I just got my 2022 extended cab, six cylinder, 8 speed transmission, 4x4. It seems when it's cold it shifts hard to second gear. Let me know if this leads into bigger problems for you. No shudder yet
Same at 108k miles 2017 v6 8speed hard shift from 1-2 then its not bad hasnt gotten any worse over the last 40k miles and i drive it really hard to be honest trifecta tuned helped the transmission in many ways but not the 1-2 hard shift
I now have 12,000 miles but problem has existed since I purchased it new in May of 2022 (problem has been steadily getting worse). Only shifts hard on first use after sitting all night. Seems like the longer my truck sits (I sometimes don't drive it for several days) the harder it shifts that first time, then if is fine the rest of the day.
Its almost like it is low on fluid, i have a 2022 also, i put a B&M stainless braided transmission dipstick on it, works perfect, i know to check trans level on these trucks you make sure the fluid is at operating temp on level ground,& you take out the little drain plug on the pan, first of all the warmest i have ever gotten the fluid to was like 112 degs. Operating temp they say is 135degs. , long story short when i removed the plug to maintain proper fluid level , it seems like it is too low, so i added a little at a time it seemed to improve performance & mpg, it seems like every slight hill it down shifts , im not completely satisfied to be honest..
@watershed44 the truck is just under 9000km when it goes in for the 10,000 km oil change i will have the transmission flush done will keep you in the loop

my ZR2 does the same thing. first shift of every morning. Except during the summer. Did you figure it out?
Chevy says its normal..... ya sure it is ...just keep a eye on it and make sure the dealership understands whats going on and its on record

@@yetirider4346 Do you have an update about your transmission? Has anything changed? Did the dealer do a transmission drain and fill yet?

@@yetirider4346 Appreciate that! I'm hoping everything stays good for you on the truck.
