Now first let me give you some IMPORTANT INFORMATION: This method is not for chemically treated, damaged, over dry hair. While wearing this style, make sure that your hair is well maintained. By moisturizing and conditioning your hair before and during this install wear. It is imperative that the rubber bands are not so tight that they cause any discomfort or damage.
The Method I am using is a combination of several content / stylist own methods. The rubber band pattern is not my own, though I have not seen anyone try to do a seamless /illusion install on it. The knots used in this install belong to a creator name puate. Also the the illusion method for the frontal area is a combination of my method and puate's method. The knot (for extra security) at the front is puate's. And the wrapping it around the row and securing in the back is my own. The concept, to try to use a Braidless Method along with an illusion method I believe to be new. I have not seen this being done as of this date, but I wanted to try this because so many sisters come to me and say they wish they could try crochet but they don't know how to corn row. So, here I am, trying to see what we can make shake. And, I don't know, I think we shook... what do you think?

I be jamming in the bathroom, but Yt won't let me play what I be listening to because of copyright, so I just find other beats I like that aren't and put them on there. Queen, you are such a game changer and I told you once before, you got me pulling out my bucket of crochet hair that I purchased years ago, but just didn't know how to create styles that fit my taste. One thing I hate is wearing, wigs, crochet styles, weaves etc.. that don't look believable. Thanks for sharing your mad skills.

That puate method looked interesting. When would you need to use it? For silky hair, maybe? 🤔
Thank you! I used puates knot because it felt more secure on this braid-less install. But used my wrapping technique because i didn’t want it to be too bulky in the front with the rubberbands as i wanted a medium density installation.

When you did the rubber band method how long were you able to wear the style? This I may have to start doing because I have developed carpal tunnel syndrome on my right hand and I don’t think I can cornrow my hair until I have surgery

I love this! It looks so amazing! When you do the little knots from each strand, how do you uninstall it? I want to try this but I'm worried that I won't be able to get it out :)
Cutting the length off first. Then start taking the pattern down. The knots will then slide out

@@deja9462 it’s so that the knots won’t slide. You can style, wash, swim and be confident that no knots will loosen or come out until you are ready.

I haven’t figured that out yet. I can’t take the class because I’m sure I’d have to sign something. Lol. So i have to figure out my own method, test it out and then make a video. Rn, I’m still trying to figure it out.

I'm wondering how you tucked the ends of your hair away in the back.
I tucked them under the base of the sections. I have a detailed video over on memberships on how to do this pattern.

Why did you use the razor com near the roots? I love the loose crochet hairstyles but i dont know how to style it and cut it real good. Im scared i'll cut to much off and it just wont look right. My shaping and trimming skills suck😂
Hey, I've been there. They key is a little at a time, until your comfortable. When I first started, I started thinning at the bottom and working my way up. Took more time, but it ensured I wouldn't take off too much.
I use the razor to create a little frizz to push to the top to camouflage the knots. It creates what I call "static". When I first started creating illusion installs I used scissors to do it, but I find that the razor comb does a million times better when using it in conjunction with the back comb.
