At the beginning they're wearing red outfits which is a very positive color for Asians and symbolizes their innocence. Then you see them in school uniforms that are red, blue, and white, the blue symbolizing the dark side of their natures, but they're in balance. After Dami finds the spellbook (the one from Good Night) in the library the girls form a coven and touch dark magic. Yoohyeon's inner darkness is released (the dream where she touches the black goop oozing out of the mirror) and she burns the little spider that Jiu had captured. This senseless act angered the guardian spirit of spiders (she is the figure covering Gahyeon's eyes when she is in bed) and she curses them to walk the earth forever, neither alive nor dead. They have become spirits of nightmare who bring bad dreams to mortals, as you see them doing in Chase Me. We also see the butterflies around Jiu burning away as her innocence is lost and at the end they appear in all blue outfits symbolizing that they are now dominated by the dark side of their natures. Jiu runs and locks the gate to the school to keep them trapped inside. Jiu is a little stronger than the others and still has some good in her. The school later becomes the hotel you see in Chase Me for story purposes. The MV was shot at a chateau in Normandy. What makes the story hard to follow is that the individual sequences are not all in chronological order, but are mixed up. We are shown the results of Yoohyeon burning the spider before she actually burns it. An interesting little side note is that when the girls were shown the video for the first time, Siyeon was so affected by it that she burst into tears at the end.
I think you missed that at 5:55 Yoohyeon burns the spider that Jiu had captured. This was the reason they got cursed and when Jiu noticed she closed the gate so that the evil doesn't spread outside the school. The fact that the spider is related to the curse will be even more apparent in You and I.
Yoohyeon triggering the curse by burning the spider is the most popular theory, but I have a slightly different take on it. If you rewatch the MV, you'll notice that things start going wrong before Yoohyeon burns the spider (JiU seeing herself, Gahyeon in the bed, etc). My theory is that JiU actually triggered the curse by trapping the spider. Yoohyeon becomes the primary target of the Spider Queen / Spooky Attic Lady / whatever you want to call her when she burns the spider. You'll notice that Yoohyeon plays a special 'victim' role in subsequent MV's. Anyway, like I said, that's just my take. I'm not saying I'm right and you're wrong, just that this makes more sense to me, considering the timeline in the MV.
@@keithcraig506 tbh there isn't a right or wrong interpretation since DCC don't usually tell us every single detail of the storyline but Yoohyeon burning the spider being what triggered the curse has been confirmed by DC multiple times in interviews. IMO the "weird" things that happen earlier in the MV are there to set the tone and indicate the place is haunted and yes Jiu is partially responsible too and so she spends the rest of the nightmare series trying to save Yoohyeon lol
They never cleared the storyline but i think the curse started from the mirror when Yoohyeon touches it and that black liquid curses her, then she slowly starts to get possessed by the curse, she started to spread the curse through different members like Gahyeon and Handong who also changes after that, then SuaYeon noticed it, if you look at the scene when Handong throws a paper plane and Suayeon is there noticing here, they started to assume something is wrong both went to night time to check if they can find a way to help the member but their first journey they just end up at two way road so Suayeon tries again but Siyeon road has a secret passage. So next time she wants alone Yoohyeon slowly started to lose her control and she kills the spider then she realised she is cursed and she packs and tries to run away but it was already late, you will see her school outfits changes to her dark look and blue outfit, Dami tries to find a solution but couldn't able to find it except the book of nightmares Siyeon finally finds the photograph and realised it's their fate, and JiU closes the door so no one can leave and curse don't spread out. The reason i think it started from the mirror is because they were trapped in the mirror world, and their 2nd single album name is Fall Asleep In The Mirror.

The location where it was filmed was at the Château de Janvry, which is a stately home in the French town of Janvry, Essonne. It is located 27 km southwest of Paris. The castle dates from the 17th century.
This house/school place is the hotel from Chase Me and Good Night. The MV flashes between pre curse and during the process of them getting cursed after Yoohyeon killed/burned the spider. The outfits and setting for from bright/pure/not curse to dark/gloomy/cursed. Jiu closed the gate to keep the nightmare/curse from escaping before she was completely taken over by the curse herself. There are 6 or 7 if you include Breaking Out. The next installment is a critical turning point in the story.

my theory about fly high is that the mansion they used to live in was demolished and the hotel we saw in Chase me and good night was built on top. Since at the end of Fly high JiU locks the gates just so no one can get close to that place because they had been cursed by the spider that yoohyeon burned.

The Hunter finds them many years later in Chase Me, after the former magic school was turned into a hotel, with the trapped Nightmares haunting the visitors. After retrieving the book and getting rid of the guy in the mirror in Goodnight, the Nightmares get the Book of Spells and reverse the curse. They become human again and escape into the world at the end of Goodnight, but they lose the Book, which protected them from the Spider Queen. The next song after that is You and I (aka Yoo and I 😋 ). Fan facts: Fly High was shot at a time when Sabrina was hitting our screens and the magic schools were a popular theme.
