@@alfaatih637 You bet. I manage a Safety/Security team for my church and we took 3 handgun courses this year, Each class was 600 rounds in approximately a 6 hour period. I just won a civilian shoot in my hometown with my Elite. Took 300 bucks with it while everyone s tricked out Glocks couldn't keep up. That trigger is ridiculaous.
Hey seriously thinking about getting this pistol. How would you categorize the recoil? I love 1911's and CZ's/design so that is my primary reference point as well as a Ruger SR9c.... I almost wish they had this in 40 and 45 as well. Cheers guys this gun is on my short list.
acehighflyer123 It won't be as soft shooting as a steel framed CZ, but will be smoother than the SR9 series. I shot the TP9SF at my local range and ordered the Elite last night.
Thanks that helps me with my expectations of the gun. Good to hear, I would love to read some initial thoughts when you have put a couple of mags through it, much appreciated. It is in the running with the new Rock Island Armory TAC Ultra CS one being about half the cost of the other one. The SF Elite will be my first personally owned poly gun even though plenty of my family have owned poly platform guns and I off course have shot plenty of them as well.
Congrats! When I go to the range with my V2 people think it is a Match pistol, based on the " knots" it shoots on my target. Not a single person at the range knew what Canik brands were. I have Sigs and Glocks but for the money this TP9 series is a steal. Congrats again!
I concur with your assessment: it's a high quality handgun, Canik has an excellent quality control. I own the TP9DA and a TP9SF, both excellent modern combat handguns. I like the "elite" model, but I just prefer the 18-1 rounds capacity with a slightly larger barrel on the other TP 9's. Canik are in fact superior handguns 💪🏼😎🇺🇲 My next addition: the SFX.
I just looked at this yesterday and it feels great. I am a Glock fan (owning 9) and love to do all the different upgrades to my Glocks...but for an out of the box comparison of the two the Canik is the way to go. My next gun purchase will be the Canik for sure...I'm trying to widen the spectrum of my gun collection...there's only so many Glocks one can own :)...I hope to do as good of a review as you did on my channel.
Gerald Weldin hey, don't sell yourself short. You can never, ever, own too many Glocks. Either way, the Canik is excellent. Can't go wrong with one of these at all.
MustyYetisTacticalHQ oh believe me I will continue to buy more Glocks...I'm just trying to tell myself that so I do get the Canik and not walk out of the shop with another Glock like I always do.
I'm buying one, I've had the Canik tp9 v2 for over a year and probably put 1500-2000 round through it with zero problems. The trigger is so much better than my glock 17
great review just got one a couple of weeks ago. it is great right out of the box. I carried my tp9sa for a few months with no problem and the elite feels good. Thanks for the review.
James Thomas well everyone is different. That's good you like to, and can carry the Canik. It's just a bit too big for me... but excluding EDC, this pistol is great.
Love Glocks well known reliability and aftermarket, but I couldn’t pass up the TP9 elite for $299. Out of the box, a far better pistol. Shot nice groups first time out and couldn’t stop smiling.
I've been thinking about getting one. I believe you just made my mind up. The things everyone bitches about are, high bore axis, and weight, and like you those things aren't important to me. I think, it comes from, shooting revolvers a lot when younger. Anyway, thanks for the suggestion.
Jeremy Smith well I honestly don't think you could go wrong with this pistol. I would definitely try to get yours hands on one first. I try to avoid blind gun purchases like that. Again, this pistol is great, and you won't regret it, but everyone is different. Check it out first if you can. Take care and thanks for watching.
I purchased this as my first, I think it was about $370 after taxes and fees (I live in a garbage state), so it was a good price. I assume I'll buy more at some point, but for now, this seems to be a solid purchase.
Nice review. I didn't hear of the Canik's until a couple months ago & I've seen nothing but great reviews. I just ordered my 1st which is the TP9SFx. I got it for $470 shipped & out the door. Not a bad price at all. Think the Elite will be my next purchase.
I have an SFX which is my zombie apocalypse gun. 21 rounds of 9mm stock and the aftermarket is up to 30+. There's a lot more aftermarket support for these guns in 2019 (grips, sights, barrels, triggers, magazines, holsters, springs, etc).
I love mine.. for the money, it is one of the better guns I’ve fired.. took it out to the range the other day .. fired about 150 rounds .. 9 out of 10 shots were centered mast..
I am 66 years old, arthritis in both hands. This gun is a good gun for me, easy to handle I shoot well with it, gives me no problems. I try and get 124 grain nato ammo for it, since the spring is a bit heavy and the gun was designed for it. I like this gun a lot, take it to the range at least twice a month. I have another 9 MM and 2 380's. This is one of my favorite guns. Some people have complained about stovepipe issues with them, break it in with 124 nato and it will then work fine. I have had no issues with it.
Lot of great pistols to choose from today, but can't think of a better one in this price range. It's a joy to shoot and makes me feel a little, just a little, more knowledgeable than name brand snobs.
Hey dude really cool video! THANK U! you said it looks very nice and I agree with you I have everything from a five-seven I've carried a Glock 19 for about 20 years M&P9C & also the shield.. and I prefer the Canik Elite I just bought the s model because the trigger so freakin light because I said hell it doesn't get in the way and sometimes my girl moves my gun around in the house and for safety reasons. During my concealed carry it's a little bigger than the Glock but my body will adapt after a couple weeks, no big deal👍
get ahold of Century Arms they will send you an updated recoil spring so now you will have two, one for plus P ammunition or nato spec and one for standard pressures. just be prepared to wait a little bit it took me 2 months to receive it apparently they had to wait on a shipment from Turkey.
My brother got the sf elite and for his first pistol it’s great we did have 2 fail to fire in first 50 but nothing in the next 1k rounds so I equate that to a break in period shoot great love the warren tactical sights and amazing trigger for the price try one I’d you get the chance
I ordered one of these because of an article I saw on Guns America about how it was used to assassinate a Russian diplomat.... Over the last day or two i’ve looked at many reviews both video and print. The vast majority were, like this one, very positive. Thanks for confirming my choice!
I have been thinking of getting my first pistol. I was looking at a good quality gun at a decent price I was going to get the Walther Creed but this pistol is in the same price range but comes with more bells and whistles
The Tp9 series is hard to beat for the quality, cost, performance and accessories. Inown the V2 but the Elite is the nicest looking of them all. I am a fan of the de-cocker and second strike ability. That was the reason I choose the V2 over the Elite.
The Canik Elite is based on the design of the Walther PPQ. For the same amount of money, would you rather pay for the Walther name and get the Creed, or get the better gun? At that price point I’d go with the Elite... which I did.
Musty Yeti did u have any issues on the ejection having shells some what dribble out of ejection port? Several people had that issue on 124, and 147 grain rounds not so much the 115 rounds but people still claim 4/5 years ago they don’t spit the shells out far enough they claim it could be a guide rod spring issue what is your thoughts.

Lil J - The first 500 Elites shipped with a stronger spring that was tuned for NATO (higher pressure) rounds. They now ship with a weaker spring that works better with target loads. So, weak ejection isn’t something to worry about unless you buy a used gun with a serial number of 510 or less.
For me yes. Most put it up there with the “best” the PPQ. Im a huge CZ fan, but my TP9 elite is hands down my favorite. Even my Styre L9 trigger (one of the best also) has a better reset, but little tactile feel, doesn’t quite measure up to the TP9.
Mike J - show me a pistol that comes from the factory with more features than the Elite. Sure, it’s not for everybody. But not everyone wants to spend $500 - $600 on a stock gun and then drop $100 ~ $300 on aftermarket sights and trigger parts in order to be on par with the Canik Elite. It’s the best “Out of the Box” pistol on the market. Especially at its meager $400 price tag.
I just traded a Glock 19 Gen 3 for my SF Elite. Man did I get the better end of the deal!
Just i will question that, in a few days a i'll buy a canike tp9 fs Elite, do you think is superior than glock?
