Hi Dylan, What is your favorite tamper of the 3? I recently bought the pullman bigstep for the BBE over the model b from saint anthony because I liked the idea of adjusting the tamper to fit your grip. But I do like that you can put the model b in the same place of the default breville tamper.
Hey Dylan, quick question for you - do you think the Motta 58.5mm competition tamper will fit in a standard LM portafilter basket? Not sure how tight the fit will be. I'm guessing there won't be a problem since the Pullman is 58.55mm works great. What about VST 18g/20g precision baskets or IMS 16/20g baskets? Thanks and love all of your videos.
I love the Motta tamper but I am not a huge fan of the convex base. I am in love with the Pullman Tamper as it reach the whole surface of the basket and has a flat base. Both are fantastic but the Pullman is extremely pricey!
Don’t forget the timer started at first drip - so not including the pre-infusion - as it’s using the auto start on the scales. The LM shot was a couple of seconds quicker.
@@igriks123 I don’t own one - but the delay between operating the lever and the coffee appearing would be the pre-infusion I would’ve thought. Apologies if I’m mistaken
Love seeing product reviews it helps us make decisions on what’s best fir each I’d us. Thx Dylan 👍
Im so happy you enjoyed the video!
I talked to La Marzocco and they recommended using 58.3mm. Have you had an issue with the Pullman getting stuck in the basket?

Convex base isn't the con, it's actually a benefit for 58mm base tampers. Do check it out and the facts. Cheers
Motta have a 58.4mm competition tamper, which I find is excellent for the price. A big improvement over the 58mm tamper I had previously.
I’ll have to check that one out!
Welcome to the family ❤️
Sorry for the late question - So the Motta 58.4mm will work for a La Marzocco 58mm portafilter? Thanks!

Wow, that Pullman is pretty impressive! I have several tampers for my Barista Express including the Motta, which is my favorite of the moment.
