@@MyMothersKitchen thanks so much - I had bought bottom round roast, so I am hoping it being lean meat will work as well. And for the meat masala, do I use the garam masala recipe on your channel?
@@MyMothersKitchen Thanks for the reply. It turned out well, but felt like the pepper I used was a bit strong, so it overpowered the flavor a little. I used about 250 gm of onions. I felt it needed more - will bump it up to 350 next time, and also use more curry leaves (PS: Would be very useful if you can specify onions by weight) The major learning from the video was to let the beef lose its water and then cook until dry before mincing. It made a world of difference to the texture. And the same with cooking the onions. Those fundamentals were important and hope you continue to focus on coooking techniques as much as laying out the recipes. Next up - your chicken mappas :)

Your directions were fantastic! I appreciate the English translations since my comprehension of Malayalam is not the greatest. Auntie, please do a video of how to make the meat masala. I used my mom's masala podi and my husband was saying that something was missing.. couldn't figure out what it was. The cutlets were devoured in 2 days. (45 cutlets.) Thank you for taking the time to make this video and I am going to try your ulli theeyal recipe next!

Hiaunty, what do you mean by seasoned breadcrumbs, hope i will get in stores.
Yes, you can find it in most stores. It is called seasoned or Italian breadcrumbs. But you don't need to use that, regular breadcrumbs are also fine.
Your beef curry recipe is just superb. Just made it. Tasted just like my dear mummy's beef curry. Thanks for your detailed presentation.
