having a blast learning to link with my Beetrooper deck. The deck is mostly done. Has accesscode talker, Knightmare stuff, and Goddess of the Dark World? The one that needs 5 mats including 1 from your opponent. If this deck is that complicated it might be fun to learn how to use it.
The Amazement UR pulls will be very helpful if you do an episode on it... I hope you do! It seems like the perfect goofy deck for a series like this!
Holy this is such a cool deck lol imagine playing this on the playground back in the day 😂😂
On the one hand Vaylantz is one of the best translations of a table top game, specifically table top war game, to card game format I've ever seen. On the other hand it's end board game plan is just another stun board with the benefit of having some generic extra deck negates thrown in.
It feels like Hardleg did his homework learning the deck before recording, I feel like if you have to read your own pendulum cards while you are dueling you will always lose to the timer. Well done.
Appreciate the hard work and love watching live.
Thank you, Joe, for playing my favorite deck for this. Sure you made a few mistakes but I will always appreciate seeing this deck getting the love it deserves.
I just got the UR cards of the archetype literally by luck, when opening other packs. Your video came conveniently very timely! I feel like giving it a try :)
I've never run into either the stun variant or the go second. I've only seen the go first combo that makes a bunch of interactions.
I love how unphased you were against Kashtira zonelock. Around the 1:46 mark xD
I thought Vaylantz was going to end up being another slog that would be annoying to face off and use due to repetitiveness, like Kashtira has been so far. Thank you for showing me how much fun this deck can be.
Really loved the vid!! Keep it up Sir Hardleg :)
2:26:54 yeah, I feel that reaction soo much. Dyna does in fact, have two effects
His flip effect is even more powerful than his continuous effect and yet people rarely use it
Intros are getting insane my guy, I can’t imagine what you’ll do later
It's becoming harder to top myself. Not sure if I'll be able to next time
Ah my new favorite time of the month when hardleg rank climbs with a random deck can't wait
Boy Lois this deck seems more complicated than that time I tried to learn Paradox-Billiards-Vostroyan-Roulette-Fourth Dimensional-Hypercube-Chess-Strip Poker with Stephen Hawking
Something funny is watching how different your opinion of vaylentz was this last month versus your opinion of them during let’s build
Ayo I just went up against this guy and his first turn combo LITERALLY took 37 mins, I ended up playing solitaire
" It's the beast from the east " That's was my favorite Goosebumps book as a kid!
Love this series !! ❤
Hell yeah Hardleg, respect to you enjoying one of my favorite archetypes! Only pendulums that are based.
I genuinely hope the DLC factions remove the need to fossil Dyna ngl
@@minifeebas8911 DLC Factions is a new term..im not even sure what you mean by it -
@@ariannadravis3934
I forgot it was a physical board game and not a digital game, it was expansion set not dlc
From vbex 3:
"Arktos XII - Chronochasm Vaylantz
In the first expansion set of “Vaylantz War”, the 3rd faction is already making its appearance! In this issue, we’re revealing what the boss of that clan looks like. This new clan that can manipulate time and vectors is set to debut with 12 units. Further details will be revealed exclusively in this magazine!"
@@ariannadravis3934 idk either tbh and I know Vaylantz quite well lol
@@ariannadravis3934I think they mean a potential third faction that's introduced after the initial two.
Whoever made Vaylants
Really liked the mechanics for crystal beasts and also plays war games 😂
Does hardleg not know the difference between left and right? "Slide to the right" goes left 😅
Everytime
pendulum when arise heart is in the meta and zone locking is ambitious can't wait for them to lock your two pen zones and you scoop
Amazing duels!!!
Aw hell nah they done turned my man Hardleg into a marketable figure
Intro's are getting better and better
Me watching the first Duel: Oh this isn't that... bad... oh lords now I have to make this myself just to try it.
Good luck :)
So i wonder, what would arguably be the most fun or best version of this deck of the mk1-8's
you killed it Senor Leg!
Cannot believe that there was a reference to a veggietales movie in this video, I love it
THE MINI JOE FIGURE
So many things when joe said toss a coin i just thought of theae cards being a witcher. But also i respect joe for teaching these poor yugioh players to read cause you shoved a card with a star wars opening on each and every card
Vylantz could secretly be tier zero but no one would know because this deck has so many moving part to master it is insane
Maybe if Vaylantz got tear treatment and got everything on release on Md they could have been t0 but alas we waited over 4x the amount of time that we did in tcg for solo activation to come out.
Anti spell fragance exists so no
@@MrGshinobi I mean d barrier, dimensional fissure, and macro cosmos also exist and tear was still very dominant for a long time
@@littlemrdoom5997 You can't compare the tearlament cards to the valyantz cards, the tear cards were much better and could make use of broken graveyard engines like the ishizu's and the dangers to out those problematic cards, pendulum doesn't have that luxury and most of the time anti spell gets flipped up you are losing that game
Oh. The days before solo activation. When we had to play Senet Switch.
Pepperidge Farms remembers.
This go second build is pretty fun. I just dueled against a kashtira player and they rage quit. Thanks Hardleg.
I don't even know how you came back from Duel 24 but bravo.
These intros keep getting better and better.
59:35 I would've summoned Saion and Nazuki in opposite spots, make unicorn with saion and beyond, summon Dominator Duke, move him with Nazuki, steal Baronne, boom.
Hardleg out here showing us biblically accurate exodia at one point in this episode
i only met vaylant few times and if i remember they ended on some two pieces of interaction? or they went psycho mode and ended on appo and several negates, i remember being able to get out of those two monster and then use vaylantz field spell against them, putting another pesky monster into their backrow:D
Ah yes pendulum, together with synchro home to the most interresting and experimental archetypes
Despite playing what is practically a stun deck you still manage to make it entertaining.
“We are bear tops over here ladies and non ladies” me looking at Hardleg Joe.. yes I agree
the overwatch reference in duel 23 made it for me
thank you for showing me Vaylantz, built a deck last night and having a blast with it even if I don't have the best grasp on it entirely yet.
Joe pulling 2 Expurrely Happiness from the free event tickets making me so jealous. lol
i want to use what you built as a base for a vaylantz deck but i can't make out the names of pretty much any of the non-vaylantz card names, and i recognize the art of very few. mind posting a text-based deck list?
1:36:16 Yes, I believe. I also didn't watch the live climb so this is blind belief!
I’m learning valiantz now and it’s fun
Vaylantz giving us the Crystal Beast Monsters Konami refuses to print.
It's so weird that Arkdos the XII is not a machine, he's a *Fairy*
Yugioh monster types make zero sense sometimes.
I want to know who decided to classify the demon burger as a warrior.
@@Red-RebelMaybe because he ate the Bistro Butcher?
It makes more sense if we use the Japanese word for fairy, which is "Tenshi" (Angel). Yes, it's still weird, but in YGO, it's common for advanced mechanical entities to be treated as somewhat divine beings, hence "Angel" (Fairy).
The lore actually states, its part of a different clan/tribe in the vaylantz's board game. Thats why it has different monster type and Attribute.
the biggest buff to vaylantz is playing it in a simulator and not irl
Well, going by how the game is in the card art and lore it's supposed to be on your computer but at the same time you could still get the figures.
i meant with how generally the deck is complicated to use, even more so in card form and not with the help of the simulator telling you whats legal
What was he supposed to search instead on duel 23, the dragon link duel?
I have almost all the cards for this archetype, but I already know I'm going to struggle with the time limit.
I have played this deck for months and still finding new lines, I do think my version needs some tuning
This was really good! You played really well, and I learned things!
:D
Valyant: your field is also my field.
Oppo: "and where should i play?"
You: "oh you want to play? Sorry..i tought you came here to watch"
1:22:09 A7X Welcome to the family reference? 😮
vaylantz is my pet deck so love to see it being played (even if it's got floodgates blegh), the only thing i actually consistently play and the first deck i put any large amount of money into, i play a blind second otk build that can burn the opponent for 5300 and then punch for 6k
With what?
My most consistent plays were abusing Cyberstein with Powet tool Dragon for unlimited level 10 fusions then would boost everyone’s atk with the spider having appoulousa and Exterio.
@@isidoreaerys8745
so what you want to do is maindeck kaijus/lava golem, but if you don't draw them going second its fine you can put their boss monster in the S/T zone the kaiju just helps you get past grind decks
then you do your combo until you can get out 2 of grand duke genesis bounce the kaiju to your hand, burn them for the atk then overlay the dukes into gustax max, burn for 2k, overlay for leibe and attack for game
alternative build is just run an invoked engine, we don't need the normal summon and free negate bait is always good
I liked this episode but I'm afraid the Valiantz are finished content-wise (like the Yang Zing).
If I recall correctly, Arktos XII was some kind of judge overlooking the tabletop game between the spellcasters and the machines, so that seems to be a rounded out story, all said and done.
i think if they make you go first , they should have board breaker spells/traps ... so Fossil Dina wouldnt be save win , I wouldnt feel bad using it :D
anyone have the ending deck list?
