Yes, and once you are ready to put the kayak in the water you simply lift up on the back of the kayak and the cart slips easily out of the scupper holes.
You did not show how you got the transducer into the compartment on the 12.5 Passport. I cannot find a way to attach it to the cover arms that go upward. I see that you have a strip of velcroe on the cover. Garmin says in must have 3/8 inch of water separating it from the cover. Can you please explain in detail how you got that Garmin striker plus 4 transducer to fit correctly in the compartment? Thanks
Great question: The short reply is I taped it to the plate without covering the drain holes. If you send me an email I could share some pictures: mrhafe@icloud.com It has worked well for me for the past 2.5 years.
I can add, after reviewing it this morning, that I used 1" Gorilla tape, centered the transducer (to make sure it would fit the kayak recess), made sure it was flat and level against the plate, and carefully ran one loop of tape across the middle. Water still flows over it. It seems to function fine. If you drag your kayak across mud or sand, I recommend you hose out the drain holes in the plate.
Hey bro, what do you call that rubber plug you put on the wire to seal a hole you drill from the kayak but still able to adjust the wire length? Can it be found on hardware store?
'Rubber grommet' 😎, they should be available at your local hardware store, and they should be rather inexpensive 😅. Wet the grommet with some dish soap and it will be slippery enough to pop over your cable. Use a small flat-end screwdriver to push the grommet into the drilled hole. Thanks for watching! Best regards!
@@Hafe-zn1pr Thanks for the reply, just got a passport 12 looking to put fishfinder, but the one the advice is from hobie kit and kinda expensive to get. Lucky your video pop up and this would work..hehehe
Love the vids Dan
Thanks
Nice. For the 10.5. Where did u put your hobie cart wheels through? The drain holes under the seat?

Dr. Holst, did you find a better solution or did you give mine a try?
