We, the engineers, should do some kind award for people, who actually help other people to be passionate about engineering and technical stuff. You would win platinum award. Great !
You have the best Autodesk Inventor channel on YT the way you explain things is funny and informative and your channel has helped me a lot as a beginner.
That was exactly what I was looking for but never found...
And boom! My favourite TH-camr shows up with exactly this topic!
Thank You so much for doing this
You sir, i like you! finally i found someone who gives good tips and tricks on inventor and also is not boring to follow and listen. thank you! keep making great videos :)
I love your work, always helps me think of new ways to wrangle Inventor. Keep up the great work!
Thanks, this is a life saver! It literally would have taken a lifetime to do it manually.
I started to watch this on the train out of kings x tonight and had to stop cause they filled the train to max out .got home and the wife was watching coronation Street. man oh man am I glad you do great Inventor tutorials .much better plot than phil Mitchells latest antics .Cheers Robb
I think... I think once you have people watching you whilst on a train in London, I think that's when you know you've made it haha Thanks man. p.s. Phil Mitchell is Eastenders though right?
Mate, you're a legend. Really well explained and entertaining to boot. I make inventor videos for school kids. Wish I could swear as well! But such is life :)
Select the glasses check box to enable the preview function.
+Scott Sherbahn Haha I know, it deselected itself somehow about 10 minutes before I started recording and because I didn't untick it, I didn't think to check for it at the time. I've put an annotation on the video to point it out. Annoying but I can't be arsed to pull the video and redo it just for that!
👍
@@Neil3D I believe it's question of performance
hey thanks for the excellent tutorial. I needed to do a big(many) hex pattern, after the first time manually selecting everything I got fed up. That led me to figure out why the window select doesn't work right. It has to do with the way you are generating the pattern, most of those lines are actually double lines and that confuses the hell out of inventor. If you pattern in a manor where the space in between patterns forms every other hex, then you only have 1 line on each hex edge and multi select works fine. Although executing the command takes a few minutes.
Thank you so much, for great walk thru and teaching!, much appreciated.
Your videos are top notch. Always look to you when i get hung up at work. With that said the Anger sharks are swimming. Im trying to do a grill with over 1000 ribs and have to select them 1 by 1. What kind of crap is that
can you show how to add costurm text / logo on the grill sir ?
and on sheet metal
ty sir
Do you have a video where you demonstrate how to 'knurl' a surface, such as creating a diamond pattern grip on a cylinder? If not, could you please give me a brief description on how you would go about that in an efficient manner? Thanks
Ah yes the old garden stone underestimating. I thought 2 bags would be enough to cover the small area in front of my shed, 12 bags later it was finally covered 😆
yes quite right Phil Mitchell is east enders .I get a bit confused after she has watched Emerdale, East Enders, and then Coronation Street. keep the Vids coming their the only thing keeping me sain . Robb
Silly comment time. The little glasses as bottom of the grill box is the preview.
Thanks for solving my speaker grill need :-)
Problem I have is I made a honeycomb grill with a circular profile, and well when it creates the feature the edge of the ribs don't mate up with the circular profile because they re not all perpindicular to the circular profile. Is there a fix for this?
Got it working great on plain solid objects but if I try it on something that's already had extrusion cuts done on it (fan mounting vent boss) I get the unhelpful error 'modelling failure'.
Is there a way to create array pattern inside the boundary?
Can you do a video on BOM's and Revision Tables
does this grill need charcoal in order to operate and to grill the parts
At 5:30 Dont you have to press the glasses icon at the bottom to get a preview?
+Liam Cotton I shit you not the preview was working about 5 minutes before I started recording and I categorically didn't untick that button, I didn't even think to check it because I know I didn't deselect it!! But yes you're right, the preview isn't working because that has unticked itself! Good spot, I'll put a caption on the video.
Awesome video! :)
Thanks sir!
in surface cylynder??
I don't have a 3D printer but if I did I would make a grill and name it George Foreman ;)
Dont work rips in the middle always disappear
"Ladles and jellyspoons."
I'm done. I'm so done. Goodnight everybody!
Is here a way to mirror pieces in an assembly without inventor making whole new parts for them?
Which CAD mouse are you using TFI?
3DConnexion CAD Mouse
Is this just how to grill or are smokers welcome?
Ahhhhh ....... Cool
does it work on curved surface?
2:32 is your answer :)
How do you navegate like this ??
