I love this. I personally would rather be over prepared than under prepared. Have been that way since having my kids. This video gave me a few ideas to add to my car. Something I have in my car that I didn't notice in yours was I keep hand sanitizer, Lysol wipes, first aid kit and a trash can ( I could have missed it)...but thought I'd mention.
You gave me at least a years worth of gift ideas for my husband. Birthday, Christmas, anniversary etc. are covered! 😂

Really nice definitely missing rain guards for the front animated back windows I've always thought that was a good look for trucks that little plastic guards to go over the windows so you don't get rained on

Love it! I get so much push back from my husband thinking I;m crazy that I am not that prepared. But you asked if your missing something. TOILET PAPER :)
Start small. Carry things like tweezers, bandaids, a small tin with Motrin, a lighter with a couple wraps of duck tape around it, a small Olight flashlight, a couple disposable rain ponchos, and a folding spork. Eventually he will need something and you will be the one to provide it. That’s when you get him! You simply smile and say, “arent you glad I was prepared?” After that it’s a slippery slope lol

We have Mylar blankets in the trauma kit and when we travel each of the girls love to carry a throw blanket in the vehicle.
I love my Ford Ranger 4x4 so much looks just like yours, my Dad go me a solar panel that sits over the bed of the truck, a refrigerator for my beer oops meant water and a Awning on the side for some shade.. Can beat a 4x4 for travelling. Love it ❤ thanks for showing us your truck Asa ❤

Definitely would be interested in a video about both the box and your bag. Always up for different views on preparation, being a bit paranoid myself. 😊 But my grown son borrowed my car and was at a outdoor music gig and it poured most of the weekend. He used the car oil to start a bonfire, ziploc bags to keep his feet dry in soaked shoes, tow straps and bungie cords to tie down the tarp over the stage ect. LOL He calls me a paranoid dirty hippie but was very grateful mom had a lot of stuff in the car! Not my first rodeo on having to go fast and maybe not return.

You just gave me so many ideas for gifts for my hubby.
I have a couple in the BOB box along with a butane stove kit. I even have a folding extra long spork for reaching down in the pouch lol. That’s another thing that’s needs that water in the back.
Being in New England we keep our trucks packed very similarly especially in the winter of course we include extra cold gear, blankets and fire starters. Always best to be prepared. PS the wireless hole punch is the best thing I have heard in years im stealing that term.

We have the 2500HD crew cab long bed that has now brought us to 38 states Towing our 36ft travel trailer! We stay for weeks in each location and explore everywhere! Almost at 200k miles and we love our truck still. Love your truck

Always be prepared! You'll never regret having it. You could get a case of MRE's, keep a couple in the truck. We have a couple in each vehicle
We have a few cases in the house and a few pouches in the BOBs. I always look for them on sale

It's called a kinetic rope. The rope stretches and releases its kinetic (stored/potential) energy when it snaps back. That's what gives it the ability to yank out a heavier vehicle.
Yes, mooring lines on ships will do the same thing. When I was in the Coast Guard we would acquire the lines that were being disposed of to use for our 4x4s. Snatch strap sounds a lot cooler though.
Very interesting and good ideas! I also have an extra pair of shoes in my trunk, along with a blanket. I think you might be prepared for anything! Another thing you are missing is an MRE but maybe you have those in that locked box.

Before I got sick I was always prepared car work and home. Now nothing because I don’t have a car and I don’t work and I don’t have a home I’m lucky to have a roof over my head and food for the day. It’s very unnerving
You need a pack of cards and possibly a small book of card game set ups. Stuck somewhere for a short while, you can play solitare, hanging with friends you can play cards games, need a way to divide up chores (lowest goes).

My husband and I have the truck you had like two trucks ago, just white. Haha I want to add some tint to the truck because I have it on my buick enclave and love it!! It helps prevent the arm sunburn, it feels just a little cooler on long drives and gives some privacy too. I also have the eyebrow tint on the front windshield because the sun is just too much. Must wear sunglasses or I feel like I can’t see. Not sure exactly what they are called but you could get some like inside window privacy shields for all of the windows. That way if anyone needs to change clothes or needed full privacy for whatever reason you would have it.
Yes please to a video on the bail out box. It's always nice to get ideas from other people and you've already given me some great ones, especially the water. I didn't realize their were smaller containers like that, that I could safely leave in my truck. I've had a bug out bag for years and right now I'm working on building up a trauma kit to go with it.

I think any and all vehicles should carry a window break tool
I saw a random video awhile back comparing window break tools. From what they tested, make sure it’s a good one! Most of the cheap ones on Amazon simply wouldn’t work without a lot of force.

PS: your truck needs a manual transmission and a portable generator for when all those electronics fry your alternator. It’s happened to every GM product I’ve ever owned. Even the one with a stick shift.

I don’t keep one daily in the truck but both of the ladies bring one on road trips. They love their blankets.

I like yankem ropes. You should just get an under rail mount tool box. Under rail should fit under the cover.
It won’t open with the cover. The cover has about 6 inches of space where it attaches and hinges. I’m a big fan of totes because they can easily be removed to gain access to the full capacity of the bed

I actually got them from Walmart. They were a great price there. Amazon has them but the price is double.
I’m not a prepper but do love roadtrips and van camping so this was fascinating! However, the discount for the fridge doesn’t work for me. I’ve been shopping for a van fridge for a while and want to grab one while on a good deal.

No, it’s too wide for that but the key that’s inside the key fob will do it

What does ALL the people mean? Is that some kind of racism or bigotry dog whistle? I’m not sure I understand the question but it seems divisive by implication. “We The People” (the first three words of the preamble of the constitution) means the government exists to serve the citizens, not the other way around. It signifies that the government has its power because we gave it to them and we can take it away. “We” is all natural born citizens and naturalized citizens within the borders of our nation. So no, I suppose it doesn’t mean ALL people…it means all Americans.

I'll reiterate the gist though, the black American flag and the words 'We the People' are used by members of a certain cult for a political candidate, they typically come with a Punisher logo and a certain catchphrase/acronym for that candidate; I'm a "degenerate" in that group's minds, so I need to ensure my safety in this community since you exhibit those symbols. That, along with the 'wireless hole puncher' which was started to make fun of non-binary individuals and their pronouns, doesn't give me much hope. I would Love to be proven wrong though!
