Sin 18, while that is a point. You do have to remember that there is no reason for the angels to not fight Jeanne. They have the same beef with her being indebted to the forces of darkness as one assumes they have with Bayonetta herself. XD Naw, Dante beat Jeanne too. He used a bike as a weapon in DMC3, he just didn't get to do it outside of cutscene until 5.
Also, I think you’ll enjoy sinning God of War Ragnarok. I think this game is fantastic, way better than the 2018 one, but there are quite a few moments there that made me think “GCN would LOVE to sin this”
The only thing wrong with the game is that she isn't real :( And the QTEs suck hard, I swear there's no way the first time around you'll get them right, other than that it's one my favorite games of all time
I knew that you were going to make a comeback sometime this year. Didn't know you would be returning so soon. This is an unexpected surprise that I will gladly welcome.
I'm pleased to see you do Bayonetta it is one of my favorite hackenslash games right up there with Devil May Cry however I'm more surprised that the next game you're sending good on you for picking it I can't wait to see what you have to say especially considering how different it is from the original
Its very clear you actually enjoy this game and honestly, its very refreshing seeing a CinemeSins style video where someone's actually knowledgeable about what they're talking about But you got a few things wrong Sin 25: Moon of Mahaa-Kalaa is something that lets you be able to parry, block, and deflect attacks. This is a game centered around dodging and evading. It rewards you for it with things like Witch Time, which allows you to send enemies into the air easily, continue combos, open up opponents, and deflect projectile attacks. While dodging, you can also continue strings. Moon of Mahaa-Kalaa is that expensive BECAUSE it offers a new mechanic where you stand your ground rather than dodging. And this leads to another sin you did Sin 35: The game is punishing. The point of the healing items is to make the game easier but notice how it brings down your score. The game does not want you to use items at all. It's partly why it's not even allowed in the secret Angel Slayer chapter. And onto your point about how Bayonetta should be able to do a quick dance move to restore health... she can. While you were focusing on the Moon of Mahaa-Kalaa, there was another accessory for much cheaper called the Star of Dineta that does exactly that. Sin 66: Every game made by Kamiya has things carried over from previous works. Witch Time was inspired by Viewtiful Joe's slow-motion mechanic. Dante's ability to run up walls in 3 and shoot at two enemies at once was inspired from DMC2. DMC5 borrowed DmC's Doppelganger from that version of Vergil and Dante's ability to hit a wider target area with Rainstorm. Every single game technically has recycled content. But in this case... yeah Kamiya just likes motorbikes. There's nothing quite wrong with that. I'm just surpirsed this recycling content sin wasnt for Bayonetta borrowing Vergil's summoned swords ability when you turn into a crow or the fact that Stiletto with the sword is just DMC's Stinger cause this is... yeah he likes motorbikes. He thinks they're cool. Everything i dont mind. They're all things I either agree with, true, or something that is purely opinion based that I don't personally agree with but they ARE opinions. There was also something about Witch Time early on, Sin 11, but I don't wanna talk about that one. Someone else already did. Other than that tho, good video! I normally see constant cynicism and stupid joke nitpicks whenever I personally tried to find a Everything Wrong With related but this was great 👍 Not expecting anyone to see this I just have a lot of time
I think the angel reacting like that to Cereza is a nod to Angels in most stories wanting to protect the innocent. Cereza is a child and in the eyes of the angel an innocent. (This is what I'm choosing to believe for my own sanity)
4:08 Fun fact with Bayonetta 3 they have confirmed that it is connected to Devil May cry directly thanks to the fact that Bayonetta 3 shows us that it is a multiverse and this part of the multiverse is most likely closer to DmC Devil May cry considering limbo is the place you fight almost all of your enemies in the first two games.
Bayonetta IS a 100+ hour game, there’s a reason the counter of how many times you did a combo goes up to 999. It’s meant to be replayed on every difficulty to get all weapons, accessories and characters. There’s literally a weapon that requires you to complete 100 chapters on normal difficulty or higher. When you unlock a new character you need to create a new game file to play that character so you essentially start for the very beginning. What keeps it from getting boring is that every new character you unlock has different aspects that make them difficult but still fun. Bayonetta: Easiest to pick up, basically the all rounder Jeanne: Only gets witch time if you get bat/ moth within, stronger wicked weaves, gets more combo points, white wicked weaves and climaxes, best voice lines in the game Zero: Dies within 2 hits (or 3 if you have max health), can summon the little devils without the infernal communicator, hilarious cutscenes because his model is too small and he always does his default animation even if the other characters don’t move The gameplay also has way more depth than you first realise. You’re not just limited to the normal combos or linking two combos. You can make air combos that are as long as you please if you’re good enough. Every weapon also has unique uses or interactions that make them useful to some extent. You can also get pure platinum with every weapon combo work if you try hard enough. At the 100 hour mark you just start to pick up on some of the deeper techniques. You need hundreds of hours to actually get good at the game. I suggest watching a series called “Bayonetta combat theory” by @Bone_Z to see what some of the more advanced techniques look like. Bayonetta is also a really hard game, it throws you right into the action with just a very quick tutorial and you’re forced to figure things out on your own. If you don’t learn the mechanics quickly you die a lot. NSIC (Non-stop infinite climax) is ridiculously hard, you have no witch time and constantly get harassed by Grace and Glory who are basically Gracious and Glorious without witch time. There are also some ridiculously hard fight like an alfheim where you fight against 2 Jeannes at the same time but it’s still fun if you’re good at the game. There’s also a secret boss, Rodin, which you fight by purchasing the platinum ticket. He is the hardest boss in the game by far but if you somehow manage to beat him you get the rodin rings which are the most overpowered weapon in the game. Even if you can complete the whole game on NSIC completely pure plat you can still make it even harder by only using the handguns (they’re Scarborough Fair without wicked weaves) and Gaze of Despair which enrages all enemies. If you think Bayonetta is a bad game or that it’s not a 100+ hour game you either haven’t played long enough or are just bad at the game.
i love that the fact that there are clearly city lights on in the fucking 1500s lmao 5:05 this and the martini glass smaller than a pinky are glorious lmao 6:02 as mentioned by Enzo about two minutes prior, she's a witch so she has to sacrifice (kill) angels every day or else her soul gets dragged down to hell and she dies, so that's prolly why
Perhaps platinum’s blocking mechanic is meant for the player to experience what it’s like to actively block every single hit of a boss’s combo, you have to time each and every block right with each incoming hit similarly how you have to actively anticipate every single attack in a real situation rather than lazily blocking and expecting not to take damage since in real life they can easily move around your block. I play MGR and mastered this blocking mechanic, only then could I understand what they were going for.
There is virtually nothing ever wrong in a Kamiya-directed game. They are quite literally always perfect, because they are on a different level of utter ridiculousness.
@SoulWolf2852 these are the only games he directed Resident Evil 2 Devil May Cry Viewtiful Joe Ōkami Bayonetta 1 The Wonderful 101 Sol Cresta there isn't a bad game here, if you're talking about bayonetta 3 he didn't direct it Yusuke Miyata did.
How convenient is it that 2 weeks ago I got Bayonetta to play it eventually but the next game you decide to sin is the game that I was gonna, still gonna play it
Sin on you for not pointing out that when Jeann throws a locket to Bayonetta it's thrown backhanded flat but Bayonetta catches it as if it was thrown with an underhand toss what the Lockett being repositioned as if it were in the up position when thrown
9:15 I assume they did map blocking to controller thump stick due to console controller limitation or they wanted to use the most of it. Another game who did similar thing is God Hand, which they utilised left controller stick to dodge enemies attack.
Thoughts and responses to certain points made here. 3:27 My guess is, Rodin found a way to slip into the coffin without the angels knowing he was there. I mean, the whole routine of staging a fake funeral to lure out angels would only get so far if they were able to identify a trap before they could be lured in. 8:11 Even if the visual aid is an accurate representation of the travel route taken, it could only do so much to showcase the entire trip. Multiple problems could've cropped up to deter the more direct route. Flight delays. Security measures that Bayonetta couldn't use her powers to bypass without leaving behind Enzo. Additional contacts, rendezvous, or work that has to be done along the way. And so on. And so forth. 11:12 I wonder if the brainwashing might've been something that only activated under certain conditions. Like, if certain phrases or signals activated after these first few encounters to make Jeanne actively hinder Bayonetta rather than the subtle goading and playful rivalry that these first few encounters had going. 25:31 Yeah, looking at it now, I can see your point about that prophecy missing some steps between "child born of light and dark" and "causing chaos". 31:47 In universe, the fake funeral at the end could've been Bayonetta giving Jeanne a taste of one of her recurring tactics for luring out angels to fulfill her "angels sacrificed to demons" quota. Or a way to reunite with Luka and assure him she survived her trip into space. Or both. Both also works.
Finally someone pointed out LORE about rodin Rodin was an angel from Paradiso his title was "the infinite one" and had the same rank aka halo as Jubileus herself, he was a weaponsmith crafting weapons for all the angel's of Paradiso and was exited fir doing to good as his job as the weapons were so powerful they could destroy all 3 realms without even using even 10%of its power talk about HOLY SHI-
Now, you know you have to sin the Trifecta of bayonetta. In addition to the Dead Space remake. Glad to see you come back to the classic sin format as well...
I love how he completely ignores the fact that many of the issues he complains about were popular in gaming media at the time. An example being the iconic title drop.

6:02 as mentioned by Enzo about two minutes prior, she's a witch so she has to sacrifice (kill) angels every day or else her soul gets dragged down to hell and she dies, so that's prolly why
Glad to see GCN finally tackle the Bayo series.
God have we missed you so much. Been subbed for about a decade now
There is virtually nothing ever wrong in a Kamiya-directed game. They are quite literally always perfect, because they are on a different level of utter ridiculousness.
This did not age well lmao
@@SoulWolf2852 ?
@@seroujghazarian6343 does he know?
@@SoulWolf2852 wdym?
@SoulWolf2852 these are the only games he directed
Resident Evil 2
Devil May Cry
Viewtiful Joe
Ōkami
Bayonetta 1
The Wonderful 101
Sol Cresta
there isn't a bad game here, if you're talking about bayonetta 3 he didn't direct it Yusuke Miyata did.
Guess we'll have a Luka fail list. Or how Bayonetta and cereza work in story with time travel.
Either way. All set.
How convenient is it that 2 weeks ago I got Bayonetta to play it eventually but the next game you decide to sin is the game that I was gonna, still gonna play it
Please for the love of God do a gaming sims on God hand… PLEAZS
12:20 amongst other things? What else is he chasing 😂😂😂?
Been watching since the classic resident evil 6 sins video. A huge part of my childhood great stuff
Can't wait already.
Sin on you for not pointing out that when Jeann throws a locket to Bayonetta it's thrown backhanded flat but Bayonetta catches it as if it was thrown with an underhand toss what the Lockett being repositioned as if it were in the up position when thrown
It's always great to see one of these videos on the timeline
I wasn't expecting this so soon, so this was a great way to end the month
25:45 she had clothes that werent her hair
Or both. Both also works.
i'm just happy to see you back GCN.
I love the stylised subtitles
Finally someone pointed out LORE about rodin
Rodin was an angel from Paradiso his title was "the infinite one" and had the same rank aka halo as Jubileus herself, he was a weaponsmith crafting weapons for all the angel's of Paradiso and was exited fir doing to good as his job as the weapons were so powerful they could destroy all 3 realms without even using even 10%of its power talk about HOLY SHI-
Glad to see you're still around
You mentioned Metal Gear Rising several times in this video. Could you at some point make a video on that game? I'd love to see this.
can’t watch it yet but glad to see you upload
Will watch with great expectation Kidd Atari 🤟🤟
Iirc the button mash isn't a thing you need for the climax to work, it's just to get more halos
Ok this is just a question, what would you think if Devil may cry and Bayonetta had a crossover hack and slash game?
Going in for the kill....doing it for the thrill! Is all I remember from the original trailer
Well fuck me sideways and say it's a new released a new video and honestly makes me very happy to see you still making them.
Now, you know you have to sin the Trifecta of bayonetta. In addition to the Dead Space remake. Glad to see you come back to the classic sin format as well...
are u using a reshade preset? and if u are which one is it cuz ur game looks nice
THE MIGHTY LORD OF JUDGMENT HAS RETURNED!! Praise be to the mighty gaming gods for him to return when needed most!
I love how he completely ignores the fact that many of the issues he complains about were popular in gaming media at the time. An example being the iconic title drop.
This. Is gonna be good. As Always
The Legend is back!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
16:17 ...oh God that's even worse knowing that somewhere along the line ammy got a baby
Sin 37 that quick time event was most of my deaths in bayonetta 1
I mean Sinners go to hell. Let's see how many sins that Bayonetta have
16:46
I’m dying right now… shit caught me off guard.
Oh god it’s finally time for this one
25:42 it is stated that the red clothing is her biker outfit, i dont really know why she only wore it on this segment though.
25:44 Jeanne was wearing an outfit made from red fabric, not from her white hair.
They're back! TH-cam is saved!
I do with this channel would post more than once every 24 months. I remember when GCN and Dartigan used to be heated rivals, way back when.
Yes. But GCN has become his own thing while Dartigan's videos are still cringe. GCN has improved his sinning and become a legit Gamingsins channel while Dartigan still does cringe unfunny jokes and no gameplay sins. Only story mode sins.
@@cloudman5788 Unfortunately they both do the same bad grave decision.
The sound of the game is quiet, narrators voice is louder or sometimes more quiet than the sound of the game , and the s1n ring is incredibly loud.
WHY?!!??!
@@Leonard_Wolf_2056 I am not particularly bothered by the fact that there's no background music playing while they are narrating so that their voices don't get drowned by the music. As for the game sounds, they are present but are quietened when sinning so that we can hear their voices explaining the issues of the game properly. The sin ding came from Cinemasins though. It's kind of a must have tbh.
Jeanne’s Outfit was red because that Outfit was not her hair
Damn, the legend himself is back!!
Oh i am ready for this and he has returned
Great video as always
Can’t wait to hear what you have to say about Dead Space I’ve played the original and I’ve only heard positive things about the remake
Good video, not great, but probably the best "Everything Wrong with" video I ever watched.
that noti kicked in at the best moment 😭🙏🏾
Well done GCN, welcome back!
Will you do a EWW with any of the Dark Pictures Anthology games?
That Ammy comment and the mention of Bayonetta 3... yeah, that's weird.
"She's not on the level of Vergil or Jetstream Sam. But to be fair, who is?"
How about Sephiroth?
Is he gonna mention the Helena Taylor drama here? If so, I might need some more popcorn
EDIT: yes, he did
8:22 I can sense her discomfort saying this
Are you going to make gaming sing video about Red Dead Redemption 2?
