    I've owned several Canik firearms.
    The trigger is phenomenal.
    I've ran a multitude of diffent ammo through all of them. I've never had a single malfunction with any of the Canik firearms.

      guntubers running shitty freedommunitions reloads in it. the velocity on that ammo is around 850 fps thats stupid weak for 9mm and they wonder why the caniks heavy recoil spring doesn't feed it well . dummies my Canik has also been flawless with all ammo

    Called Century Arms this morning and they said that any last 3 numbers of the serial number is above 511 they replaced the springs in them. If you have a gun under 511 call them and they will send out a new spring free.

    I've purchased my first gun on this video last week. A little bit nervous to try it out in the range soon but I'm excited too. Thanks for posting this video which helped me a lot to better assess the mechanics of the gun. I've subscribed this channel and planning to visit frequently and get educated myself.

    I've watched a ton of vids on this weapon and you're the only one who mentioned needing a 6 o'clock hold. That's interesting. Mine is on the way, so I guess I'll see what my experience will yield.

    My Elite was also purchased post ejection issue... But be aware of excessive dry firing without snap caps. I dry fired a lot to help manage anticipation. The striker pin broke at about 400 rounds. I was doing this without snap caps. Canik replaced the striker assembly and I installed it myself. The turn around time after I submitted the warranty request took a little over 2 wks. I'm have about 1500 rounds thru it now with no issues. Still dry firing, but with snap caps. And accurate as F**** :) Absolutely LOVE this gun!

      Thank you! I agree. Hopefully the issues many have had (especially on TH-cam) helped drive them to make some needed changes. It really is a sweet shooter. Thanks brother.

      Yea, that's what they did for 1776 or Bust, makes sense that maybe it was just too stiff for standard bulk ammo

    I have purchased an Elite several weeks ago took it to the range, crossed my fingers said a small prayer. 100 rds of 115 gr and 50 rds of 124 gr. shot flawlessly. No issues what so ever. It must be a good one, Possible with the new recoil spring and rod. Great video.

      @KSGunGuy01  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the comment and that's great to hear Michael! I understand that the initial batch or two had issues, but they have since been ironed out. Glad yours is doing well. It's a great shooter for sure!

  • @lkjh00on89
    @lkjh00on89 7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    My understanding is Canik became aware of the ejection issue (too much spring) on the Elite and (similar to Glock's early Gen 4's) made the necessary changes, and remedied the issue.

    Good video.My Elite is a softer shooter than my new Gen 4 Glock 19,I also shot better with it too.Once these guns are broken in,they are keepers.Mine had the weak ejection problems at first but now it's running just fine.I used hotter rounds and also left the slide racked back for a few days.Now there's no problem with the cheaper target rounds.

    • @KSGunGuy01
      @KSGunGuy01  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the comment and complement! That's great to hear about the Canik running well after breaking in. I think Canik has had some early issues with the Elite, but once everything is ironed out, they really are good guns. Who knows, maybe they will have a subcompact soon! Cheers

    I have a TP9 SF Elite.I have a Lasermax Spartan on the front which is a light/laser. it does balance the front of the weapon out so when you pull the trigger it is easier to aim more toward the middle of the target without the front flip. Just wanted to let you know that. I Love the weapon even though I find it hard to find a holster for it with the laser/light attached

    Great in depth video!! Thank you!! You sir have a keeper for sure and I hope the one I buy performs just like yours does! I held one yesterday at my local academy and noticed it was fairly easy to rack the slide compared to other guns of its size and caliber..is your gun this way or is it pretty stiff?

    • @KSGunGuy01
      @KSGunGuy01  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Great to hear from you Fowler! Actually, my recoil spring was pretty stiff. It's softened up a little, but it's still as heavy as a PPQ spring. PM me if you want the dates on my gun. That may help you identify a newer one. Thanks as always!

    I will never buy WWB after having a live round get stuck so tight in my chamber the ejector ripped off part of the rim (P-07). Happened twice in one 150rd range box. Should I have checked the ammo? Probably but I've never had an issue with any other ammo manufacturers

    • @KSGunGuy01
      @KSGunGuy01  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well I took my elite out shooting today ran about 150 rounds of blazer and armscore mix 115 gr 0 malfunctions 👍so far so good. My take away was it really does have a good trigger, I like the sights, the feel of the gun as far as ergonomics was good but the controls kinda get in the way of where I like to hold my thumbs when shooting. Overall the elite was VERY enjoyable to shoot imo even more so than my glock 17 prolly because of the trigger. I am glad I went ahead and bought this gun I hope it continues to be reliable. In case any one is wondering the date on my gun case was 2/17.

    Ammo shouldn’t matter! It should be able to shoot anything you feed it. Like H&K or a Sig or a Glock .
