Why should I charge someone the same advice they can get for free on TH-cam? There is more than enough information out there from Dave on TH-cam. If someone really wants to know what to do, and seems willing to change their behavior, they can learn everything I know for free? So by becoming a mentor, they'll pay me just to encourage them? Seems strange & unnecessary.
Same reason people hire personal trainers to get fit or lose weight. Accountability and or support.
You are also making the assumption that people can do it on their own, but if they could, they would, but they're not, so they may need help.
"Why would I go to school when all of the information is online?"
"Why would I go to a restaurant if I can make the same recipe I found on youtube?"
"Why would I go to a mechanic when I could look up the fix on the internet?"
