Maybe I’m watching something different but only one who seems to actually enjoy himself these days is Shavo. Darron and especially Serj, just seem to go through the motions 😕 I get age etc but watch this and then watch Slipknot from the same festival. They’re of a similar age and still go hard and but plenty of energy into there performances . No one’s expecting them be like they were in 2001 but come on , this is just sad to watch at this point
@@Themaskplagueso true. Serj’s voice is meh, Daron looks bored, Shavo is into it and John’s drumming is on point. Half the band is there, half isn’t..imo

Saw them on their first tour, the footage is on TH-cam search: System of a Down Sugar Live Chicago 1998! It was at the metro, I'm somewhere in there! 😊

@@lifemusiclive. exactly. I hate this excuse with the age thing. Slipknot went waaaaay harder back in the day yet still bring a great energy today and they’re all of the same age . No one expects SOAD to be the same as they were 20 years ago but this is just embarrassing

Darren's change from clean to dirty sound on the guitar is completely seamless and perfect. not sure how he does it
Yeah I was always intrigued by his change of tone/effects. He doesn't seem to have any pedalboard.

He has a person who changes the effects. I've been to 2 shows and I've seen it. It can also be seen in other pro videos
