Through the wildest canyon I have ever been - do I need to immigrate to do this?

Hiking through one of the wildest and longest canyons here in southern Austria. At the same time, I ask myself if moving to a new country is a requirement to experience and do this sort of thing or not. We often lack the curiosity and motivation to get out in places we think we know. People often tell me: "I have lived here my whole life but never been there." Being in a new country we tend to visit more places and experience everything with a new curiosity. What does it take to have the same experience staying "at home" wherever that is.
I also managed to break my phone on this hike. To hike 3 hours longer than I thought, geht caught by the rain.
