I always get stuck on when I try to combine synth sounds with other sounds. I hope these tips are going to help… but it is kind of hard to follow your video because your “mix” is entirely imaginary. I think it would have made sense to add some other instruments and to do the illustrations of what fits in the mix and what doesn’t fit in the mix by trying these pads out with the other instruments.
Maybe I can do a mixing synths video and show what I have done on a number of finished tracks. I think that will be the best way to show the techniques rather than just talking about them.

Thanks! I am hearing a bit of weird distortion in "No so basic pad", my ears are not so well calibrated or it is by design?
By design, I love to push the pads a little more to give them a rougher sound.
