I had never seen this video, but I have been told about it many times by the man who produced it - my friend Jack Cashill. A man of letters to be sure, he's a member of our FSSP parish in Kansas City, St. Rose Philippine Duchesne Catholic Church.
To save the Mass: turn the altars around, re-install the communion rail; say the Last Gospel at each Mass; prohibit communion in the hand; say the Mass in Latin and eliminate the "kiss of peace". For starters....
Bj. Agree. And begin the Mass with Psalm 42 and prayers at Foot of the Altar. The Latin Mass has double the number of prayers as the Novus Ordo rite. Attend the Latin Mass.
One has to Ask one self! Where did the liturgy war come from? We wouldn’t have to fight for the one ☝️ true Mass , the TLM if it they would’ve have changed the TLM to the Novus Ordo aka New Order Mass! It began before Vatican II even though St. Pope Pius the V canonized the TLM and said let any other rite be anathema!
There is an institutional connection that we retain in spite of the sins of prelates. We pray for the pope in the Canon of the Mass. We follow him in all ways in which he can be followed, but where he cannot, we refuse. Moreover, there has been no adjudication that the pope is a formal and pertinacious heretic. He is certainly a material heretic and likely worse, but it's not my business or yours to declare some kind of binding judgment.
@@DrKwasniewski I agree, but the problems starts when we refuse and he doesn’t like it! Those who refuse are not schismatics, they do not reject the church, they just follow and defend the truth teachings of Jesus. I’m not talking about the video, just about what it’s happening now. Better times ever to live the white martyrdom! A truly privilege. Deo Gratias! And yes! I pray for our pope every single day!
Shame this documentary frames the SSPX as schismatic. But seeing the times we are in now, we know that in spite of the hype this documentary has for the (Former) Ecclesia Dei communities, Tradition is still struggling to reassert it's rights back into the heart of the Church. I'll always contend that without Abp. Lefevbre and his Society, these other communities would not be founded. He will be a saint and doctor after the Crisis abates.
@@matthewschmidt5069 Pope Leo XIII teaches, “When a law is enacted contrary to reason, or to the eternal law, or to some ordinance of God, obedience is unlawful, lest while obeying man, we become disobedient to God.” St. Robert Bellarmine teaches: “Thus, as it is lawful to resist a Pontiff who attacks the body, so it is lawful to resist a Pontiff who attacks the soul… especially if one who would strive to destroy the Church. I say that it is lawful to resist him in not doing what he orders, and putting obstacles to the execution of his will.” St. Catherine of Siena said, "There is a time, when those who obey, obey to their own condemnation." That's what this is about, the highest virtue is Charity not Obedience, and the Love of God demands protecting that which Our Lord lived and died for. Such an ultramontane position that you hold cannot be justified with a crisis of this magnitude in the Church. We recognize those who sit in the chairs as the legitimate persons to sit in the chairs, but we resist them when they say and do anything contrary to what their office demands.

@@jslice3163You can’t just misquote papal documents and misinterpret canon law to just do whatever you want. Also lip service at mass is not enough. One has to recognize the Roman Pontiff and submit to him as well as not refuse communion with other Catholics. The SSPX fails on the latter two by refusing to submit to the Roman Pontiff and by advising their faithful to not attend or commune at the New Rite of mass these things are serious problems that have to be addressed. I am not saying that you have to attend the New Rite of mass I myself rarely if ever attend it anymore yet we can not refuse to commune with other Catholics in communion with Rome. This attitude also lends itself into having the SSPX essentially act as the infallible interpreter of the infallible magisterium and just picking and choosing when to obey it based on their own criteria this is not acceptable. The SSPX is not in full communion with Rome it is at best in a state of Irregular Canonical status. Their priests are not incardinated into any diocese and their Churches are not canonically considered to even be parishes or Catholic Churches even.
@@matthewschmidt5069 Okay, I'll give you one simple example. Tell me how Dignitatis Humanae (promulgated by Paul VI and a Council) is not the exact opposite of Pius IX's "Syllabus of Errors." Does a Catholic now need a doctorate in phenomenology to reconcile two sets of teachings which directly contradict each other so that he doesn't risk observing the obvious: that ONE of them is wrong.
Really we do now live in a time of ‘sauve qui peut’ in the Church. Calling the SSPX schismatic when Francis is apparently willing to give his Primacy away to the Orthodox and Protestants is just absurd.
Something went clearly wrong with the Ecclesia Dei communities. This is clear even before Motu Proprio and Traditionis Custodes. I find it difficult to accept the Ecclesia Dei priestly fraternities being compromised with modern errors, the Assisi scandals, and so many other sad betrayals of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Man so Solid. So Solid Dr Peter k. Funny to see a young monsenior Wach when I was pleased to see him this past weekend.
I would recomend everyone to listen to what the late Fr. Hesse had to say. His talks on Ecclesia Dei are very good and eye opening.
Agreed. Fr. Hesse has many superb insights.
May Latin Mass maybe preserve until the second coming…
I knew Father Dunn very well in his last days in California. God rest his soul.

How can I be fully in communion with the Pope when he is peddling heresy and heterodoxy ?
I respect the Pope as the successor of Peter, but I try to avoid seeing or listening to him, as he teaches errors and does wrong
